Black Hand
Wasn't sure if this would go in Fan Fic, or in General. So I figured put it in General, where its sort of 'anything goes' type of attitude.

I would like to make two points here.

1.) This is'nt about bragging rights, so please dont post anything like: "MY BABBLEMAGE Is Lebel 34890!! I HAVE DDric Armyor w CE Chemeleoen!!! My Character can kick your character in the can!"

2.)I am simply interested into how your characters are 'translated' into Morrowind or Oblivion Stats.

So Ill go first.

Name: Sethyas Velas

Race: Dark Elf

Class: Assassin, Games Version. Not Custom.

General Level: I feel he peaked at about 32, then kind became the invincible shadow after that.

Strength: 120/100 Corprus enhanced

Intelligence: 90/100 lotsa alchemy, plus RP wise, an assassin must always use his wits

Willpower: 32/100, Im not exactly a Spellcaster

Agility: 100, I fired a lot of arrows, and took a LOT of hits on my light armor

Speed: 100, Stabbed a lot of folks with a dagger, and ran all over Vvardenfell. Not sure if there is a bandit cave I missed, but I am looking!

Personality: 40/100 - Sethyas is not what I view as a big talker, nor is he a speechcraft extrardanaire, usually using bribes to get information. The unfortunate consequence of being an assassin tends to make one quiet, and paranoid. Sethyas is this, and yet those who have come to know him a bit will find an unwavering loyalty, unless they are his marks on a writ. Another unfortunate consequence of being an Assassin.

Endurance: 80/55/100, 55 is my actual, as I havent done a whole lot of Spear or heavy Armors, 80 is from the Corprus.

Luck: 50/100 He always seems to make those long jumps.....

Basic Appearance: The Shoulder Length parted Dark Hair, with the Black Hand face, in-game.

Clothing/Armor: I try to RP as well I can while playing Morrowind, so I usually wear Dark Brotherhood Armor while hunting Bandits, or am out in the open fields.

While doing Writs for the Tong, I put the brown robe with the hood down over the armor, and wore the common gloves instead of the gauntlents for the public writs, and imagined my character was wearing the hood.

As for the 'downtime' I also try to RP my Character having a normal life, during which I will wear a series of common clothes. I dont see Sethyas having a flair for expensive or flashy clothing, despite his coffers being to the point of overflowing.

Major Skills

Sneak 100
Shortblade 100
Marksman 100
Light Armor 87 Getting there
Acrobatics 100 Just jump everywhere you go.

Minor Skills
Long Blade 67, You need at least one 'Heavy Battle Skill' i think
Athletics 71, some training, but mostly running around
Alchemy 88 LOTS of potions,....I really need those. Love Abelle Chriditte for her Grandmaser Apparatus...
Block, 22...not too fond of sheilds apparently
Security 66, picked a lot of locks too.

My View of my Character.

I see Sethyas as 'Chaotic Good'. He is skillful in his art and considers self-control to be the true mark of wisdom and power, though he takes lives, he does not necessarily feel guilt for executing a writ, as his mind is extremely philisophical and analytical in nature, he assumes death to be a part of life, and that all fears projected to death are merely fears.

He is not above using stealth and deception to acheive a goal, indeed, an assassins art is mostly in deception. It is being careful in not allowing ones self to go beyond what is needed that keeps Sethyas in Check, to some people gold is more important than ones situation in life. To Sethyas, gold cannot buy a good conversation, or the love of a good woman, these things come from being the type of person that people want to talk to and love. A difficult balance to achieve in being an Assassin, but one he strives for nonetheless.

So there is a basic template, follow your own path, and entertain me with your vivid desriptions and stats.

Ones I look forward to seeing, but not necessarily limited too:

Serene

Trey of High Rock

Simion Mandrake - yes mallet, I want him to have some stats!!

Tellie

etc. (Really, too many others for me too remember off the top of my head.)

Edit. You're right mallet, I did forget personality!
The Metal Mallet
Ask and ye shall receive! Here's Simion:

Name: Simion Mandrake

Race: Breton

Class: Assassin, custom.

Rel. Age: Late Thirties

Level: Let's say 36 (I think he's got the skills for that level)

Personality (YOU FORGET THIS ONE BLACK ohmy.gif): 70/100 but will decrease as insanity further developes

Strength: 80/100 (which I hope is stronger than average)

Intelligence: 95/100 yet steadily decreasing due to insanity (hence the slipups tongue.gif)

Willpower: 50/100 yet decreasing again (the insanity is "breaking his will")

Agility: 100 but can be boosted in fits of madness

Speed: 100 and again can be boosted by fits of madness

Endurance: 65/100

Luck: 55/100

Basic Appearance: Short, sandy brown hair. Steel blue eyes. A small, roundish scar above his right brow but an otherwise plain looking face (good for an assassin).

Attire: While "out of the prowl", he wears all black. soft leather clothing with a matching cape. Also wears an amulet with a constant effect enchantment of Night Eye, which was given to him during his time in the Morag Tong. Wears light shoes of the same colour.

As for his "commoner" attire, he wears simple, yet well made cotton clothing with reflects his "middle class" surroundings. Sticks to darker colours mostly (brown, black, some red...)

Seeing as how mine takes place in the Oblivion realm, I better do the Oblivion skillset:

Skills:

Blade 90/100 with a boost of 5-10 during insanity (preference: short blades)
Sneak 100
Security 70/100
Speechcraft 80/100 but will decrease as insanity develops
Light Armor 65/100 (perfers unarmoured but trained with it in Morag Tong)
Acrobatics 85/100
Marksmanship 75/100 (He's more of a knife thrower than an archer, I'm going to ignore that Oblivion doesn't have them)

My View on the Character:

Simion Mandrake has had a troubled past which is the main drive for him in my fic. He had honour while in the Morag Tong, but in his quest for vengeance, he has cast that aside in order to achieve what he wants. He is suffering from insanity which acts as a double edge sword. While with the insanity's assistance, his skills that enhance killing are increased, yet his self-control and willpower drain as the insanity's influence increases. The origin of the insanity has yet to be determined, but it's known that it thirsts for the spilling of blood. (It is not vampirism though! tongue.gif)

Like a proper assassin, Simion is cunning and calculating, and very deadly with the tools of death. He takes pride in his capabilties to get up close to a victim and slit their throat without them ever knowing what happened.

He does not think of himself as a "bad guy". He instead thinks simply for himself and seeks closure with his past.

Oh, goody! I'm coming!

Name: Luper Alkad

Race: Redguard

Class: Oasis, customized Battlemage.

General Level: Hmm, I'm talking about Luper the 2nd here who is by all means the 'true' Luper. I never played beyond level 26.

Strength: 98/100 Almost at the top! It could have been more, but I ran to Fyr as fast as I could. We were neighbours sort of and I had a recall to Tel Uvirith.

Intelligence: 90/100 Massive Alteration abuse. Sorry, but Luper is as good with spells as with his sword. You've got to love it. He isn't a mindless thug with a sword.

Willpower: 75/100 Hey, we are talking about a battlemage of sorts. Forget about the 'Redguards don't have Magicka' cliché.

Agility: 65/100 I tried hard, but mindstats got in the way. He was still pretty hard to hit though.

Speed: 55/100, Speed was Luper's neglected stat for a long time. He just superlevitated whenever a boost of speed was needed. (The boost was usually needed in a 3-dimensional vector, so things worked out in the end.)

Personality: 44/100 - Maybe not much for an insult machine, but his speechcraft skill was more than enough to compensate.
Endurance: 67/100, Yes, he is somewhat limited when talking about Hitpoints. But no one hits him, so who cares?

Luck: 50/100 Yup, he's a reasonably lucky fellow.

Basic Appearance: A male Redguard, using the beardless face with a relatively light tan and the black hair that is tied back into a ponytail.

Clothing/Armor: Ah, now we are getting to the juicy bit. Luper makes use of a fully customized set of gear. Indoril boots (taken from the boss in charge of that floating prison in Vivec), Orcish greaves (Sorry, Dren.), the Lord's Mail, Ebony Pauldrons, Glass Helmet. And let's not forget Wraithguard. It's such a shame they didn't make a version for the left hand. It was the coolest gauntlet ingame.

He also wears the Necromancer's amulet, Mara's ring and his very own Demonic ring. (Silly name, I know. It did however contain a very nice CE bound longsword and 7-9 fortify strength.)

Finally, his clothes were Caius' black pants and shirt. When he needed to do official mage bussiness, he wore a cheap blue robe over it. He wasn't the extravagant type clotheswise.

Waepons: I think that this is important because his choice of weaponry is a defining trait of Luper, even after more than a hundred years he still uses the same thing.

Basically, Luper uses either bound Longswords or whatever he has with him during his vacation. When he gets serious, he always switches to Chrysamere. The Paladin's blade is pretty much a part of him now.

Major Skills: I never quite thought Luper out, so I guess I'm lucky it worked out so well.

Longsword:100/100 Duh, he is a Redguard. Maxed out, he did uberdamage with Chrysamere.
Speechcraft:52/100 He was never the admiring type, but a couple of insults flew out easily. I do think that his luck had something to do with it.
Medium armour:64/100 This was a bit of an unnecesary skill maybe. The suit he wore evolved from Chitin through Bonemold to the mostly Heavy set he wears now.
Alteration: 92/100 Archmage and Archmagister coming through. Here's his secret to success in the mage factions.
Security: 45/100 Lockpicks, oh I love the lockpicks. (And the probes, I hate traps.)

Minor Skills: Lots of freako stuff here.
Armourer: Nothing beats joining the fighter's guild just for their free hammers.
Sneak: Ok, now this was totally worthless till he got the amulet of Shadows. After that, it was quite amusing to do critical hits with a Claymore.
Marksman: Eh, marksman? I couldn't aim decent both with the crosshairs and with the skill. Forget it, Luper stuck to rule one of melee vs ranged. Close the distance and hit them hard.
Block: Usefull in the beginning, when he switched to a Claymore, this skill got left behind.
Restoration: You can't fight when you're dead.

My View of my Character.

Luper is one angry Redguard. Mostly because he was thrown into jail at the age of 8 and got out when he was around 23. Right off the bat, he displayed some unusual characteristics for a Redguard, like enough skill in Magicka to keep up with an apprentice mage.

His personality is a rather awkward mixture. He is arrogant, prefers to look out only for himself and has a tendency for insulting everyone who is in charge. On the other hand, he has a soft spot for the beast races (probably due to himself having been practically a slave for so many years.) and is quite loyal to his friends. He is also more than willing to fight evil, though he needs to find a reason with himself before doing that. Oh yeah, he can't stand it when he makes one of his friends cry.

Mostly againts his will, he gets thrown onto the path of the Nerevarine. He displays a large dose of sarcasm during this quest as well as his problems with authority. For example, he punches Azura in the face when he meets the Daedra in the cavern of the Incarnate. Upon receiving the ring, Luper changes as he finally accepts his mission. He still complains but manages to round up everyone in a huge army, that is fortunately led by more experienced people since our Redguard prefers to work alone. He also has a few trust issues that help him when he speaks with the bad guys.

About killing, Luper is extremely reluctant towards killing at first but he grows over it rather fast. He still doesn't kill just for fun or anything. He always seeks a reason to please his sense for justice. So slavers like the Cammonna Tong are a fair target while your average traveller is not.

Physically, Luper only looks like a Redguard. He is actually an incarnation of Akatosh and as a result inherited the Aedra's power over time. (Hey, this explanation of Dragon-born Incarnate is a heck of a lot cooler than saying:,, Oh, he comes from the empire.")

Now, comparison of book Luper with game Luper. The book Luper is much more powerful than the game one. For one thing because book Luper breaks some of the rules rather often. The other is that game Luper is a normal Redguard while book Luper is an Aedra.

The Vulture
Name: Captain Magraf

Race: Imperial

Class: Pirate Captain

Level: 53

Atributes: they are all 100

Basic Appearance: A scruffy pirate w/ a slight beard and ponytail, and has a light tan.

Armor: Iron Armor, and Guard Helmet

Weapons: Magraf's Vengeance (club), and Magraf's Fury (Glass Battle Axe)

Major Skills: Blade 100, Blunt 100, Acrobatics 100, Marksman 100, Heavy Armor 100, Light Armor 100, and Athletics 100

Minor Skills: whatever is left, all 100

My view of my character

Magraf is a troubled young man. His father was a wealthy noble, and close ally to the Septim family. His father was murdered, and because Magraf got into Skooma trade, his father only left him the club he used in the war with the Akiviri. Magraf was furious, and killed his brother, who got the crown instead of him. Magraf, was exiled and ended up in a small port town called Vernuk. There he made friends in high places, and became the captain of The Sea Reaver. He was loyal to the Imperial Navy, until Admiral Rahmen sent his best friend on a suicide mission. Magraf confronted Rahmen and told him what he knew.Magraf and Rahmen argued until Rahmen tried to kill Magraf, but he escaped full of hatred. Magraf, along with his veteran crew became what they hated the most, they became renegades, they became Pirates. Captain Magraf soon became world renowned for his brutality, blaming every one of his enemies for his father's betrayal, and he slayed everyone of them with the club his father had left him. Captain Magraf is the number one enemy of the Imperial Navy, pillaging merchant ships, and small port towns, with a vast fleet that consisted of famous ships such as The Conception, and Donag's Shield. Captain Magraf is brutal, and is feared by all, especially by the man he hunts down, Admiral Rahmen.

Lord Revan
You didn't mention me Blacky!!! Oh well, I don't care

-----

name- Revan
race- Iso Naryyn
speciality- mixed
level- 55
strength- 120/100
intelligence- 95/100
willpower- 125/100
agility- 125/100
speed- 120/100 (speed and agility are mentally enhanced with supernatural reflexes)
endurance- 110/100
luck- 70/100
personality/charisma- 115/100

Appearance- tall, white hair (though red above the temples), young (late twenties), and broad shouldered. Like all Dark Naryyn, Revan's complextion is similar to Dunmer (gray skin with red iris).

Attire- Iso Naryyn Body Armor, pale armored sections over a black bodysuit. Full faced helm with a black visor. The armor is light, durable and streamlined (devoid of articulate spikes or obstructions, unlike deadric armor).

Weapons- two Iso Naryyn energy blades

major skills-

blades- 93/100
hand-to-hand- 95/100
speechcraft- 89/100
sneak- 100/100
pyschic energy- 100/100 (potential is unknown)

What I think of my character- Revan was an orphan and brought up by the Morag Tong on Vardenfell, but worked with the Dark Brotherhood for a time. He was indentured to various deadra lords for over a century, but now that he has earned his freedom (and found the first revelations of his origen and heritage) he's found a new cause.
Revan is disiplined and methodical; he knows what is right and wrong, but is not afraid to cross that line if it is nessasary. He can be ruthless to his (or his friends enemies), but is often quiet and calm to those he judges as trustworthy.
Essentially Revan embodies most of my values and traits that I wish I had.

ehh you,ll get the stats of Serene...later I,ll come around to it but not just right now, so bear with me ok??

Sorry, I didnt mention Luper Alkad either....as I said, there was to many to mention off the top of my head....

But now I know Revans Stats. And therefore his weaknessess....

**Sharpens Daedric Dagger, The Morrowind One, not the pathetic one from Oblivion....**

(Actually, how the hell could you go from a cool looking dagger like the one from Morrowind, to the one in Oblivion? and BEthsoft better not give me that 'Sheath' excuse.)
treydog
A nice idea- I finally got a chance to sit down and look at Trey's "final" stats.

Trey- just after the fall of Dagoth Ur:

Level 27 Breton, custom class (stealth emphasis), Sign- The Tower.

Strength 63
Intel 62
Will 60
Agility 63
Speed 61
End 60
Pers 59
Luck 54

I tend to go with the “balanced character” method of skill boosts- not really good for RPing- but the fact that Agility is his highest and Luck his lowest certainly fit the story….

Alteration 41
Light Armor 85
Long Blade 94
Restoration 46
Alchemy 74
Marksman 70

Marksman is actually a “Minor” skill- he just uses that Bound Longbow quite often. If I had it to do over again, he would have had Illusion as a Major instead of Alteration, but those “flaws” are what make for an interesting character. The numbers in light armor, long blade, and alchemy make sense to anyone who knows Trey; the Restoration is a result of diligent application of spells after getting hurt….

Equipment- full set of glass armor (minus the helmet), ebony longsword with Absorb Health 1-41 (cast when strikes).

He is a Breton with perhaps a trace of Skyrim- blonde hair, blue eyes, tall and muscular. He is actually probably better-looking than he realizes- his lack of social graces often hinders him in interaction with others. He has learned not to be quite so blunt-spoken- although he still lets his smart mouth get him into trouble.

By inclination, he loves science: alchemy, natural sciences, etc. Given a different background, he would likely have been a scholar or mage. However, his early upbringing, quick temper, and a tendency toward violence (as well as the scheming of Azura) carried him into a different path. His birth sign and hereditary influence from his unknown father have inclined him toward thievery. A certain feeling of social injustice feeds that tendency- he steals as a form of rebellion and for revenge. Despite his own view of himself, Trey is not really a “thief,” at least not in any real sense. He does not pick pockets, nor does he regularly steal for personal gain. That, as much as a phobia about responsibility, kept him from advancing very far in the Thieves Guild.

He has a number of quirks or characteristics- he will not wear helmets, will not ride the silt-striders (except in extreme need), will not kill for money. The killings he has done haunt him- he finds himself conflicted over the fact that he is good with a sword. He abhors slavery, seeing in it an echo of his own forced servitude. He believes in the sanctity of his given word- if he agrees to something, he will do it, no matter the consequences. That sense of honor, combined with his impulsiveness, can lead to trouble. He has few friends, mostly because he fears to lose them. He admires and loves (though he might not use that word) Athyn Sarethi, his sponsor and mentor in House Redoran; he has learned to respect and revere Caius Cosades. Serene of Cyrodiil is an ally of whom he is (mostly) unaware at this time. He does not trust or particularly like anyone in authority: the gods, the Empire, the Emperor himself. As a result he would never join the Imperial Legion or Imperial Cult; his advancement in the Tribunal Temple was cut short as he learned more about it.

There are probably other things that I am forgetting- those are the most significant characteristics I considered when developing Trey. He has grown beyond my initial vision of him- he sometimes reminds me that he has his own way of doing things….
Zelda_Zealot
Cool idea, here I was looking for the old happy birthday thread to see if anyone wished me a happy birthday (Still have to go check. EDIT: You do care! I feel so happy! *Note the enhanced enthusiasm* tongue.gif ) and I stumbled upon this little gem!

Well here we go.

Name: Larrius (Varro, but I don't use it ingame, too long)

Race: Imperial

Class: Swift Blade

General Level: 40ish

Ingame Stats:

Strength: 100/100

Intelligence: 90/100

Willpower: 90/100

Agility: 100/100

Speed: 100/100

Personality: ???/100

Endurance: ???/100

Luck: 50/100

*Note* The question marks are because I can't remember them.

Character Stats (How I see him):

Strength: 85, strong, but not pure muscle.

Intelligence: 75/100, smart, but not the smartest.

Willpower: 90/100, you would be amazed.

Agility: 90/100, thus "Swift Blade".

Speed: 85/100, same ^.

Personality: 65/100, likeable, but only if you get to know him.

Endurance: 75/100, very sturdy.

Luck: 50/100, he has his good days, and his bad.

Basic Appearance: Middle of the neck hair, brown with a hint of red. Slightly above average height, with a slim figure but still a good bit of muscle.

Clothing/Armor: Leather greaves, boots (with dagger tucked inside of course), and gauntlets with a loose shirt.

Major Skills

Blade
Block
Light Armor
Illusion
Armorer
Athletics
Acrobatics

My View of my Character. A basicly good person, who just wants to help people and is really hurt when he can't. He thrives of the happyness of others, and was forced into insanity when he became a vampire because he had to kill humans to survive. He became a good person and learned why he should have pity on people as a kid living on the streets of Cyrodill. But he does sometimes feel sorry for himself for his constant giving to others, and thinks "Pity the givers, for none give to them," in secret.

He would rather have silence over noise (Save a good conversation), and is almost never the life of any kind of party, prefering to stay off in a corner of gatherings of any kind with a friend or two, whom he has few of.
Although he has no problem killing a person so long as they strike first, he wishes there were another way.
He may seem cold hearted at first, but it is only because he has very little experience with the interaction of others, stemming from his childhood.

His prefered method of combat is with a nimble sword, capable of manevering arnound an enemies defencies. And he would rather avoid being struck, then being struck and not being hurt too greatly.

Like any good character, he has many quirks. Namely, his habit of ordering objects into patterns when nervous, or making sure there is enought light to see when sleeping in an new place (Although this could be precaution learned from his own attempted assassination). After all, you never know what is hiding in the darkness.

Much of this is based off of my own views and personality (Such as the quirks, though I have never had someone try to kill me), but that does not mean I can't create a new character. In fact I do that pretty much everytime I make a new character in Oblivion. No, really.
Mazelure
Alright... Cinic has not been fully developed since I just started his story but this will roughly describe him.

Name: Cinic (just Cinic)

Race: Nord/Wood Elf (confused often for an Imperial)

Class: Murderer, Custom

General Level: 33 (but he is immortal)

Strength: 90/100 (rage adds a 30 bonus)

Intelligence: 80/100

Willpower: 100/100

Agility: 65 (hardly above average)

Speed: 50 (average)

Personality: 70/100 (stands out of the crowd)

Endurance: 100/100

Luck: 100/100 (bad and good)

Basic Appearance: Average height, long black hair (always in a ponytail), light skin (sort of a pale brown entwined with white), and small sinister eyes (very cat like but with human pupils)

Clothing/Armor: Loose plain clothing with a hint of elegance. Pretty much baggy black pants, a tight fitting black undershirt with an expensive red button shirt/trench coat on top and some obsidian leather boots.

Major Skills:

Speechcraft 95 (due to his manipulating techniques)
Blade 100 (devoted himself to killing people)
Destruction 120 (poison and draining spells)
Alternation 80 (focuses on levitation only)
Unarmored 100 (slow but he is always 5 steps ahead!)

Minor Skills:

He basically sucks at everything else.

My View on the Character

Cinic is born from the darkness of the world (where do you think it all goes?) but above all that darkness hatred governs him entirely. He is a murderer who uses manipulation to get close to his victims so their death is on a very personal level that he so does enjoy. All though many think he has no shred of humanity left in him the reality is that he holds on to one hope and one hope only… but I cant reveal it yet unfortunately. What makes him so dangerous is that he is immortal and has perfected the art of the sword and destructive black magic in such short years… one can only dread about what he can accomplish in an eternity.

On minor note: Cinic has no friends and has no need for them but deeply lost in his hatred he has a vast loneliness that eats at him when isolated long enough.

DoomedOne
Iago Grindley

Race: Human (Quarter Redguard quarter norse half breton actually)

Class: Dark Knight (Customazizzled)

Level: I have a storyline of his life I pull from so it can be anywhere from 20 to 48, but usually I'd say 35.

Strength: 60

Intelligence: 80

Willpower: 85

Agility: 100

Speed: 80

Personality: 50

Endurance: 50

Luck: 50/100

Appearance: Wears a black coat with a black hat that has a broken brim, ripped in front. Gray eyes and scruffy brown hair. Dark skinned, tall, slender, bony nose, thin pale lips, his chin narrows into a round point. His eyes lay across his head squarely.

Equipment: It varies because he's like batman, typically I have him fighting terribly powerful sorcerers and wizards and his only weapons is his apt sword fighting and agility, amnd his mind. His sword, however, is quite charmed, and it's aim, sharpness, lightness, speed and balance are all based on the phase of the moon, the more full the more powerful his blade becomes. On a full moon he''s practically unstoppable. He later got other charmed items like an earpiece he could listen to animals with and some demon's horse-shoes that keep his horse's sure footed but I usually don't play with those.

A little history: He was born in a village on the edge of a rebellious Kingdom and a growing Empire. The village held alliance to the kingdom in secrecy and worked actively as spies along riding along the mountains. Anyway, some scout got followed and the village was chosen for total annihilation, the pregnant mother Grindley was stabbed in the chest before she could devlier birth, but Iago's heart kept beating.

Years later he ends up fighting for what piece of Earth the Kongdom has left and sets up their everlasting independence, but directly afterward went through a pretty complicated death and ressurection, and has ever since been lost, wandering strange lands, looking for his home.

Should I? Why not?
================

Always-He-Lingers-in-the-Sun, AKA Al, AKA Sun Lingerer, AKA Heik-Auri

Level: I would guess somewhere between 30 and 40. He's a strange character in that I started writing about him at least a few weeks before I started playing him--I ended up building the initial character up using the console. So he's a complete odd-ball, as far as the stats go.

So, as I meant to say, Al is an argonian of high level, an assassin. His birthsign is, oddly enough for an argonian assassin, the Lady.

Attributes:

Strength-69
Intelligence-82
Willpower-60
Agility-105
Speed-67
Endurance-67
Personality-90
Luck-55

Al is an extremely agile assassin--good at delivering and dodging blows. He's got some skill with magicka, particularly with illusion--that explains the high personality, even if he strikes a lot of folks as a disagreeable sort. He's persuasive when he wants to be. Luck is his lowest attribute, which seems to explain how he makes enemies so readily. Well, that and his temper.

Skills:

Major

Sneak-100
Marksman-87
Light Armor-71
Short blade-94
Acrobatics-130 (Absurdly high, I know. But it explains how he manages to climb up things--like the underside of a bridge in one of his earlier appearances.)

Minor

Security-77
Long blade-20
Alchemy-72
Block-24
Athletics-87

Misc

Illusion-86
Speechcraft-77
Hand-to-hand-67
Unarmored-62
Alteration-56
Destruction-44

He's pretty powerful, yes. If I were to enter him in another Clash of the Titans he would likely be a Master--he has gotten more powerful (in the course of my writing, in my imagination) as his character has become clearer. Why do you think the Blades even bothered to put up with him and his antics? All I can say is that the combination of a harsh upbringing--constant fight against enslavement--and a high degree of training, both with the Shadowscales and with the Blades (much of it paid for with loot taken off his marks' inert bodies) have made Always-He-Lingers-in-the-Sun very good at killing folks. His gear, of course, helps.

Equipment:

His primary arsenal consists of three weapons; the daedric dagger known as Kills-You-Dead, an ebony shortsword, and a dwemer crossbow loaded with viper-bolts. Kills-You-Dead is a legendary weapon, once the pride and joy of the Shadowscales. Was until Al took it, after he assassinated the head of the order. Kills-You-Dead absorbs 25 points of health per strike, and the charge is very high--effectively infinite. The ebony blade is unenchanted; he likes to wield this in his right hand during melee (longer reach) while using Kills-You-Dead in his left as a combination shield/finishing weapon. The crossbow is of standard dwemer make, used for sniping distant marks or threatening the Grandmaster of the Morag Tong.

In RP terms Al wears blackened chitin armor; in-game he wears regular chitin with the exception of glass greaves and boots (recently claimed off of corpses). In-game he also seems to have stumbled upon Denstagmer's Ring, a nifty bit of magical protection that well-complements his innate poison immunity and disease resistance.

Overview:

Al's not such a bad sort so long as you don't offend him (or, in the form of a writ of execution, the Empire). He's a very skilled assassin, but he's not especially thrilled with the work anymore. He has expressed the desire to lay on the beach somewhere and drink the days away. He's probably amassed enough gold to do so (some of his marks have been rather wealthy), but his rather abrupt departure from the Blades, in the form of a brief brawl in Arrille's Tradehouse, as well as his many other indiscretions has left him a long list of enemies. He has not stopped making them in Mournhold. If he wants to make it to retirement he's probably going to have to deal with those enemies, and if it's anything like his past it will probably be ugly.

But really, he's not so bad. Just don't call him 'lizard'.

I haven’t actually translated these into the game yet, but I do want to once I (some day into the far future) get oblivion. Either as NPCs, or in the case of Novis, PC

Name: Rajn Treesap
Race: Bosmer
Sign: Tower (rare version, with an unbound eye that makes the detection spells of the standard version look like utter crap.)

Class: thief/archer

Rel. Age: Not very old. I’ve always portrayed her as a bit of a child, so I’d say she’s in her late teens.

Level: Dunno, I’d say 10-15. But she isn’t levelled in the normal way so it doesn’t matter.
Stats: I’m gonna give words here because it isn’t translated into numbers.
Personality: Reasonably high. While she has a habit of getting on people’s nerves and being blunt and impolite to the extreme, she has the cuteness of a short Bosmer to compensate which makes people put up with her despite their better judgement.
Strength: Low. She’s short and not exactly muscular either.

Intelligence: Average. She knows how to read and is an expert when it comes down to Bosmeri stuff but she’s absolutely ignorant on other cultures.
Willpower: Pretty high. She regularly manages to put aside her own fear to help out those who she considers her friends. Afterwards she tends to slip right back into panic though.

Agility: High. She’s a good dancer, an expert climber and a master pickpocket.

Speed: above average. At long distances, she’s slower than most because her legs are too short. She does have a nasty draw that would make a wild west gunslinger bow in respect.

Endurance: Low. She wouldn’t last long in a fight if she got hit. On the other hand, she can hang from a ledge much longer than stronger people. It has something to do with a life spent climbing trees.

Luck: Debatable. On the one hand, having a big werewolf obsessed with killing you is the epitome of bad luck. On the other hand, surviving such an attempt twice is a sign of good luck.

Basic Appearance: Short, slightly tanned skin, black curly hair that reaches all the way down to her waist (No barber in Fallinesti was willing for some reason and after leaving, she never really bothered with it.). Her eyes are black (like Galbedir’s).

Attire: She wears a white clasp of bone in her hair that is actually lockpick-storage. Her clothes are all animal products, leather and light furs. High boots with soft and flexible soles. Good for keeping a grip while climbing yet high enough to keep any splashing mud from getting in.

Skills:
Marksman
Sneaking
Pickpocket
Lockpicking
Climbing and jumping
Persuading animals
Seeing

My View on the Character:
Rajn is just well, Rajn. She is a fanatic follower of Bosmeri beliefs, which means full-time carnivore and absolutely opposed to the use and destruction of anything plant-like. She doesn’t commit to cannibalism though, out of personal reasons. She somehow always manages to be the center of attention and I think she gets a kick out of it. While she appears to most as a selfish and utterly uncivilized little thief, she does have some good qualities including the old and important one. Loyalty. If her friend is about to get his head ripped off by a werewolf, she is willing to risk her life to save him, using her own methods.

That said, another defining characteristic is her fear of certain things. She’s extremely claustrophobic and while she has improved, up to the point where she actually insists on coming along just to prove that she can handle it, she’s still prone to panic attacks while underground or in cramped spaces. Recently, she’s also become a dogophobe. Expect her to at least cross the street when she sees someone letting his dog out.

Name: Ra’trith aka: the embodiment of darkness
Race: Khajiit (don’t know which kind. He has the Oblivion style feet, yet he doesn’t wear boots like the Morrowind version.)
Birthsign: Lord

Class: assassin

Rel. Age: early twenties. Old enough to be an expert, yet not so old that age has crippled his body.
Level: High, 20-30 range minimum.
Stats:
Personality: Low, he is not very likeable. He’s good at intimidation though.
Strength: Above average, yet not as high as a warrior. He relies more on speed to power his blows. As a werewolf, he is inhumanly strong, obviously.
Intelligence: I’d say low. He doesn’t seem to know too much beyond ten ways to rip off someone’s head. Also, I haven’t seen him learn anything yet.
Willpower: Extremely high, yet he doesn’t use it. He is the stubborn sort though, willing to follow someone all over Tamriel just to settle an old grudge.
Agility: Extreme. He’s fast and lethal. He can dodge just about anything with ease, while disarming someone and using the stolen weapon to accurately target a vital organ, all at the same time. The bulk of the extra muscle in his werewolf form seriously hinders his movements.

Speed: Once again, extreme. With the speed of his blows, he can crush the bones of an unarmoured or lightly armoured victim easily. He also uses this speed to kill multiple people before any of them have gotten time to realize what’s going on. In werewolf form, his speed in a straight line has been increased yet the speed of his strikes has lowered.

Endurance: High, mostly derived from his willpower.

Luck: I’d say low. I mean, being the most lethal and unstoppable assassin in Tamriel and still failing multiple times to do what should be a simple job is ridiculous. And most of the time luck was involved.

Basic Appearance: Pitchblack fur, yellow eyes that glow in the dark, silvery teeth and claws.

Attire: Black Dark Brotherhood armour, no boots, gloves or cloak.

Skills:
Clawed combat
Short blade (throwing mostly)
Jumping
Dodging
Climbing (but not as good as Rajn.)

My View on the Character:
Ra’trith was envisioned as the ultimate monster when I came up with him. He has nothing nice about him, nothing soft and fuzzy. Even his fur is rough enough to give you a papercut, or several thousand papercuts, depends on how big the surface is you touched.

He is driven almost solely by hate, grudges and a simple desire to spill blood and lick the blood off of his claws. I think his Vampiric teacher had something to do with his thirst for blood.

He’s also a werewolf, which makes him even more powerful at times. Ironically, the werewolf form has so far proven to be more of a disadvantage than an advantage. If he’d been in his natural form, he would’ve ripped Aran apart in less than five seconds. (four seconds needed for added gloating.) All that bulk slows him down too much.

Name: Novis …..(Can’t say the name! Spoiler!)
Race: Altmer
Sign: Wanderer (An ancient form of the Serpent. Allows those born under it to shift, also known as uberized teleportation.)
Class: Royal Battlemage in training.

Rel. Age: 17-20
Level: low, high potential though.
Stats:
Personality: average. He would be a tad more likeable if he didn’t go frick all the time.
Strength: Above average. Yet he never works out so this is a bit of a surprise. (his stable job was done with telekinesis, the lazy mer.)
Intelligence: High, but he doesn’t use it as much as he should.
Willpower: High.
Agility: High, still without reason.

Speed: Below average, yet with shifting he can outrun a Cliffracer easily.

Endurance: above average, no reason.

Luck: Low. He always manages to mess up despite having the skills required to do things perfectly.

Basic Appearance: Tall, golden skin, red eyes, grey hair. He is the spitting image of someone else. (spoiler point!)

Attire: Right now, a grey tunic. He will move to a black robe once he becomes a fully fledged Royal Battlemage. Just give him twenty years.

Skills:
Destruction
Shifting
Shaping (changing the shape and qualities of any material he touches)
Alteration
Using the word ‘frick’ or any of its similar forms.

My View on the Character:

Novis had originally been created for comic relief, only I soon found out that Rajn does a much better job at it. Anyway, Novis is the bumbling fool with great potential. He is also a walking collection of spoilers that tie in the story with my other stories. He is the spitting image of someone mentioned in an earlier story, his father is a character of an earlier story, he is the same kind of creature as a character in an earlier story etc.

I expect to see him grow the most. From totally clumsy idiot into semi-immortal spellcasting god of utter uberness. The Battlespire does not deliver low quality Battlemages.

First I must explain some complicating factors ...
  • I played Rashelle through all quests. She had done it all. I thusly retired the character in January of 2007 and rolled up Rashelle again, with the same starting stars/choices. So there are two Morrowind Rashelle characters: v1 and v2. I did this because, I enjoyed playing her immensely and wanted to do so again.
  • In game Rashelle differs from fanfic Rashelle. I had to tone her down for the fanfic. In the game, she's leader/head/master/archmaster of everything and can fight through any dungeon any place any time with any weapons. smile.gif This is not realistic for fanfic. Fanfic Rashelle did major quests in a different order: in-game Rashelle v2 has done Tribunal but not the Morrowind main quest. She has done the Raven Rock quests but has not done the Bloodmoon main quest.
  • I've still got gaps in her back-story.
Because of the above, I maybe should skip the numbers part of this reply? Hmm: I'll use the current Rashelle v2 stats.

Name: Rashelle

Race: Breton

Class: Spellsword

Birth Sign: Atronach (mine as well, if I were in MW: weee!!)

General Level: Hard to say, current game character is at 38 and Rashelle v1 was at level 70 or so.

Strength: 99

Intelligence: 94

Willpower: 92

Agility: 98

Speed: 112 ("Northern Winds" plug-in)

Personality: 88

Luck 40: (higher in the fanfics, obviously!)

Endurance: 100 - in-game Rashelle started off right away using *only* spear and mostly heavy/medium armor. She received a 5x bonus on endurance every time she leveled up.

Basic Appearance: "raven" black hair, straight, almost always in a pony tail: an unusual color for a Breton. Her eyes are also this color, which is very unusual. While not a magical power as such, her penetrating gaze tends to stop conversation and can cause "deer in the headlights" effect (how would you say that in MW slang?). She has light skin, like most Bretons, despite life outdoors. Her height is average for a Breton. And, of course ... she's cute!

Clothing/Armor: While it is understood to be a normal feminine trait to vary one's outfit, Rashelle instead wears the same thing day-to-day, varying slowly over time: adamantium boots, dark brotherhood greaves, ebony cuirass, Chrysamere in a back-sheath (it's too long for her to wear it at her side) and a back pack. In-game Rashelle right now has added adamantium bracers to the ensemble and I might add those in a post-Lokken story.

As for the 'downtime' attire, Rashelle has an odd paranoid habit: she knows it is strange but won't break it because it has saved her at least once already in a fanfic. The habit is: most of the time she sleeps in full armor, unsheathed sword clutched in her hands.

real age: I'm not sure. Possible in her mid to late 20s? The Nerevarine/corprus thing kinda make this irrelevant anyway?

Major Skills
  • block 100
  • restoration 81
  • long blade 100
  • destruction 94
  • alteration 73
Minor Skills
  • blunt weapon 93
  • enchant 56
  • alchemy 94
  • axe 100
My View of my Character:

I guess in D&D terms she would be neutral good: she's had Chaos moments in that she is annoyed at authority and by people telling her what to do and by organizations like the Imperial Legion, but her Redoran values nudge her to Law at other times. Rashelle will do what she thinks is Right, regardless of consequence and regardless of who is offended/annoyed. She keeps her word: she does not commit to things lightly. When not being misled by mad goddesses, she tends to do the Right Thing.

Rashelle tends to speak what is on her mind, without thinking. I share this habit with her, but it works much better for her than for me. sad.gif

She is the best friend you could ever have. She will do anything for a friend. Rashelle is loyal. If you hurt her friends, she will hunt you and she will find you, no matter how far you run.

She is the worst enemy you could ever have. The key word here is RELENTLESS.

For Rashelle, Love is as deep & intense as her other emotions. This will eventually be covered in a future story.

She grew up in a warm climate where snow was unknown (I have not decided where this will be, I need to brush up on Lore to decide on the right area). Despite this, she has a strong affinity to cold.

She is an orphan. No one has any idea where she came from or who her parents were. She has the appearance of a Breton so, according to Lore, her mother had to have been a Breton. Her cold affinity makes it likely that her father was a Nord.

Game Lore indicates that she came to Vvardenfell on an Imperial prison ship. I still have to to come up with a reason for her being in prison. Was it for a crime, was she framed? Or is she a political prisoner?

In the game, skill with bows and skill at throwing darts/spears is one skill. In the fanfics, I've split them up into two skills. It seems more realistic and works better for me. smile.gif Fanfic Rashelle is terrible with bows, terrible! However, anything she throws, will tend to hit its target. smile.gif

She hates swimming.

Err, I guess that's all I can think of. Most of the above can be ascertained from bits here & there in the stories.

Here's an update on Al's stats, because playing through Tribunal has pretty much forced him to become much tougher. Al is really fun to play through Tribunal with, in part because it demanded a lot from him, but also because he went through in style. Stealth is great--maintains suspense.

Level: 41 (as played on PC, stats may actually translate higher)

Attributes
-------------
Strength: 96 (Big jump, obviously. Tribunal has been making him work very, very hard. And he's done some training)
Intelligence: 96 (Very much a planner. Paranoid about being prepared)
Willpower: 72
Agility: 105 (He's all about stealth)
Speed: 84 (Sometimes he runs away from his foes, gets away, then sneaks up on them again to finish them with the ol' crossbow)
Endurance: 84 (He's gotten a lot tougher)
Personality: 92 (Illusion skill, sometimes used. Good at bartering. Unfortunately, his clever words also often serve to offend folk)
Luck: 59 (Yeah, he'll offend some folk. But then, he also has an uncanny knack for not getting caught by surprise. Ever)

Major Skills
--------------
Sneak: 100
Marksman: 100 (Lots of use for viper-bolts and darts in Mournhold)
Light Armor: 79
Short blade: 100 (Yeah, he almost never misses)
Acrobatics: 130 (An almost supernatural gift of his)

Minor Skills
---------------
Security: 78
Long blade: 69 (He did some training with a long blade to try to get stronger, but never uses one in combat)
Alchemy: 76 (Restoratives, mostly. Even the best get hurt from time to time. Especially if you're fighting say, Almalexia)
Block: 55 (Dodges more than blocks)
Athletics: 88 (Keeps in shape)

Miscellaneous
--------------
Illusion: 86
Speechcraft: 77 (Used more for insults than admiration, but what can I say? He's still good at it)
Unarmored: 76
Hand-to-Hand: 67
