Went to by Rosethorn Hall, was pointed in a direction, arrives at the green arrow.

Nobody there...

Goes to by a house in Anvil, arrives at the green arrow.

Nobody there, just voices of the NPC's going "Hello there.." and the usual "Have you heard...".

Strange........ wacko.gif

No seriously, all Quest people are invisible... huh.gif

I did the Fighters guild quest where this dude has problems with burglars in Anvil. I then went on to a ship and retrieved a crystal ball. After that all the important people I'm supposed to meet are not there...

And my savegames are acting up. Screwed up order in the list, continuing from t he last save is not an option anymore, I have to find it myself and load it.

This sucks...

Maybe some mod you're using is messing it up?

Nope, Xbox 360.

I reloaded and stuck to the FG quest and skipped the house bying and crystal ball finding. Now it works again.

Still got screwed up savegames though, but I'll attribute that to the "press A when loading"-scam. kvleft.gif

Yep, sounds like a save games problem.

Have you set your clock correctly? usually when my save games become a mess its becuase I have unplugged my xbox and forget to set the time properly. Obviously this will make your xbox think all your save games after messing up the clock dont belong in order with your older saves.

As for the invisible quest npcs I cant think of any reason why that would happen. So I cant help you there, sorry.

Edit: That press A when loading isnt a scam. I had to do it more than once but it returned my game back to its original speed, rather than waiting 1 minute + each time it hits a loading screen.

I have no idea why my game (with hard drive*) suddenly became so slow and on occasion freezing for around 15 seconds in game, maybe it was my progress in the MQ? But that press A "scam" certainly solved it. So thanks to those who reccomended it.

I have unplugged my 360 every night since I got it, and I checked the the date. It has the accurate date, but the saves get 5/11-2005 or something.

Anyway I'm not gonna bother with it anymore. I'll try the A thing once more, check the date settings and leave it be. But thanks for your effort.

Hmm... I've never unplugged it once.
My load times vary, so I haven't needed the use of the A button while loading.
I still have no idea how to fix it if you went to an older save and that didn't work. I guess try some other quests to see if you can find quest people and then go back to that one later.
Shoot. Good luck.
Olav
Just curious: How many save slots are available for the 360? (Just cleaned up my save games folder since I was approaching 2000 saves... blink.gif )

No,no. I reloaded an old save and found the people.
Now it's just the saves that are strange. That does not affect the gameplay luckily. That's why don't want to bother with anymore.

Don't know. My got disordered with the 225'th save. But then thats the same time as I tried the "A" thing so I can't say fore sure if 225 is some kind of limit.
Olav
Well that's much more than I expected from a console. My savegames take up about 3 MB now. How much memory in the 360? Or is there a hard disk in it? (haven't tried a console since I tested Super Mario on my nephew's old Playstation about 2000 years ago...)

2000 Save Games? blink.gif
Whoah,i have only 5......including autosave wacko.gif
I mean,you don't need more than QuickSave........
Olav
I know, but I'm one of those compulsive savers thinking "what if I did something wrong back then and have to reload?

So all those saves I cleaned up I didn't delete; I just moved them into a backup folder... blink.gif

Funny thing is, whenever I realise I should have reloaded and done things over, I don't bother... wacko.gif

Between my wife and I in Oblivion we've had close to 600 saves, but we only keep about 10 saves AT A TIME - we save over the 3rd or 4th oldest one for any given character. Haven't had any fishy problems that seem to be corrupted saves yet.
Foster
Wow, that makes me feel really lazy. I have...5 saves. One at the opening dungeon, one from my last character, and 3 ones that I rotate with the new one.
Olav
Well also the reason I keep making new saves is that I can't be bothered to click the 'are you sure you want to overwrite this savegame?-box... tongue.gif

Anyway sorry for yet another off-topic post. Hope you sort out the problem with the invisible characters.
