I like werewolves most. I've always liked werewolves. I like vampires too, but in my opinion, werewolves are much more epic. They're stronger, faster, and much more terrifying than vampires. The thrill of the hunt must be epic, and it would be cool to be able to turn into a powerful beast.

The Necronomicon is the fictional book that forms a central part of H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos; it's supposedly a tome bound in human skin written by the mad Arab Abdul Azhred (sp?) detailing the nature of the sinister pantheon of Lovecraft's Mythos. The most famous lines of the Necronomicon is the 'that which is dead' couplet.

So yeah, I picked Cthluhu.

I picked up a little of this playing Fallout 3 - loved every part of that Dunwich Building and its mini-quests! Now I want to play Fallout 3 again!

I had an idea. I haven't read the Necronomicon yet, but it's about number 45 on my list of books to read before I die XD I heard so much about it on pagan websites I made a note to read it at some point.

Minotaur FTW! I also like Cthulhu and any other abomination of Lovecraft's, as the idea of something so mind-crackingly WRONG, so uncomprehendingly wrong... Haven't read any of it yet though,but will do so if I find a book.

Considering that it's a fictional book made up entirely by H.P. Lovecraft as part of his Cthulhu mythos, has no historical basis, and was never meant to be anything spiritual (Lovecraft was an atheist and the Cthulhu Mythos stories were designed as an exploration/explanation of Nietschzian philosophies) I think that those people recommending it to you have been had...

Or the author just slapped Necronomicon on there for some brand recognition, which, from reading the product description, appears to be the case. In fact, it has pretty much nothing to do with Lovecraft at all, from what I can gather.

How very disappointing; I'll have to find another dark accursed tome I can use in order to reshape my mortal form and drown the stars in blood, terror and madness. Ah well.

I tried to help, lol. Well at least now I know it's a fake. I should have known it was when I found out the site was infested with wanna-be's. It made me not want to be a wanna-be. I even found the book at Hastings today and saw it was $8. I was like "Wow...that's cheap..." I'm glad I didn't waste my time. Sorry for wasting yours :/

I remember when that book first came out. As an avid Lovecraft fan, I read some of it. It was basically something put together by fans (I hope), for compassions and giggles I think. It was all pretty meh. You will not go insane from just opening the front cover or anything.

Well that's no fun. When I looked at the book I saw a bunch of odd writings in it and thought "Ooh! I'm being helpful!"

I hate it when something looks awesome online or on TV, and when you order it you have to pay a lot for the item itself and then the shipping fee, and when you finally get whatever you ordered, it's crappy as hell.

I voted werewolf amongst the ones on the list as I like its strength, agility and tolerance to pain. As an avid lover of the Nordic myths though, my favorite creature is Fenrir!

Werewolves are definitely my favored feature creature. When I was still in my single digit years, there was a tv series imaginitavely dubbed "Werewolf". Given its nature and later slot, I wasnot supposed to watch it. I did sneak a few peeks here and there. It didn't traumatize me, as it was supposed too.

Naw, I became a werewolf in my own head. It was my childhood security blanket. If the monsters attacked, I could just shift into wolf form. Monsters were always monsters. You never knew who was a werewolf.

I finally voted on this thread: Other, for Pegasus.

Unfortunately, the maker didn't put Fenrir in the "Wolf Faction" and the other werewolves attacked him when Maxical was living with the werewolf packs up in the Jerall mountains. The author of Fenrir did that so he would consider wolves as enemies and protect the Player from them.

I considered just opening the Fenrir mod in the CS and adding him to the Wolf Faction, but that would have caused NPC's to attack him.

Since the werewolf mod I was using made all wolves friendly to your character (and gave you a werewolf spirit you could summon if you needed help in a fight), I just disabled Fenrir and enjoyed the wild wolves as friends instead.

My favorite mythical creature is the nice customer.

That's not a mythical creature. That's an endangered species.

Voted "zombie" only because I'm such a huge fan of "The Walking Dead" and the zombie genre in general. It is really a tie between them and Dragons, but the poll limited me to one vote.

Thanks very much to those who reported this spambot. I would ask that folks simply report such posts, rather than making additional posts discussing them. Not only do such posts further derail the thread(s) in question but, in this case, it took longer to delete the 12 discussion posts related to this incident than it did to eliminate the 2 offending posts and to prosecute the spambot.
