have any 1 else had problems with sigil stones? or do they have a limited use?
cause after i died and reloaded my game all my items that were enchanted with sigil stones had dissapeared. dont know if this is a common problem,but if any1 knows an solution to this problem i would like to hear it. thx in advance!

sounds like a bug or partially corrupted save to me. I have never had a sigil-enchanted item lose its properties.

I've never had a problem with them. They are enchanted just like normally-enchanted ones, though. They run out of charge but can be charged up in the normal ways. They've never disappeared on me. Did you forget to repair them and they broke?

I had/have the same problem - not because i forgot to repair them or droped them, but something has corruptet my charactor/savegame.
If i load before these 3 quests events there is no problem and sigil stoneitems do not disapeer:
Vahtacen's secret - completed
Lone wandrerer - completed
Enter the eliminator - Acepted the quest

After this any new sigilstone enhanced item will disapeer after closing and opening and loading the game.

To fix this i tryed with out success reinstalling the game [oblivion + shiviring isles], format c:and reinstall windows + oblivion, but this did not fix the problem

If anyone can help please let me know

Tomorrow i will look further into this and see which one of thise missions makes this anoing bug appear.

I looked further into it and the bug appears in the mage guild quest line-
Vahtacens secret - in area that is reviled after you cracked the pillor "fire,frost,destroy mana, fortify mana quest" it goes buggy somewhere between the first room and the fall-trap and even more buggy after the fall-trap...
To avoyided this error dont do this quest
to fix it download my 3 saves from www.theklogg.com/saves.zip analyse what happens and make an unofficial patch - i can't do this - it is beond my skill

so dear myamota, load the game before you did this and continue without doing more mage quests, I dont know why this bug appears -played oblivion a lot and this is the first time i see it. But its also the first time I play the expanson [shivering isle]...

this is sick it did it agai9n and this time a entierely different place, i give up!

hmmm thats wierd had your last saved game been before you enchanted the items with the sigril stones?
