Ok, so just a small one today, as this is all I managed to write at this time...
The Tale of Telina Delvanni. Chapter 4. Mournhold, city of light city of magic.
I was surprised by how much longer the teleportation was, compared to the other one’s I had made…I guess travelling over longer distances took longer time. When I had managed to get a look at the room I stood in, I was dumbfounded…sure I had heard of the beauty of Mournhold Almalexia, the city of Lady Ayem…but nothing could prepare me for the sight.
The floor was made up of huge brass and black coloured tiles. The recesses filled with silver, and the walls was of some dark green stone. Gold metal bandings spread along the wall in mid height, and they was crested with rubies and emeralds…Never have I seen such a beautiful room as the throne room though…large round, blood red coloured pillars stretched themselves up to the roof, which had a painting of the battle at Red Mountain…the King was not here, but a Man that seemed to be slightly more significant than the other guards there…I figured that out with all the gold and silver bandings that decorated his armour.
Have I mentioned how much I hate the Royal Guard armour…it have an unsettling colour of…dried blood, the helmets are so tight that you cant see the face of the guard either, and I always get a shock when I suddenly stand nose to nose with one…but enough of that. The imperial seemed reluctant to speak tome, although I could see his eye flickering around the room…as if he was looking for escape routes…hmm, strange. I opened my mouth, but he cut me off…”Excuse me, I have much to do…get out of the throne room”.
Fine, he did not want to talk to me…well, no need for irritating him, as the enchanted Daedric Dai-Katana at his back, was clearly vibrating by all the power contained. As I was in the courtyard, I suddenly realised there was two doors, and with me hating to guess at things like this, I asked the old Imperial sitting on the flowerbed, where to go.
Plitinius Maro, was his name…and I suddenly realised that I stood and talked to the famous writer of the Real Barenzia novels…I may have mentioned before my love for books…it is a hobby of mine that have helped me much with decreasing the number of money in my bank account…but to actually talk to the writer of a book series that I loved was thrilling. We had talked a long time, before I mentioned the subject of the brotherhood being after me…since he could not do anything else than to tell me that they was supposedly in the Great Bazaar sewers, I should contact the temple, as maybe they could help me out. I had just started to walk towards the entrance to the temple courtyard, when a Cyrodiilic voice came tome.
-“Excuse me ma’am, but do I understand you correctly that you’re going down to the sewers”?…”As a matter of fact you did, how’s that”, I asked back, trying to keep the bitterness in my voice to the minimum.
-“Well, I wondered if you would like a companion, I am a good fighter, can carry heavy loads, and I know the sewers well enough, for your needs”. “Now before you answer, there are some rules, I don’t work for free, so I’ll need 250 septims a month…you’re free to give me new equipment anytime you want, and also take equipment…as long I have my gold, and at least 500 septims worth of equipment…so what do you say…we got a deal”.
Ok…he wanted to be my personal bodyguard for an entire month…for only 250 septims…best deal I’ve ever made…I shook his hand, and gave him the gold…after that I gave him some 2000septims, to get equipped and ready for action…Then we parted, and I entered the temple courtyard.

Hmm, Mournhold, the city of dreams and nightmares. Yeah, I just made up that bit cause I never visited the place myself. Anyway, a good update. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to see if I can get a bet running about how long that mercenary will survive. (My guess is, not long.

Nice update but some parts were kinda vague like the part with the captain of the Royal Guard. You should make transitions from one room to the other more clear because you don't get telleported directly into the throne room. I liked your description of the Royal Guard armour though and I also liked how you described the throne room. I've never looked at it like that before. And try to use "were" when you're talking about multiple subjects (like we were heading into the sewers) and "was" when talking about single subjects (I was being surrounded by goblins) because it helps the reader and doesn't make you look like rapper that doesn't use english properly.

Finally, I found the time to update again....as I have been too busy to write another update...but I hope again that I can update soon.
I must say that although the royal palace impressed me greatly, it was nothing compared to the temple in Mournhold. It’s tall spires, reached high in the air, and the entire building was made out from white marble…the cobbles on the ground, was also marble…and I believe that it rivals the beauty of even the white tower of the emperor himself.
I noticed that the temple was guarded with Ordinators here as well…but they had a different kind of armour…It was made of a slightly pink coloured silver, or possibly ebony…reinforced with gold bandings. But what fascinated me the most, was the heavy scimitars hanging at their waists, definitely made out of refined ebony and silver. As I walked past one of them, towards the entrance, he talked to me.
-“Mournhold, city of light, city of magic”
-“Could you help me with a simple matter, brother”, I asked him friendly.
-“Why of course, Ser Inquisitor Delvanni, what is it that need my assistance”?
-”You see, I have been attacked by the dark brotherhood…and need to find out where they are…as I want to finish them…for good”.
The information I got from him was quite useful, but he recommended that got there from the temple sewers…as they was filled with less vile creatures and bandits…thanking him I walked into the temple, with my newly hired mercenary, who by the record was named Calvus Horatius, right behind me.
The interior of the temple, was as stunning as the outside…and as I expected, it was filled up with High Ordinators, as they were called…all whom saluted me where I walked past them. I had decided o tell my plans to the Lord Archanon of the temple here in Mournhold. If I was to finish off the Brotherhood, I first needed to manage to get down to them…and therefore I needed a good disguise, which I happened to have…with me I had the Black Hand set carried by Haldin, and the two crossbows he had used as well.
The problem was that Calvus had no such thing as any Dark Brotherhood armour, and because of that, I needed to “borrow” it from someone else. The Archanon was quite well informed of how to get to them, and told me that some passages was filled with Goblins…who I had to avoid, then I would just get to the wrong place.
He allowed me top use his private quarters for my change, and gave me a bag filled with pieces of chalk…as a girl without any form of markings down there, could become very very lost. I smiled as I got back into the set of robes and such that I had worn for so many years ago…and I felt the raw magicka, boosting several of my skills…then I donned my weapons, and walked out to meet Calvus, who was practically dazzled by the looks of the set on me…I guess they fit to me sometimes.
We walked through the basement, and entered the trap door on the floor…the thick acrid smell of sewers, got hold of me quite fats, and it took the greatest of my efforts to keep me from vomiting…until I got used to the smell that was.
We came to a large hallway…( the sewers in Vivec city, is nothing compared to these), with three different passages, so naturally I just had to go with the famous Delvanni guessing…that led me to the left corridor.
We walked as silent as possible, through the long corridor, which was slowly turning right, and downwards…The soft shoes I was wearing, made almost no…if even no sounds at all…but the heavy armoured steel boots of Calvus, sounded like thunder in these silent halls.
Suddenly the halls was not so silent anymore…no, it was definitely some strange sounds around…then I recognised the loud grunting sounds….”Goblins”, I shouted, as I loaded one of the crossbows, and held it ready. Around the corner, came no less than five Goblins, grunting, and banging their clubs against their buckler shields.
I aimed, as I saw Calvius take up a rather defensive stance, with his shield in front of him…the closest Goblin, was slightly larger than the rest of them, so I shot at him.
The bolt, slammed into his chest, and delivered it’s lethal poison into his veins…and he was dead before he hit the ground.
With a cry that sounded like…”FOR THE EMPEROR”, Calvius, ran forward, and slammed his imperial broadsword, down to the head of one Goblin…cleaving him in twain, then with a brutal backslash, he beheaded another…the Goblins, screamed in fury, and fear, and then ran like they was possessed, back to where they came from…while Calvius, was cleaning his weapon, I wondered what in the name of the tribunes, all that was.
So, we backtracked to the large hall, which had conveniently filled itself up with less friendly skeletons, that had to be persuaded, by me and Calvius…then we decided for some lunch.
-“So Calvius”, I said, after I had swallowed down the meat I had in my mouth…”are there any special rules here in the city”.
-“Well, muthsera, Levitation, translocation spells, and recall/mark spells, are disallowed within the citadel, you’re not allowed to go out of the citadel, so the only teleportation spells allowed, are Intervention spells, as they will only transport you to another place in the citadel, and that’s about it”, he said…then he took another bite of his loaf of bred…with some scuttle on top.
We continued, after half an hour, then we took the central pathway…marking the earlier passage we had gone into with a large X…to point out that we was not going in there again. We had just put our hands to the two doors, at the end of the hall, when a scurry sad voice came to us.
-“Please, help me”…it was an ancestral spirit, talking to us…”Me and my wife was down here, when we were attacked by the Black Dart Gang, they killed me, but my wife got away…behind this door, there is a fake torch holder, that is a lever…it will flood most of the tunnel, and drown the Black Dart Gang…good luck”.
Ok…that was weird, but what do you say…never disappoint the last wish of a dead person, so I turned the cleverly concealed lever that he spoke of…and the tunnel was filled with water…but I guess we stood at the highest point in this tunnel, since it only reached us to our knees.
-“Calvius, wait here…I want to check out these guys, as I think they’re something special…after one minute have gone, turn the lever…as I think the water will disappear then…”
I gulped down a swift swim, and water breathing potion, and made my way through the muddy waters…at the end of the tunnels, I could see the members of the killer gang, floating at the top of the roof…and suddenly, the water seemed to flow away.
I sensed that there was some very powerful enchantments around here…and after looting the corpse of one of the gang members gave away the answer…The simple clothed mer’s, was wearing dozens of different darts, most unenchanted, but they was sharper than anything I have ever encounted, in my whole life…but some was enchanted with powerful poison and rain health spells…and they was literally coated with virulent poisons.
Nedless to say, I took all darts that I could find, so I was quite happy when I walked back to Calvius, with some hundred unechanted, and about sixty enchanted darts.
We went back to the sewers, and took the last passage, which gave away results…a large sign, at the end of it, said “Bazaar sewers”…so we walked in. The area here was filled up with all manner of creatures, but for the most, it was just a rat or three, or possibly a skeleton…but we did meet a rather nasty bonewalker, but he proved for me that undead are quite allergic to bolts, launched from a powerful crossbow.
At last we found something that could prove to be the place where my hated foes stayed…Manor District!!!!!!

Very good update Tellie! Oh, I see you've changed your name. We won't be seeing Telendil Delvanni around anymore then. It sometimes confused me as to who was the character in the story so it's better that you got rid of it. Anyway, I liked how you dealed with the Goblins. I had some epic clashes with them as well. Keep up the great work!

May 3 2006, 08:39 PM
Here it is.I knocked on the door, only to be met by a dark voice…Dunmeri, possibly a Nord. “What is the cover of night”…”Sanguine my brother”, I answered, knowing all to well the passwords and such of the guild.
The door swung open, and there stood a Dunmer, as I had thought, slightly larger than Calvius, but that didn’t matter…”Wha…hey you’re not supposed to be here….die fetch!!!!AAARGHHHH!!! I’m afraid whatever he was supposed to say, was cut off, with me chopping his head clean off with a dwemer shortsword.
-“Calvius, take his armour on you and just follow me…accordingly you might want to use his shortsword as well, meanwhile I’ll explain you on what you’re supposed to do”.
He nodded, and took of all his equipment, and fitted into the quite bloody armour. We was supposed to walk into the camp, me with my hood drawn over the face (something that I had neglected, i.e: I was discovered by the doorkeeper, because he could see my face)…then we would pretend that I had to follow him to the leader, since he had seen someone who fitted the description of that Delvanni woman (me)…he had been wounded when they attacked, and had I not arrived he would be dead by now.
After walking through the corridors, we eventually found a very large underground “cave”…what was so strange (something that I had noticed in the corridors), was that parts of an ancient city stood out of the rocks, although they are mere ruins now ( and was that then to), they were magnificent to look at. We stopped the closest assassin, and asked for the directions…(poor fools, the Brotherhood have become totally ignorant, pointing out the whereabouts of their leader just like that)…they had pointed to a door that was high up in the “cave”, but was accessible by walking up some wooden ramps.
Me and Calvius tried as best we could, to make it look as though he was wounded, and I was supporting him, when we walked up the big wooden ramp…and as a matter of fact, we had a spot of luck, and wasn’t caught, so I silently opned the door, into Moril Manor, which was where the leader was supposed to be.
We stood in a large hallway, with a path leading straight forward, and one going left, so we decided that I was to take the left one. I silently loaded my two crossbows, and snuck silently against the wall…just as I turned around the corner, I suddenly stood with my face, a couple of inches from another face…which looked rather angry.
-“Oh bugger”, I said as I saw three more assassins come running towards us, so naturally I stepped back, and fired both of the crossbows at the closest assassin, who gave out a pitched scream, before he hit the ground. The three other assassins, was entirely different thing though…I did not have the time to reload the crossbows, and well, one dwemer shortsword is nothing compared to three nasty enchanted adamantium shortswords…but then a though came to my mind…the darts!!!!
I quickly drew up three darts, and threatened them with them…”hahaha…do you really think we’re supposed to be afraid of some pesky steel darts…Delvanni”, one of the laughed.
Well, they earned it, I threw one of the darts, but as my aim is not like it used to be, I only made a tiny scratch on his left arm…He laughed at me, suddenly he looked as though he had seen the lords of Oblivion in front of him, and then he sank soundlessly to the floor…
-“You’ll pay for that Delvanni”, one of the screamed, and then they ran at me. I threw both darts, at the same time…unfortunately both hit just one person, which meant me against him.
We circled each other, watching for a mistake in each others movements, and then as if a special signal was revealed, we struck out with our blades. Strike, parry…it continued back and forth like that for a long time, until a brutal backslash, hit the assassin in the leg…The Dwemer blade, that was enchanted with a paralyze spell, was effective, and soon the assassin stood rooted to the spot…putting the blade to his throat, I pushed it forwards, as hard as I could…
Edit: I could have sworn I pushed the edit button....sry.

May 6 2006, 06:45 PM
Wohoo...update time, but I'm fraid that this one is rather short, but I'll try to make it up to you all, by giving out a looong one next time.
The blade tore through his neck as though it was merely butter, and his head fell to the floor with a large thud. Directly in front of me, I saw a large oval door…not the kind of doors you see in Daedra ruins, these were much less imposing and unnerving. The door opened with no sound at all, and by the start of a right turn, I could see a man in black robes…my target.
The man standing at the corner, had his back turned, so I warily snuck towards him…with an unsettling feeling of being watched by someone, the man said something for himself…Even though I managed to break into his mind by telepathy, and see the spell he chanted, I was to late to avoid the glass arrow that was shot from the recently summoned bound longbow.
I stood there as a paralyzed guar, when the glass arrow slammed into my right ribs, and I screamed in agony, as several of them was fractured. Still, I managed to get back into cover, standing beside the door entrance. I gulped down a healing potion, and felt the painful method of flesh and bones knitting themselves back into place. I dared to take a look into the room, by extending my head…the leader Dandras Vules, was still standing at the same spot, holding an arrow ready for me.
The next five minutes was some of the worst ones in my life…for five minutes, me shot at each other, he had hidden by his corner, and I had hidden myself between the doorway. The last time I shot into the room, I heard the sound you get when a bolt pierces flesh, and an undeniable scream, that told me he was hit. I walked down to where he was supposed to be, but he wasn’t there, as I found out, when he crushed me to the ground, he had hidden himself in the beams of the roof, and dropped down on me.
And there he sat, a dagger to my throat, mocking me…”Now Delvanni, what do you have for me then, maybe if you just let me do my thing, I’ll let you go”, and then he started with his hand that wasn’t holding a dagger, to unstrap his pants, and I realised what he wanted to do….
NO WAY…
I felt my left hand, it was still holding one of the crossbows, and by a miracle it was loaded as well, so now I would have fun. “You know Vules, back in Cyrodiil they never learnt us to tackle this…this feeling”!
-“Feeling, what feeling”, he said suddenly, clearly interested now.
-“Well, it’s kinda like this”…
tjokk!!!!, the bolt had flown straight through his gut, and imbedded itself in the wall, and he fell backwards, and landed on the floor, writhing in agony.
I dragged him up by the wall, holding a tight chokehold on him…”WHO ISSUED A CONTRACT ON ME”, I yelled at him…since he did not answer, I summoned a fireball in my hand, ready to be unleashed…”TELL ME NOW”!!!!!, I said in my most hateful voice.
-“You achieve nothing by killing me”, he gurgled out…”You know what, you’re absolutely right”, I told him, and then I lowered my hand with the ready fireball, to a more…delicate spot…”Tell me, and I shall make sure you’re still a man, when you are buried.
He looked at me in shock, before e began blabbering out. “The issue came with a man called H, it was sent down here by an emissary from the castle…and that’s all I know…I swear”, he was actually crying now.
Then, I released the fireball, that hit him in…you know where, and he fell to the floor threshing in agony, while I muttered something like…”Oh dear, my fault”…a bolt in the head later, and his threshing had stopped, and I scooped up a rolled parchment that he had dropped.

In accordance with all laws and traditions, the afore-mentioned personage will be executed in the name of H in the most expedient manner possible. All services of the Dark Brotherhood are at the disposal of the Bearer of this binding and non-disputable document.
I as shaking in my hands after reading that letter, the sheer coldness towards lovely me, and the exact whereabouts of my residence, gave me the creeps. Soon after, Calvius came back, blood dripping from his armour, that was reduced to shreds, but still not a single wound was on his body. “I have rooted out the rest of thus Oblivion cursed place, but I had a little accident, so there is a larger fire going on, so I suggest we get to the surface as quickly as possible.
I gave him a divine intervention scroll, and used one myself to get to the palace. Well up there, I explained to him the situation, and I could have sworn I heard him mutter something like “Corrupted bastards”. So, with weapon in hand, we both marched into the throne room, intent on confronting the king, who was conveniently the only person from the palace, who had the letter H, as his first letter.

Oh, but the kings have to be subtle around Telina. Did you see what she did to that assassin? Painfull, I tell you. Telina is very nasty when angered, so the King will have to act like a good guy if he wants to keep his...essentials. Remember the interrogation back in Vivec?
(I'm still trying to figure out what the essentials were, but they must've been important for that guy.)

May 7 2006, 11:05 AM
You're still trying to figure out what the essentials were? What is very essential to a man and his lineage? Not a wife, the other things. The general and the two sergeants. Anyway, I think Telina will have to be nice around Helseth. He's got guards you know? It's not like he's alone like that DB assassin was. He has guards. Anyway, I'm curious to see what happens.

So those are the essentials, the male's reproductive mechanism? (I'll avoid using the B-word till the end of time.

) Meh, they don't sound too essential to me, and I am a guy. (Go figure.

)
So Telina is outnumbered, well maybe the three Atronachs (sounds like some sort of band) would like to help.
Agent Griff
May 8 2006, 08:46 PM
I think it would be very, very painful to receive a fireball to the essentials (to avoid using another B-word). Just imagine how painful a kick to the two round essentials is, then amplify it by 100. That would be the sensation you would receive when your essentials get hit by the fireball (just try putting a lighter close to them

)
And to be on topic, I think there are too many royal guards for even the Atronachs to handle.

May 8 2006, 09:09 PM
Hey, I'm a tough guy, you don't scare me.

Alright, I'm a big coward, but I still don't see them as essential. After all, I am not quite interested in their usual purpose at the moment.
Now can we please drop the subject? I don't want a mod to close the thread or something. This sounds like something for General Discussion and I like hell would never join that discussion over there. Only this time, I started it, so I'm trapped.

It's been a while since the last update, and I realized I had not yet commented. Telina certainly found an imaginative way to deal with the local brotherhood leader. I do hope Telina doesn't get herself in too much trouble in the palace; storming into the throne room dripping with blood and demanding more isn't exactly the best way to guarantee leaving alive.

Well, I'm back again, with a little update for you, so please enjoy yourself.-“Tell me, where is the king…I much desire to speak with him”, I said in a threatening tone.
-“Disarm yourself woman”, a voice said, “Drawn weapons is not allowed in the throne room”…seeing the five blades or so, that was hold towards the throats of me and Calvius…so naturally I dropped my blades, and heard the clatter of blades hitting the floor behind me, which told me that Calvius was unarmed as well.
The imposing imperial who was wearing royal guard armour…sake for a helmet, was named Tienus Delitian, and he was the captain of the royal guard, so my best guess was to ask him.
I walked over to him, and pushed the letter into his hands. I watched with great appreciation, as his face turned whiter and whiter, the more of the letter he read, but being an imperial, he was quite good with the voice, so he answered back in a cold slick voice.
-“Ah, a severe mistake by the palace I’m sure, you see his Royal Majesty had gotten a tip of one of his informants that you presented a threat o the monarchy, so naturally we couldn’t let that happen…but you may prove your loyalty to his Royal Majesty that you are in fact a faithful servant, do you accept”?…ok, so here was my options, running around doing the bidding of a King who wanted me dead, and maybe, just maybe gain his favour…or I could go against him, and probably sign my own death warrant…I chose the first one.
-“So, someone have been putting out rumours on the street, that His Royal Majesty, poisoned and killed the deceased King Llethlan, to become King himself…naturally such a rumour, is devastating towards his good name and will, and the people will think of him, as the rumour tells, so I need you to go out and stop the rumour, at all costs”.
Ok…that was weird, people would think of the King, as a ruthless tyrant if this rumour wasn’t stopped, well I wont say that they were wrong about him, at least not then, but still if I did not stop this rumour, it would eventually backfire against me, and I would probably have a nasty “accident”, so instead I started to wander around Mournhold.
I decided, that the Great Bazaar, was the best place to start looking up, something to do, and hat do you know, at the end of the large western stairs, I found a woman…sobbing!!!
-“Hey, what’s wrong”? I asked her, holding my arms around her.
And then, she just stopped, sat down, and with a empty voice, she started to tell me.
-“I have this problem, all I do is to work, work and work, I never have time to meet anyone new”…”New”, I asked.
-“Yes, new, I did not go here to Mournhold to work, no, I grew up happily in Tear, until a day my father told me that he had arranged a marriage, between me and some fat nobleman, whom I disgusted the most”…”So, I ran, I ran from town to town, until I found myself here in Mournhold, I was sure that I would find prince charming, only it turned out that was…wrong”.
-“You know what, I will tell you, if I find any single men, in the future…the name’s Telina Delvanni”, I said, extending my hand. “Marena Gilnith”, she said, grasping my hand and shaking it. As I was walking in the Bazaar, a piece of paper, flew straight onto my face. Angry I tore it off, only to see the name Helseth, on it, so naturally my curiosity, went into overdrive, and forced me to read it.

The Common Tongue.
“Anhar was an agent for Eastern Ebony merchants. There was an unfortunate scandal concerning improper contracts offered to Helseth as compensation for his assistance in obtaining Ebony import remits from the Imperial Board of Census and Excise. Luckily for Prince Helseth, this scandal blew over when no one could be found to testify. Is it just a coincidence that Anhar's health went into a steep decline, just as he was to testify before the Imperial magistrates? He died a natural death, according to the Imperial coroners. Convenient and timely, perhaps, but natural.”
So, this was the rumours that was spread around, that Helseth was a mass poisoneer, well I had no problems about believing in it, but sometimes you have to look out for number one, so now it was time to show this paper Tienus.

I'm glad Telina decided not to fight the royal guards. I have great respect for her combat abilities, but I think that would have been a fight she could not win. I'm looking forward to seeing how she decides to deal with her (justified) anger against Helseth.

Yooho, I'm back! Which means, time to read.
Ahem, I really liked your updates. And I feel somewhat sorry for Marena Gilnith. If Foryn Gilnith of Seyda Neen is family, well....I kinda removed the possibility of a reunion.
Just keep writing.

Update time.
-“Insolent bastards”, I heard Tienus mutter, after he read through the paper. “Ok, Delvanni, I’ll handle this one, as for now, I have a new mission for you…you see, the temple is greatly against His Royal Majesty, so we wishes you to find out what the Temple thinks of him, and what they will do if he actually takes the throne…report any suspicious matters to me”.
I bowed and turned back, I met up with Calvius in the courtyard, and there he stood in a shiny set of Templar armour, how he had gotten his fingers in that one, I did not ask. “So, boss, where are we going”, he asked.
-“First of all, don’t call me boss, call me Sed Delvanni, or Inquisitor Delvanni, and as for where we are going, we have to take a little trip to the temple, and ask a bunch of questions”, he smiled, and silently followed me out.
Halfway, towards the temple, a high pitched voice came to me. “Excuse me miss, can you lend a ten septim to a poor fellow like myself”?
I looked around me, but saw no one, and then I looked down, and there stood a short Bosmer, with a kind of smashed up face, so he looked more like a guar on two legs than a Bosmer, and his height, well lets say his head was about a feet taller than my wais, so he was damned short, and as all Bosmers do, he had a highly irritating voice.
-“Sure, here you go”, I tossed him a coin, saying “keep it”.
-“So, I see you must be wealthy, so how about a further hundred, and I pay you back first Loredas morning, eh”?...ok now he was bugging me.
-“If you wanted a hundred more than what I just borrowed you, why didn’t you tell me, now get out of my sight”.
-“Maybe you didn’t understand me, you lend me a hundred septims, and I’ll pay you back first hand on Loredas, a simple loan”.
-“YOU GET AWAY FROM ME”!!! I yelled, and suddenly two High Ordinators was standing right beside him, asking “What’s the problem here, Ser Inquisitor”?
-“This mer is bugging me down, he wants me to loan him money, and cant take NO for an answer, so get him out of my sight” I was firm on this, when he would not listen, then other methods was needed.
-“YOU’LL REGRET THIS YOU BASTARDE”, he Yelled to me as he was dragged away…”NO ONE SAYS NO TO GAENOR”!!!
With that settled, I could go and do my task.
The temple, was as always filled up with High Ordinators, and such, but then again, I was not here to talk to the High Ordinators. I was just on my way to the temple Infirmary, when Fedris Hler, the steward of Lady Ayem, called me over.
-“Yes, what is it you want Ser Hler”?...”I want your help on a matter, very nasty business indeed”, he smiled at me, although with that big scar he had over his left side of the face, had the opposite effect of looking happy.
-”You, see, the law here in Morrowind, claims the King to have a standing army, and well Helseth is bound by the same laws…but we have gotten rumours of a…different army!!! A goblin army”. “Altmer have gotten fame with their use of goblins in their army, so we know that the army must have at least one, possibly two Altmer trainers, and two warchiefs…so I want you to find the goblins, and kill the trainers, and warchiefs”.
On any other occasion I would have said NO, right on the spot, but then the problem was…I was bound by an oath, an oath that required me to do the tribunals wishes, so I walked away from Hler, fuming. In the Infirmary , I found what I was looking for, a person all by herself, so I walked over.
-“Hey, I’m Inquisitor Sed Delvanni, could I ask you a couple of questions”?, I gave her a genuine smile (or so I hope), and just hoped she wouldn’t be scared off.
-“Well, Sed Delvanni, what do you want to know”?
-“I want to know, what the temple would do, if Helseth is crowned King…the Inquisition wishes to know more about the subject”, I lied.
-“Oh…err…the temple would respond badly to that, I think we would have done everything we could to stop him from claiming the throne…but then again we are not too sure, the Tribunal, have stopped walking amongst us, the last time, one of them was in public was over fifty years ago, and I have started to question their divinity, I mean if they are so divine, why do they stop walking amongst us, why is there rumours all over the place that their powers a dwindling and….Oh I shouldn’t have said that”, and then she turned tail and ran as fast she could away from me.
I smiled, I had now gotten the info I needed, so I just paused to pick up my Indoril armour, which I now wore under my robe, and then I started the walk back towards the palace. In the courtyard, I suddenly saw a short person, clad up with Ebony all over him, and he turned towards me, and then a high pitched voice…”I told you, NO ONE SAYS NO TO GEANOR”!!!!!!!!!!

Bosmer these days, they just don't have any manners. Back when I was young.... *shakes head.*
Alright, I think that that is enough of my old vampire imitation. Anyway, I loved the update and this Gaenor fellow sounds funny. I just wonder where he got his armour, Ebony is a bit more expensive than the money he got. And can he even move in it?
Oh well, as if that matters. Telina is just going to play with him for a bit before smacking his face into the ground, painfully.

Haha, with that comment you have proved that you have not seen what Geanor can do

...lets say it this way, Telina will wish that she wasnt so greedy, and angry with him
But seriously, I'm gonna try to make the next update come within the week

Telina seems to be trapped by her position in the temple. This makes it all the more interesting that the palace should use her to spy on the temple. It's a fine line to walk between the palace and the temple; I hope Telina is up to the challenge.

So, a little fight sequence here...enjoy
Then he ran full pelt towards me. He drew an Ebony shortsword, while howling some words, best let unmentioned. I drew my Dwemer blades, and made myself ready to get him. When he was mere feet away from me, I struck out towards him, with both blades, but somehow I managed to accidentally slip on a vet rock, and there I was laying face down, a few inches away from him.
I heard the swooshing sound, and I rolled away, and he neatly cut through my robe, and I felt a wetness erupt in my leg. “You see, you cant beat Geanor, and now I will kill you”.
Ok, he was going for the hard way, fine, time for some magic. “Obsuro Immentia”. The powerful psychic shockwave was designed to throw an opponent several feet away, yet still I was flung straight into the temple staircase, and while the stars was circling my eyes, I heard clashes of steel, so I guess that Calvius was fighting him too. “Inmorte Obsentia”, I watched as the fireball flew towards him, and took an 180 swing, and it was by pure luck, that I managed to get out of its way, however the temple doors was more unfortunate.
I too up my crossbows, “two bolts left…damn”, I loaded, and took careful aim, and sent a telepathic message to Calvius, to get down. The second he dropped, I squeezed the triggers, and watched as a sudden wind, blew both bolts out of the way, and he continued to stand there.
I screamed in frustration, as I flung myself towards him again, Dwemer blades hissing, and whistling through the air. How many times me and Calvius struck, the honoured user just dodged them lamely, or we did total misses, like slipping, loosing our grip, or miscalculating the distance. Calvius was down, he had broken his leg, and was a couple of yards behind me, with the Ebony shortsword through his leg, while Geanor, had drawn an even larger Ebony weapon, from my guesses, a broadsword, which had neatly cut my two blades in half, in one fell swipe.
Ok, so he was resistant to magic, and he probably had something that massively boosted his luck, but I doubted that a direct hit with something flammable, would be reflected, so I jumped back, and drew a bottle with flin, and tossed it directly towards him.
The flin drenched his armour from top to toe, and I quickly launched a fireball, not towards him, but near his feet, and watched with glee, as he was suddenly alight, squealing like a stuck guar. I grabbed his broadsword, and started to hack away on him, true only like one out of ten hits, got to him, but he was laying on the ground, panting. I quickly grabbed the necklace he carried around his neck, and hung it on me, suddenly I felt…lucky. But I noticed the flames was burning out, and he was still alive, so I slashed out against his head, with the broadsword, and felt bones crack, and he fell limp to the ground…dead.
-“Calvius, get over here, and grab his armour…I think that you’ll need it, and you can keep the sword that is stuck in your leg as well”. I then sat down, panting, holding my head. I had gotten many hits on me, and I was bleeding from several wounds, and one time it had been a miracle that my artery didn’t get cut. I gulped down a healing potion, and gasped in pain, as the skin and flesh knitted back, and strength returned…sometimes I wonder what is most painful, the wound, or healing it?

An excellent fight sequence. I particularly enjoyed Telina's creative solution to Gaenor's incredible luck. I'm glad to see that she got out alright.

What the heck?!

Say, couldn't Gaenor be so kind and give me just a bit of his luck? He's the luckiest bugger in Tamriel!
Great fight, and it must have been quite entertaining to watch.
