For those who have already experienced vamperism in Oblivion:

Can you tell me what the differences are for Oblivion vamperism than Morrowind vamperism? I heard there was a few big changes, and I do plan on becoming a vampire at some point, so I'm just curious
Konji
The one main one?

It sucks!

DoomedOne
Yeah. I can to an extent. I've never made a vampire in morrowind so I can't point at the differences other than you're not forced to be a total social lepper.

Too be honest I wdon't want to go into it more than that as this isn't a spoiler section, and there already is a very detailed thread about this in the spoiler section.

If you're not sure what you want, do what my friend did, right before getting it he saved and made a separate save for each decision. Eventually he stopped playing the non-vampire one.

Here is a rather typical allusion to vampirism in a note from the book section.

I think the main difference that EVERYONE is justly complaining about, is that in Morrowind the vampires looked somewhat decent, but in Oblivion - no matter how attractive you make your vampire character, when they turn vampire ingame - - they get more drawn and gaunt and paler at first, then if they don't feed enough they age very fast to sheer ugliness and eventually a default face takes the place of the one you took time to create.
If your vampire takes the cure and goes back to normal, you never get the same original face back again, just a close facsimile ... like same hair color, maybe same eyes but different facial features. It sucks! wacko.gif

Oh, but that sounds like it's much more realistic then. If you don't feed, people start to dislike you more, and because they can see it in your face that you are undead.

I should add that I haven't played as a vampire yet, but it seems like a very cool thing to do in Oblivion.
