This will probably mean more to the English Chorrol chums, but I'm quite impressed so I thought I would share...
We have a range of budget hotels here in blighty called Travelodge, a bit like coaching inns I guess. Very Cheap. I work away a lot and so stay in them all the time.
But, tonight I arrive to be told that as there is no hot water in my room, I have been moved to what turns out to be a 4 star spa hotel 10 minutes up the road.
that's the equivalent of living in a shed, and being moved unexpectedly to a mansion.
I was so surprised I drove right past it to start with...

OMG! That's amazing! Lucky.

I remember when my boyfriend and me went on a road trip from London to north wales to visit his nan. We ended up staying overnight at a Travelodge... never again! The shower was broken, and they refused to do anything because all the other rooms were full and it was too late for us to find anywhere else to stay.

Could've done with an upgrade like yours! tongue.gif haha

Travelodge is a US company, actually - it was established in California in the 30's. Been in many of them across the US myself over the years.

Oh right ok.
I knew there was an American equivalent, but I didn't know they were the same company...
