Anyone else from here go to see Epica at the London Scala last night?

I was there with my best friend and holy hell were they good.
The support, Revamp, were alright, but definitely don't live up to the hype that Floor Jansen (the lead singer, who's widely regarded as one of the best female vocalists in metal) creates. Her previous band After Forever were much better, but that's just my opinion.

Now, Epica were flawless. Simone was spot on with her vocals, and the rest of the band were similarly amazing. Plus, they played The Divine Conspiracy, which is one of my favourite songs. They also played The Imperial March, which made my life. The poor guy behind me got headbutted because he was out of time with my headbanging >.<

Edit: Something else that I thought was awesome, was them playing "Keep My Grave Open" by Sentenced before Revamp came on. That's the first time I've ever heard Sentenced in this country (unless it was someone that I showed them too), and they're my absolute favourite band. I was rly chuffed biggrin.gif

No. A few too many times zones away and my darn fast travel is acting up again. I did pull up some Epica you tubes though - fabulous! Maybe if they tour Vegas or Bravil. . . tongue.gif

Out of curiosity, what songs did you check out?

I'd love it if somehow we could go watch our favourite bands in Tamriel. Then again, I'd love it if I could be in Tamriel.

I didn't go, but I really like the songs I've heard by them. They play fairly often on my Pandora station.

Divine Conspiracy, Imperial March and Dance of Fate.

Heh, we have an extremely distant storyline involving a concert at either the Arena or Arcane University. Benefits go toward rebuilding Kvatch. It will include a Swedish band with a blond Bosmer right in the middle of it all. laugh.gif

All brilliant songs, Acadian!

Lmao! That sounds hilarious.

For anyone that cares, here's a video from the gig.
