I can only assume you are not using a silver or enchanted weapon. Try those. Or spells.

Just curious... Why is silver better? Will a silver blade kill something a Daedra blade will not?

No, Silver is an absolute minimum if you want to kill ghosts and willies (who are also ghosts of sorts). Silver counst as an enchanted weapon, that's all.

Ah thanks. I remember reading about silver earlier, and have always carried a silver dagger with me at all times. I thought perhaps they were needed to kill certain vampires or something... (or is it werewolfs that always need to be killed with silver in the books? Vampires needs wooden stakes through their heart?)

Anyway I can finally get rid of that dagger now. Cheers.
