I think it's Fighters guild or blades.
I like Arena too. But thieves guild or Dark brotherhood is boring.
Mages guild is not bad, but not my favorite.
Can u tell me some interesting quests too?

Dark Brotherhood, boring? You're crazy!
The DB quest line is by far the best written of all. It's the only one that's emotionally engaging (not in a Final Fantasy way, but still), has really interesting quests that aren't just quests where you have to go and kill victim A in location X, but they're rather more creative most of the times. I was really sad when I was through with it. But I guess I can play it again and again, because this guild is the only one that makes me put the words "I love my job!" into the mouth of my character!

Then Fighters Guild

Have always loved the Fighters Guild.

I voted Mages guild, since I like non-violent quests the most. I like the Dark Brotherhood quests as well, but I have only done about half of them since I'm trying to keep my infamy low...

You can join the blades!?!
Fargoth
May 23 2006, 07:43 AM
Yeah, if you are going main quest you can join the blades
H3lliN
May 23 2006, 09:04 AM
Do the blades give you something to do or is it more like an honorary title of beeing a member? Haven't read anything about blade quest or so before...
Olav
May 23 2006, 09:18 AM
I think it's meant that the main quests are actually Blades quests, just like in Morrowind, kind of...
I wonder, when you are being asked if you would like to join the Blades in the beginning of the game, and you answer no, will you not be able to do the main quest?
H3lliN
May 23 2006, 09:20 AM
When were you asked then? I haven't been asked before...i am not playing as much as i d like but i am sure not at the beginning!

Can't quite remember. At least it is before you escort Martin to the Blades HQ.

DB is my favorite.
I didn't get any Blades side quests. Their quests are the emporer main quests.
They'll still give you the main quest no matter what you answer, but you aren't obligated to do it!
I played the second time through almost all the quests without touching the main.... still haven't done any main quests with that character...

Well ok, just thought there were some blade mission separeted but..no

lol.
In addition to DB, some of the random side quests were pretty good. Others have mentioned several.
I was surprised by one that I avoided earlier - the ogre's quest in Leyawin. It's not complicated, but I kinda liked it and the reward was nice - good for a low-level character.
I liked them generally in this order:
DB
Daedric
Mages Guild
Umbacano
Thieves Guild
MQ
Arena
*side quests mixed in here and there
Fighters - actually hated them.

My favourite has to be the Dark Brotherhood. You get a great feeling of accomplishment when you fulfil the assassination contract in the way specified for the bonus... or at least I do... does that suggest I'm some kind of psychopath?
The Mages Guild ones aren't too bad. Or at least, they aren't once you're in the Arcane University. I'm also rather fond of the Thieves Guild quests.
I haven't completed Fighters Guild or Arena yet because I've gotten bored of them. I'll probably go back to them after a few side quests.

The Dark Brother Hood is by far my most favorite faction. The reason being is the story of the brotherhood makes a large twist and then BAM alot of stuff happens quickly. Also, the items such as the Dark cloak that you recieve towards the end has very nice bonuses.

Wow, seems that everybody's favorite is DB

Well, mine too. Creative quests and amusing story.
And I simply love the sentences when entering the sanctuary !

EDIT:
BTW, Lucien Lachance's voice-over was done perfectly. Not as good as Mankar Camoran's but... Still very good

Here, I'll state my ratings:
Perks: Mages Guild, love the perks
Quests: Dark Brotherhood, SO MUCH FUN
Style: Order of the Virtuous Blood... vigilante vampire hunting organization? Can't beat that, and the members are all cool people.

Aye, I had to vote for "the Darkies" too

The quests are so exciting, and the atmosphere is great.
Lucien is just awesome! He reminds me of that Mr. Morden guy from Babylon 5.

dark brotherhood HANDS DOWN! man thier missions kick boat like the one where they lock you in a house of innocent people who are unarmed... hehehe.... OWNAGE! i did that mission about 10 times, and thats the only mission i have ever repeated on the same character.. there are a bunch of other good ones and when you complete it it is easiest to get money, no doing anything just a fast travel from bravil to cheydinhall... 200 gold. (2000 for arena with the best ever, but that takes actual work)

My sentiments exactly!
It's already been said how awesome DB quests are, and how great their bonuses are...so let me skip that and say that it was the faction that I got the most emotionally involved in. There were parts when I just felt SO BAD about what was going on, and others where you feel on top of the Tamrielian Empire!

The DB quests were the best guild quiest, IMO.
Except the end. I do
not like being forced to be an total moron when I have all the information to prevent stuff from happening at my fingertips!
The misc. and Daedric shrine quests are also rather awesome.
And, next to the DB, my favorite were the Fighter's Guild quests. I don't know why. They just are. Maybe because they felt soldier-esque and I've always liked the Fighter's Guild.
Modryn reminded me of how much the "Ridgeback" hairstyle in OB sucks, however. Balding hairstyle + Mohawk = UGLY.

I loved the Dark Brotherhood missions. It was almost like playing a different game between the Mages and the Brotherhood, and the Brotherhood was by far the most creative mission-wise.

I would also say that the DB had the most enjoyable quests out of the guilds I have tried so far, though I thought the last Thieves' Guild Quest was quite interesting.
I don't know how it exactly happened, but I couldn't complete all the Fighter's Guild quests, right after Modryn gets fired, he tells you to get missions from the two usual Stewards, I did the two immediate missions from the Orc but then Azzan didn't have any missions for me, after that I couldn't raise rank or get any missions from anyone, depressing

So true
DB is the only guild that made you really feel like a member, part of the family, a brother or sister as they say.
And this lead to the DB beeing the only guild i feel got you emotionally involved in when certain events took place, was bit upset when i finshed the guild missions. In my opinon the only guild that really left me wanting more was the Dark Brotherhood.
Second favourite would have to be the Theives guild, i also thought the mages guild and fighters guild had been improved, didnt really enjoy the mages guild in MW but did in Oblivion and also liked the fighters guild
