I've started using a Command Creature spell recently, and it's great fun and very useful in areas with lots of enemies. They'll all slaughter each other until there is only one left. Watching two Storm Atronachs go at it with each other is interesting, since their shock bursts have no effect on the other... biggrin.gif

I made a Command Creature up to level 25 for 10 seconds, but I think the time could be less. It seems that as soon as you cast the spell on some creature, it will fight others in the area until it's dead, no matter how long the battle takes.

Just created a similar Command Humanoid spell, but haven't tried it yet.

Anyone else use Command spells much?

I used to love them on Morrowind, despite being very difficult to cast. I can say I have yet to have any fun with them so far, but Ill give it a try since I play a mage. I think the reason why the time is irrelevant though is because once the spell wears off the only thing they see is that they have just been attacked by the creature/person in front of them. So once it wears off they are hostile to one another anyway.

Yes I think you're correct. So making it last 5 seconds should be sufficient and save you a lot of magicka and maybe even require less illusion skill. Any less time, and the spell might wear off before the creature gets a chance to attack someone.

An area full of Storm Atronachs, Spider Daedra, Daedroth, Xivilai and Dremora gets very lively with this spell, I promise you... smile.gif Command Creature does not work on Dremora and Xivilais (but Command Humanoid probably does), but they'll still attack any creatures that you cast the spell on.

Interesting to observe the Spider Daedra, btw. Seems they have quite a good AI. They'll sometimes run as far away as possible from enemies - even hide behind things and go around corners in corridors - and just keep summoning those spiderlings who will run and attack.

I never tried the Command spells in Morrowind, so this was quite a cool discovery for me... smile.gif
