The trees must be from a mod. I don't know what it is. I'd like to try it out! The game looks so different, like the land has regenerated.
Watching these Fallout vids has given me a hankering to play again.
I was really intrigued by the greenery - like you said, it gave the feel of the renewal of the wasteland either by Harold (if the Player used the right ointment) or by the Project Purity. Very nice look, I would love to find out what mod did that!
Agreed 100% on it making me want to play. I was in the middle of one of the best characters I've ever played on Fallout 3 when the puppy knocked the 360 off the table and broke my Fallout 3 disk. I have been whining and pleading ever since for my son or husband to provide me with another copy of the game, to no avail.

I even showed them this:

So finally I just started another New Vegas game, but - keep having game ending glitches on it. Example: Vault 34, where the Boomers originated - loaded up on so much from their armory that I couldn't walk, then got attacked by a pack of golden geckos and died. Suddenly all my saves were corrupt except the one before I entered the vault. Urk.
The last two times I went into REPCONN (might have the spelling wrong on that) and did those quests - same thing happened, that kicked me back to my first save in Goodsprings. Urk.
Same thing happened as soon as I entered the Khan's main tent. Urk.
I like New Vegas, but all the glitches are game-ending types; and so far I have yet to get into the final Legion camp where the big guy with the mask is; never got to the battle at Hoover Dam; (so obviously never saw the aftermath of my decisions and choices in that war). Really frustrating, but aside from that a really fun game.
Urk.
