Full Version: Enemy Cities

Hi there!

I have came up with a little idea of adding in not a few goblins here and there, but packing yourself up and bringing the elite from different guilds invade an enemy city!!! Waw i think it would be the most intense and fun Oblivion play possible. With the mages and fighters for cover climb the walls and ransack the place. You could act as General ( i have such a mod ) and command your army to victory biggrin.gif

Initially poor levies get slaughtered by your people on the walls then you can pillage their shops and houses killing everything. Then on to the Keep where the Elite and their bodyguards fight to the bitter end to defend their king, Needless to say they die and you win.

As for NPC's to use, using Oblivion NPC's to make an attack and die then respawn wont work. Instead a large group of Morrowinds finest travel over from Morrowind to aid you. A chance to fight alongside your old guild buddies.

After the town is taken you could make yourself the towns new leader and with the houses available your guild buddies can take up home there. Maybe encouraging other people from other towns to come and work for you. We dont want to be the best and live like a common, we want to be the big guns:D

As for this to work i would like some modders to take this up, even just the ransack of the town. However i have made a mod for Never Winter Nights similar to this in terms of the battle but i have no TES experience.

I would appreciate direct feedback by email please @ vicious111@hotmail.com

i think i understnad what you're really getting at, and it's something i've wanted in Morrowind and now Oblivion for a long time: siege warfare.

the concept of putting a town under siege is the ultimate battle to me. the sheer number of soldiers, the scaling of the walls, it's almost poetry. only poetry is for sissies and sounds funny. and siege warfare is for not-sissies and sounds awesome.

When I heard about the Battle for Bruma twords the end of the main quest, as i gathered forces to come to thier aid, i began having images of a great seige on Bruma that would have to be repelled in some incredibly daring feat. instead i got 10 guards, jeoffry, Martin, and some black guy on a field getting pwnt by some deadra with a frost staff. if i could convince some foriegn nation to invade, i would.

I would seriously not recommed AOE III to anyone. And we are talking Oblivion, new gen RPG not grosely old fashioned RTS.

yeah, i've been thinking of the same sort of thing. putting together a small army of sorts and if you could do some sort of battle plan, that'd be cool, but i don't know how.

maybe create/adjust some spells or items to create new ways to attack a castle/keep

like maybe a grappling hook so you have to climb the wall and go in and lower the gate all sneaky style.

or a spell that knocks down doors of any size...just blows them right off the hinges

or create a wagon item that you could load full of troops and then use a powerful telekinises spell to lift your troops up to the ramparts.

or maybe a spell that works sort of like the mark and recall from morrowind, only it's a portal...like you mark a spot outside the keep, sneak in somehow (levitate, grappling hook, stand on something and telekinises it, w/e) then once inside you open a portal to and from the place you marked and your troops swarm in

that'd be sweet.

or ladders that you set up outside to climb up..less creative, but effective. then you'd pull out your bow and keep the enemy off the top of the ladder until your troops are to the top.
