A Merry Christmas to all Chorrol.com-members from me!!!
milanius
And a very merry Christmas to you, dear Minkey, as well as all of my fellow Chorrolites cake.gif
Olen
Indeed merry christmas to all. Let the drinking... festivities begin!

So who's for cake and mulled wine?
Wolfie
Merry Christmas to you too Minque, and everyone else as well!

Pudding and whiskey for me, my good man tongue.gif
The Metal Mallet
Merry Christmas to all! And happy holidays to those who might not celebrate as well!

I will definitely partake in the "festivities" *cough*drinking*cough.

Where's the rum!?
milanius
I'm gunning for some cheap domestic champagne this New Year's Eve <_< after all, it's my turn to celebrate, with the new job.
Ibis

Merry christmas[1] all! smile.gif

Did someone say drinking? Oh yeah, tonight's festivities may just include some of that. I've been invited to a chistmas party. They live across the street. No need to drive home. biggrin.gif tongue.gif evillol.gif

Merry !@#$ing Christmas!

Yeah, I had to. Any other Christmas is just wimpy and full of fail.

I hope everyone eats a lot of Christmas turkey/ham and gets most of what they wanted for Xmas.

Merry Christmas everybody!

Except us vegetarians of course. My gut is very full and I had a nice nap today because of the heat and the food. Very good Christmas, love the presents my girlfriend got me, though I actually opened those a couple of days ago.

In Christmas news, a music single which is inaudible to humans has become NZ's number 1 single this Christmas. Its done by the SPCA (animal shelter) with all proceeds going there and it is only audible to dogs. I think that is very cool.
canis216
In an addendum to Zarr's holiday wishes, I'll say that I hope everyone gets something they didn't expect that they're really happy with. There is a small element of delight lost (I think) if we get what we ask for and only that. Or perhaps I should say that that the unexpected delight is just that more rare and valuable.

Ha..I´ve a daughter who´s vegetarian...she fixed herself some nice christmas food.....and treated the rest of the family as well! So nice!

Channler
Hmm.. Well I had Chinese food for our christmas dinner.. Heh its a family tradition. Chinese food and a movie.

Great time, hope everyone elses was as enjoyable!

Hope everyone here had a good Christmas and hopefully have a very good new year smile.gif Also hope you got most of what you wished for, I'm currently waiting for a few things that we ordered from the US, including click tongue.gif

I had to work Christmas (time and a half pay) but intend to enjoy the next two days off. Since my paycheck is two days after Christmas; I will be getting some presents then. Yeh, it didn't really feel alot like Christmas this year, but we did see a beautiful Christmas rainbow from the front window at work this afternoon. So I made a Christmas wish on it. We'll see ... wink.gif

Hope everybody had a lovely Christmas, and has a fantastic New Year to come.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!

Hope the holidays have been wonderful for everyone. I see Canis gave all of us a gift in the Fanfic section- oh boy!

Got the DVD set of Firefly and Serenity. Other items are somewhere in the bowels of the postal service. (Stupid Amazon.) Ah well, just means the gift-receiving will go on for several more days (weeks?)

Also, (drum roll), my insane (in a good way) sister got me a Kindle ebook. It is quite amazing. If anyone cares to hear, I will do a full review....

Now I am off to read electrons of one sort and another.

Happy Holidays!
milanius
"Happy Holidays" is turning into a nightmare, ZOMG ohmy.gif since all the kids want a state-of-the-art PC [translation: a medium-budget bucket of chips with some 8500gt] three days before New Year, we work OVERTIME! In a way, I'm Santa's little helper, double-checking if all those components are ready to be shipped, then used as Lego blocks for computers. Haha, Mil's an elf.

I am also considering bringing that plastic tree I have stashed to the storage area where I work. Probably won't do it, my co-workers would look at me like I'm gone completely nuts. biggrin.gif
canis216
Heh heh... new PCs for one and all! Me, I just did some quick-and-dirty upgrading over the last month or so. First I threw in an extra 512 MB of RAM (bringing me to 768 total) and then maybe two weeks ago I added a spanking-new graphics card. For maybe $130-150 altogether. So that's how I've managed to start playing Oblivion for the holidays. Then my sister gave me Shivering Isles and all the official mods pack (KOTN, etc.) for X-Mas.

So I guess my happy holidays are including a lot of Oblivion.

Edit: It's kind of funny putting all that new stuff on a circa-2002 PC, of course. My CD-DVD drive is still an aging wreck, after all. Processor is still only 2GHz. But it works.

HAPPY NEW YEAR , EVERYBODY .... Have a Great ' 0 8 !!!

Tonight on New Years Eve I will be doing my laundry in the laundryroom over the canal leading into our lake and also watching the firework competions over the lake. There are three different private residences that compete with each other every fourth of July and New Years Eve to put on the biggest fireworks show .. and they do it all 3 at once. Best fireworks displays I've ever seen. They say that the guy over on the rich East bank always wins; but hey, everyone is the winner to see such a show.

Err, happy new year. Man, I can't believe I missed this thread till now.

*engage random rant mode*

And OMG, it's 2008 now! I just got into the habit of writing down 2007 on my test-papers in the last two months. Now I need another ten months to get used to writing 2008 on them! Why?! The world is just not fair!

*disengage random rant mode*

And that was that. So happy new year again and have a good one, don't get too drunk and stuff. The folks here already quit their fireworks after half an hour. Meh, I don't really care. It's hard to sleep with all the racket, the stuff stinks, and they'd been doing it from this morning already. (Last year's morning).

Happy New Year!!!!!

Happy new year, I think I might go off and have my first afternoon tea of the year.
Lord Revan
1812 Overture anyone? biggrin.gif No, not really, been playing Sandstorm by Darude while online last night. I didn't see or hear any fireworks in my part of the metroplex........... or was I too ingrossed in my own affairs?

I played GH at Tenek's house, had lots of bagel bites, a couple minibottles of coke zero, and played through a half-game of Magic the Gathering........ not a typical party between students halfway through their loast year until high (I think); it was just Tenek, his four lil' brothers (who don't get along very well when it comes to winning and losing), his mom, and I.

EDIT: Crap, I'm not just getting into middle school I'm getting out of it! wacko.gif
Olen
Belated happy new year. Edinburgh is a great place to see in hogmany.

Hope everyone has a good 2008.

It may not be typical, but there aren't many things better than Guitar Hero and bagel bites.

*is teh jealous*

No one around here really plays Magic anymore. I have a box full of Magic cards.

My New Years was just like every other midnight and day.

My New Year's Eve was spent working ridiculously hard at work until 11:30pm. I got back to my house with someone I know from work and we didn't even have the drinks ready when 12 hit. That was a bit disappointing and I hope that never happens again.
canis216
After the clock struck midnight I blasted The Black Keys for 15-20 minutes and then walked down to the footbridge crossing the Clark Fork River here in Missoula. It was pleasant.

Happy New Year everyone! May your best wishes come true! That and the other usual things like loads of chicks, money and whatever makes you happy.

In other news I'm gonna get a new PC!!! Hurray! This one will play Oblivion much better. I'll probably get the GOTY version to celebrate. That and a healthy dose of mods to make the game more enjoyable.

Relating my New Year, I spent it with two close friends which I've known from almost the beggining of my life: my cousin and my best mate. We spent a whole week at my house in the mountains together with my parents and our (my parents' and mine) godchildren (yes, I'm a godfather albeit the "little" godfather as we are reffered to in Romania). It was great. Hope next year will be even better.

Cheers!
