Full Version: Leveling up not necessary

Sorry if this is very common knowledge, but I just discovered it.

The manual says that we can 'save' leveling up to when we feel like it, and still get all the correct attribute bonuses.

So if you don't feel like leveling up yet you can just keep on gaining major skill points, and then when you finally decide to rest you'll get all the levels you should, and the proper attribute bonus screen for each level.

Has anyone here tried this? Not sure if there is any point doing this on purpose, but at least it's good to know you don't 'loose' any skill points if you are unable to rest, like when on a quest or something.

Yeah this was in morrowind as well, I try not to do it though because i'm not sure if it saves the skill modifiers for each level, or if it just adds them on to your current level up kvleft.gif

Well the manual 'promises' we won't loose any attribute modifiers:

QUOTE
Note: You can raise several skill levels at one time if you have not slept in a while and have enough skill increases for extra levels. You are never penalized for this and will receive all the correct attribute modifiers for each level gained.

s far as i know, it saves up the modifiers for every level up, no matter when you do.

I did the mages guild, thiefs and main quests without a single level up. Once finished, i went to bed to gain 6 levels at once, alsways with some bonuses.

Yeah it does keep the correct multipliers on the correct levels, so don't worry.

I am lvl 22 right now, I could possible be around lvl 35 or so if I slept, but I don't unless I have topped out my training for that lvl. Not lvling helps greatly, at first I thought the game was very hard, then I just didn't lvl and it got much easier, now i keep sliding the difficulty bar up and only lvl when nessasary
