I have gone through most of the game and have never seen a need for Telekinesis. I'd like to use it to open a door when you can see the lever on the other side of the door, but it wont work through the door. (if I am in error please let me know how that works)
In Morrowind it was good for stealing stuf from a distance. Have not found a need in Oblivion to use that skill.
do you use Telekinesis?
thanks

I've used it to grab some welkynd stones that were too high to reach so it's kinda useful. On the other hand... about 10 minutes later I found a door that lead to the place where the stones were at. So maybe it is useless.

I tried to kill a guard by dropping a Daedric Warhammer on him. For the moment, that's pretty much all I've seriously tried to do with it. I moved some stuff around in my house as well, trying to place a skull on the chandelier. I can tell you, the collision detection stinks.

I use a bow and arrow to knock em down, or a fireball. I find so many potions that I dont carry the welkynd stones, at a kilo each they add up fast.

Yeah, never been able to use it...
If you can't use it to use a switch (and you can't)... it's pretty much useless

Yeah, and creatures don't react when compassion gets thrown at them. That makes it far weaker then the gravity gun, even though bethesda claimed it was like that.

It's good for skulking/sneaking in a dark corner and picking pockets or stealing stuff that's out in the light.. kinda fun too.

I use it occationally. Like Neo Bandit mentions I use it for Welkynd Stones. And it has been very handy on some of the quests, mainly for the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood - without giving out any spoilers I hope...

It's about as useful as having a ten foot hand. Sure, it sounds fun, but you try scratching your backside with it.
I have so far found absolutely no use for it whatsoever, apart from amusing myself by waving armour in front of people. Nobody so far has been impressed.
