Hmmm... To be honest I'm surprised they're releasing it so soon, I would have thought they would wait until console hardware caught up with PCs a bit more. And it's being made by Armor Games.... I'll reserve judgement seeing as Crush the Castle was great but I'm not impressed with a lot fo their stuff. Also having it on the wii is odd, I wonder if it will be a different version seeing as the wii is underpowered even compared to the xbox 360.
Still I'm all for the setting, there's more interesting lore about summerset isle than about Skyrim which I believe was the previous thought and I do hope they read enough of it to produce something more lore friendly than oblivion. Should be a good place to play a magical character anyway.
As far as what I'd like to see... More imagination like there was in Morrowind and less generic old world of oblivion (maybe bring back guar...) and sufficent wastelands. Ditch the fast travel system in preferance for boats, magic (bring back intervention and mark/recall) and the like and get rid of that magic compass (I know mods can do this but it makes the game unplayable because no one tells you where things are).
Either way I'll give it a play.
I have to agree with Olen here, the compass and fast travel system made Oblivion far too easy. Mark/Recall, Intervention and Levitation are all spells that I missed, and I desperately hope for their return.
Another thing I hope will return are the Legendary artifacts that existed in Morrowind (sure they existed to a lesser degree in Oblivion as well), and of course Daedra items should be scattered through the land instead of appearing on virtually any opponent once you reached a certain level...I still fondly remember the great hunt for the daedra items in Morrowind.
