More later- but for now, I simply LOVE your solution to the spriggan issue. Which SHOULD have been in the original game. Morrowind is still my favorite TES game- but.... I do wish there had been alternates to many of the quests other than "kill it." And, as you have just shown, such alternates are quite possible and provide the player with more scope for role-playing.

And your Jeleen is also spot-on. And I also very much like how you tied the "side-quest" with Mirisa into the main.

Salutes.

I'm all caught up!

I've been enjoying this approach to Bloodmoon, and it's nice to see your twist on a familiar story (well, semi-familiar; I haven't played Bloodmoon for a good 3 or 4 years now...). The peaceful solution to the Spriggan problem in the last few part was a good example of this, instead of the typical "shankyshankshank!" solution that most of Morrowind's quests end up with, and I like the use of the Maized Band in the last chapter, which was a clever touch. The way you also used the Spriggan quest to segue into the quest to go find Mrisa was elegantly done as well, and I'm looking forward to seeing if this will kickstart the main Bloodmoon quest as well or not.

Great work, and I can't wait to see the rest!

“Then…why..” I said starting to look at the Spriggan.

”I but do the bidding of our Mother.” She said putting her hands up, defensively.

Lol. Politics in the Aedric world.

Oh, I forgot to mention in my last post, but the chapters with Ulfgar in them were an absolute joy to read; the conversation between the three immortals was a great read.

Yay, new cover art! I appreciate and enjoy the illustrations. The wolf and bear armor standoff is a gem.

A smith and a meadhall. Sounded like a recipe for disaster to me.

Wow...

Amazing stuff...

I loved the bit with the spriggan; the brutal kicking in of the Thirskian Richard*-head and the epic fight at the end...

Such amazing writing, and the post-machine keeps on churning... laugh.gif ...

Love it!!...

Nice one!!...

*Applauds heartily*...

Nice to finally get caught up on Sethyas, his trials and tribulations in Solthseim...Wait, Is That A Giant Frakking Howling Wolf Head Helmet!

That's the kind of stuff that gives rise to the mythic stuff involving Fenris. Seriously, cut that cacat out.

On an actually serious nature, I love how you've managed to tie everything together so nicely. Sethyas needs to find somebody to forge the Magical Mine-Ice, gets caught in a blizzard, is rescued by an immortal Nord looking for somewhere. Sethyas acquires Wolf Armor, obtains Magical Mine-Ice dagger, proceeds to screw over Factor, is forced by colony's growth to find a priestess, and follows path of priestess to Mead Hall. At Mead Hall of Awesome Fun Times, Sethyas goes Incredible-Hulk on the Unworthy D-Bag, rescues priestess, gets shrine arranged, and learns about location that is actually an afterlife. Gets clued into the Snow-Critters of Insta-Death while he's at it.

These last two installments were particularly well done. Ulfgar's simple reasoning, his desire, all of that plays nicely.

Then you go ahead and give him a wicked dose of culture. Dolled up ladies get dressed for dinner. Ulfgar dresses himself properly for his Death. It shows the importance that he attaches to the fight, that spending the extra time to give Seth a worthy opponent is a mark of his respect.

Also, he then looks that much more bloodied when stomping up to Tsun and saying "Let me in, Gas-for-Breath." Really, it's the subtle payoffs that matter.

And oh, what's this, Four Stones-a-Standing?

I picked up Bloodskal and felt no fear in my heart. Only peace, and a sense of purpose.

Oh my gosh, awesome. If a malevolent soul trapped in a weapon or artifact can negatively influence the bearer, it seems natural that someone could be helped in the same manner. Only I never thought of that!

Sethyas’ wry humor and unbroken sense of wonder despite all of the weirdness he has witnessed are part of what makes him such a compelling character. Both on beautiful display here.

Wow... blink.gif ...

That story at the end sounds like that one about Richard the Lionheart being killed by a young lad who was in a rage about his father's being killed while under Richard's care...Well, I say Richard was killed by...Mortally wounded would be more accurate...But yeah...Kids eh?... biggrin.gif ...

Btw...Richard pardoned the boy and told his subordinates that they were to "Visit no harm to the boy after my death." and gave the boy some money and bade him depart...As soon as the king died the underlings strung the boy up anyways, as a warning...Pleasant story, no?...

Aaaamywho...

Love this chapter...The stones sound epic!...Is this a permanent upping of stuff or a temporary boost?...Time will tell, I suppose... biggrin.gif ...

Blimey, Morrowind dragur's are a bit scary aren't they?...

Nicely done though....

Love it!!...

Nice one!!...

Cool and fun fact I remembered/thought about that may or may not be coincidence...

If there are those stones in Brodir's Grove...Which I can't remember from the Skyrim version of Solstheim...But this is not a shocker...

Ermmm...

Oh, yeah...The Welsh word for brothers (which is what some of these circles of stones are called) is...

Brodyr...

True fact...Thought it relevant...Shared...I shall away... biggrin.gif ...
