Aldmeris will be a whole new continent on the planet of Nirn. Very little is known about this new continent so it allows the modding team to be extra creative with what they do. Nothing much is written about the races or the land. All that is known is one of the races are named the Aldmer, which will be a sort of elven race.

I remember about Aldmeri that it is supposed to be located somewhere South of the Summerset Isles and is reputedly mostly urban. It is the home place of the original elves to first populate Tamriel, the Aldmers who were the ancestors of the Altmers and enslaved alot of the other races they encountered.

They originally moved from Summerset to Cyrodiil and remained in power there and in other places on the continent until the Nedes came from the continent of Atmora far to the North of Tamriel and after attacking - settled in what is now Skyrim. The Nede's descendants became the Nords. The Bretons were the result of inbreeding between the Aldmeri's slaves and Nords and were called MenMer by the Nords and Imperials, both of pure Nedic descent. That is how the Bretons got magicka similar to the Altmers.

I'm not sure but it seems that the Aldmeri could be considered the parent race to all the elves of Tamriel. The Aldmeri of Summerset Isles protected the Bosmers of Valenwood for a long time since the Bosmers let them make roads through their forests that they themselves did not use. Aldmeri descendants probably also became the Chimer of Morrowind who were golden skinned but shorter in stature. There were also Falmers, Snow Elves, who became extinct in Skyrim before the Nords got there apparently.

I think this is a great idea for a mod, good luck. I cannot join because I'm already working on 3 consecutive mods of my own, but I find this topic hugely interesting.

im no good at modding, but if two lore things dont match up, im sure i could find away to explain them

Yeh, Aldmeris is almost like the tale of lost Atlantis ... they know it existed, they know the elves came from there ... but no one knows where it is now or if it even still exists. In Tamriel, I mean. So it could have a lot of different lore and conjecture about it.

I've been watching that linked website. I made a comment there but have not received any answer and don't perceive the boards having much activity. Unless they've moved their active boards to somewhere else, I don't think there's much going on on this project. Shame if that's so.
