I know it's been out in the US since 26 october but it came out here in sweden 21 november (I've had it since the realease date)
I think the game is awesome, I'm getting used to the drums.

What do you think about it.
Colonel Mustard
While I have only played the demo I can't say I like it as much as Legends of Rock (even if it is just because the LoR bass player looks like Thing from The Addam's Family). While the instrumenus are nice I like guitar hero mainly for the guitar playing and music, and I can't be bothered to get the extra hardware involved, and I'm not massively keen on the song list. If I did get a new guitar hero I'd probably get the Aerosmith or the Led Zep one rumoured to be coming out now World Tour has been released.
Kiln
I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but I hate guitar hero, rock band, and other such games with a passion. Seems like I'm the only one I know that doesn't like them but I think if you wanna play a guitar buy a real one...same with drums. I've played guitar hero and was good at it but I can't stand something so pointless and repetetive.
Bolzmania
If you're playing the Guitar Hero drums on expert it's identical with real drums as you have to learn the rythm.
By the way, why are you posting a reply if you don't even like any guitar hero games?

And to The Bean. There's not coming a Led Zepelin game but there is coming a metallica game.

Well you asked...just figured I'd share my opinion.
Bolzmania
The decription clearly says "If you have it, what do you think of it". I doubt that you have it.
Kiln
Nope, I don't own it. But I have played it, and I didn't like it.

I'm sure you've posted or talked about things you didn't like as well...no need to get all defensive man, its just a video game.
Bolzmania
It's just that I'm so tired of people saying "buy a real guitar" because I actually do have a guitar and I'm pretty decent on it too. But I really think that I should be able to talk about guitar hero without someone saying "buy a real guitar".

i have to admit he got you there biggrin.gif
Colonel Mustard
I've gotta admit thbt the whole 'get a proper guitar' argument does tick me off a bit-I've got a friend who plays guitar for real and he says that it can be just as hard at times, and using that logic, you could say 'Go and join the army instead of playing Call of Duty/Medal of Honour/whatever.' The whole point of video games is, after all, to deliver the experience without the effort otherwise needed.

Though you did jump down Kiln's throat somewhat Daedroth.

I have played it once, but the song list were horrible it were no good songs, on legends of rock they had atleast some good songs like raining blood and in the belly of a shark. I think rock band is much more fun, because I can make my character to a complete psychopath.

I played World Tour once, and even though all the songs weren't unlocked at the time I played it, I was kinda disappointed with the song list, but the game was really not different enough from the other ones for anything else to really set it apart. (except for the weird touchpad soloing which I didn't understand at all)

SIDE NOTE: Guitarists are the most horribly elite people on this earth. It's my first reaction to scream "THIS ISNT REAL" too, but then you have to take a step back. Guitar Hero and other games are getting young kids into some pretty good music, hell, I've even heard of some good bands for the first time from Guitar Hero. So my thoughts are that if it gets a kid interested in music whether it be as a listener or a musician, then it's a good thing.

People have taken the mindset that Guitar Hero is going to replace real musicians or something which is simply ridiculous.
Bolzmania
Ya one thing that I really liked about legends of rock was the hammerons (they are notes that you don't have to strum) you could actually hold down the button before the note auto strummed. In all other guitar hero games you have to tap the hammerons which make it ten times better. Also Legendes of rock had much more free downloadable songs and world tour has like 3 free songs.
Colonel Mustard
Legends only has 4 free ones, so they're about the same.

That said, World Tour does seem to have a lot more things you can download anyway (I'm tempted to get it just for the Jimi Hendrix songs you can download, all of which I love).
Bolzmania
4 songs? Are you joking. I downloaded boss battle track pack (3), we three kings, i am murloc, top gun anthem, halo theme and dropkick murphys track pack (3) all of them for free. When I add those together its 10 songs.
Colonel Mustard
I forgot to take the track packs into account. And I haven't visited the Playstation store where you can download them for a while so I must have forgotten all of them.
