First impressions?
Me, I have vowed never again to buy a CoD game after I discovered that Black-ops shipped on a broken engine (PC version, at least, and I can't be bothered to buy it again, not worth the money). That showed me that the devs of the series don't really care about what they are doing with the series anymore.
I see no exception here, just a lot of explosions next to famous landmarks. You aren't going to win me back over by filling all your hype with cliches, Activision.

I don't expect anything else to happen, either. CoD is getting too comfortable as the king of online multiplayer FPS now, which is going to make it that much easier for another game to come along and dethrone it simply because it is fresh, whereas CoD has descended into doing nothing more than rehashing old ground again and again and again.
Seriously, it is time for this series to die. It has become quite clear to me that there is nothing else that can be done with it, so why don't we finish off the Modern Warfare plot, and then move on? Oh yeah... because Activision has taken over for EA as master milker of franchises now.
Modern Warfare 3 is definitely going to be the last CoD title I will show any remote interest in. After this game, it's milkin' time.
Those are my thoughts. CoD is dying; the devs are completely out of ideas, and the sooner Activision can realize this, the sooner the gaming industry can move on.
