Spent some time right at the beginning of the game going on side quests. Now I'm just getting back to bringing the amulet to Jauffre to begin the main quest. Only problem is he won't talk about the quest at all. I noticed at the very beginning when the tutorial first told me to go to Weynon priory and that a red arrow would point me in the right direction on my compass - the arrow never appeared at that time and the quest did not appear in my journal. I have completed side quests which do show me the arrow and appear in my journal, so the game appears to be working correctly. Hate to start over ... wondering if there is a way to fix it or if I am missing something.

Do you still have the amulet of kings?

Yes I do. I read something about Baurus asking for Renault's sword back at the time he gives you the quest. This never occurred. I went back with the sword and nothing happened. Any ideas?

Sounds like something isn't working right. Barus does take Renoults sword after he talks to you at the end of the starting sequence, just as he sends you to Weynon Priory.

Honestly, this sounds like you've got something not going right, and I don't have a solution. Sorry.

started a new game ... same thing happens. Installed patch to ver. 1.1 and things are working correctly. Must have been an issue with the install or the version.
