Full Version: Finding Daedric Shrines

Neo Bandit
I have decided that I am not going to finish the MQ until I get all the daedric artifacts so I can decide which one to give to Martin. You know, give him the most useless one then display the rest in my Skingrad house. Unfortunately I'm having a hard time finding the shrines. I found about 5 but there seems to be quite a few more. I don't want a spoiler (no giving away the locations please) but if any of you have any advice on techniques for finding them I'd like that.

All I do is get on a horse and run all over the country until I find one. I found 1 that way, the rest were told to me by random people. Is there an NPC who knows many of the locations? A book maybe? My method is ok, but all those damn Oblivion gates...

Thanks a lot!
Rane
There's really no special trick to find the Shrines. At least not to my knowledge. I haven't encountered a single NPC who'd know the location of more than one shrine.

So my best advice to you is to just continue exploring the world. Sometimes, going to the most remote and "hidden" places works.

That particular map has been taken offline.

Copied and pasted directly from the site (without permission - sorry)

"The Avid Alchemist’s Obliv-o-Map
The Obliv-O-Map has been taken offline thanks to what ever idiot got my google adsense account banned due to their repeat hits. Not only did they shut down my account, but also recouped the payment that was going to be paid to me in a few days. So... thats a few hundred dollars down the toilet... and frankly I'm"...

Maybe there's another map out there that people can use. Personally, I don't blame this person for their anger. They probably did a lot fo work, and having it misused is just plain wrong. mad.gif

I have a map too - on my hard drive and could pm it if requested, but the author of this thread said no spoilers.

Another good way to get them marked on your map in-game is to ask random NPCs about rumors. That'll usually get a bunch marked on your map for you.
Cadaver
Seriously, steal a black horse, get a good heal other spell, and just ride... spend about 2-3 hours, and you should have almost all of them... also breaks most other quests you will ever get because you can just fast travel everywhere....

Cadaver....

I'm also going for the 'ask-around-town approach. I have 3-4 shrines on my map that I haven't been to yet, but have been marked after talking to people.

You can also get tips about who to ask when you listen to conversations or ask about rumours, like 'I hear [person] is well traveled', or something like that.

When you talk to a person who knows, you will have a 'Daedric shrines' topic available. Hope that wasn't a spoiler...
