have an xbox 360 and quite alot of games for them, at this moment in time i dont need to worry about the bills etc ( about time really) due to me paying alot of them in advance, and I have about £500 spare, After paying the bills in advance and putting some into savings etc and i was thinking abput purchasing a ps3. I dont want any get a ps3 it kicks xboxs boat crap just some good old advice if the ps3 would be worht the purchase, was going to buy it around next week with dark sector and condemned 2. But was thinking as I said do you think it would be worth buying a ps3. As it will a while before i am i na situation to go and buy a console lol. But just some advice on if you think its worth the money, what games would you recomend etc. Thanks for helping a fellow gamer

Honestly though, I'm not sure I would yet. I was one of those who dashed out and got it when it came out, and I regret it. Not because it's a bad console - it isn't bad at all. Simply because the price is still far too high in my opinion, and it doesn't really have a large enough selection of exclusive games yet to make that financial outlay worthwhile.

Of course, it's your money, and if that £500 is burning a hole in your pocket, just dying to be spent, go for it. You just won't see the benefit until later on in the year I suspect. By which time the price might well have dropped...
