Full Version: Most Anoying Creature

What would you say is the most anoying type of creatures you encountered?Something that makes you say:''Ah ,not you again!''

I think it's mudcrab.I can't Fast Travel because ''enemyes are near'' an i find very anoying that i have to hunt down these litle pests.I also hate when i see goblin warlords.Hard prey for stealth characer.

So what's your ''cliffracer''?
xycolian
Well, I hate rats the most just because they attack so rapidly, they are really annoying. The times that I encounter rats are few and far between, but when I do encounter them, I feel a deep hatred being renewed
stargelman
Willie the Wisp.

I can kill it well enough when I sneak-shoot it - 4-5 shots or so and it's history. But if it sees me, I am. I hate those buggers. There's mountain lions too, but at least you're outside and with some luck you make it to some place with guards. Argh. I don't get why I encounter Willies either, I am only frigging level 8! sad.gif
metalskull
I HATE OGRES...

ALL OGRES MUST DIE!!!

damn, I should have alchemy instead of Illusion
Olav
I just reached level 20, and last night I encountered several creatures I haven't seen before, including the Ogre. They were everywhere! If they are going to be appearing this often from now on they are definitely the most annoying ones.

I also encountered the Will-O-Wisp for the first time. Had no idea what hit me (or rather my horse) until I [removed because of possible spoiler]. Quite annoying too... huh.gif

But I'm very happy we don't have cliff racers anymore... smile.gif
Black_Waltz
Mountain lions by far. You can't even outrun them.
D3TOX
Im not that far on but the clanfear are a pain in the boat.
Elendil
Hmm...haven't really encountered anything that that can't be killed quite easily with either my Silver or Daedric Longsword. cool.gif This includes Ogres, Trolls and Willie-O-Whatevers. If they fail I use an enchanted one... biggrin.gif
Furious_George
NOTHING is as bad as the hated cliffracer.
Mudcrabs are a little annoying but not nearly as ubiquitous, they're only near water.
I find the wraiths to be very annoying in forts. I hate how they drain you and can be tough at 50% or greater difficulty. At least they're not all over the place.

NOTHING IS AS BAD AS THOSE @#$^#$^ CLIFFRACERS LOL
softwhisper
from level 25+ (33 now, and FINNALY vampire free *i'm pretty again*)

spider daedra and that little thing they spit out, packs (like 3 at a time) of minataur lords. the super high level trolls are even worse than any of these. with {spoiler} equipment, those trolls are still a big pain in my cute little girly dunmer #@%!

though clanfears gave me trouble between 20-27ish when they attack as a pack. makes it difficult to use a bow effectively.

wraiths are no problems at all. those super-zombies though... o. m. g. they just won't DIE!

~impolite rant over, please continue with your polite discourse about this wonderful game, even if the topic is it's slight shortcommings.

biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

PS- I'll take cliff racers ANY day over freakin' high level trolls.

Agreed.
But some creatures are really anoying.
What's your ''oblivion cliffracer''?
ThanadoS
ghosts, first they silence me so i can't curse, then they shoot me with ice, so i can't slay them, finally they punch me, so i rest in pieces.
DoomedOne
Anything that I can harm with normal weapons. Is it me or are enchanted weapons a pain the boat now? They either cost a fortune or you have to soultrap every little monster you fight. I usually sneak past them.

Trolls definitely suck a duck, but my vampire hunter is spiffed out with fire stuff so they're not so bad. I just hate it because my shield never blocks them, ever, their arms are like clubs. Everytime they hit me I get stunned, two trolls together and I take the big sleep.
bloodyfish
Everything got easy with the whole full enchanted deadric. But I hate gloob wraiths and dread zombies.
Gloom wraiths always overencumber me(always have a lot of deadric items in my inventory at once, makes it heavy with the dungeon loot).
Dread zombies give me that disease. I use the potions against disease that I need for when I encounter a vampire.
Soulseeker3.0
I don' t know the cliff racers weren't that bad acctually, they were just tedious... and everywere... so yeah I take my statement back.... biggrin.gif

My new Cliff racer is the Trolls... they are just super strong and super fast.. then there are also mountain lions, i'm getting to were they aren't to bad but they are just fast, and pounce on you and.... arg!
Aki
Trolls. Green fuzzy sons of.... tongue.gif

Wolves can be pretty damn bad when riding on a horse. Gotta ge toff my horse, smack 'em, get back on..... <_<

It seems that folks have two types of "cliff racers" - the first are what the MW 'racers were - difficult at low levels, but just really really annoying when you're tough.
The second would be creatures that annoy you, but mostly because they're tough.

For me, nothing in OB is like the 'racer, which makes me happy. Mudcrabs, wolves/mountain lions, wraiths, all can be annoying with varying levels of challenge, but none of them show up every few feet as you try to travel anywhere.

Trolls are an example of the second category, but I'd compare them more to a tough corprus beast from MW because they're difficult to beat down (except the corprus beasts from MW were worse because they'd curse your strength which meant you had to take off all your enchantments, restore strength, then put it all back on).

Since I've been quoted a few times already, I'll just smile and say with relief one more time, NOTHING is like MW's 'racer (THANK G_D).
Aki
Corprus beasts never cursed you.

That was the Bonewalkers. They're big, magickal-zombie-things. tongue.gif

The faded wraiths are like the new bonewalker. honoured user strength-drainers. tongue.gif
bloodyfish
Why does everyone hate trolls? Theyre easy! You should get better equipment first if theyre too hard. Or magic. The wizard's fury spell can kill them fast.
ThePerson98
I would have to say wolves, my system doesnt like em, it lags bad when I get one on me. I now call them lags.

"Uh oh, a lag is chasing me"

BUT they are easy.

Okay, you're right it was the bonewalkers. Hated those things.

The difference is now if you've got enchanted armor, you don't have to take it off to restore your strength.

Let me just repeat how much I hate Willies.

With my current character, I encountered the first Willie at level 6! What madness is that? I hadn't even found any weapon that could harm it in any way at that point! Not to mention one I'd actually be good with! Now I'm level 17 and I just got owned by one again! I almost killed it, but the !"§"%&§$% sucked me dry first, and there was nothing I could do! I went into the fight with full health and I had 3 health potions I used up, but no go.

I hate those idiotic yellow-@#! buggers!
Konji
If you've been up to that tallest place in cyrodil and read that guy's diary....Does that creature actually exist? If so then that is the most annoying creature as I cannot find him anywhere.

I don't know where the tallest place in cyrodiil is other than the top of White-gold tower and that's impossible to get too. so could you be a bit more specific?

Yeah, that creature actually exists. Well, it existed. in that journal that the guy wrote, he mensions a hero who came to the thirsk hall and defeated the udifrykte. That hero was supposed to be you (if you got the bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind)

anyways... I hope that there's a severed Nord leg somwhere in the game of Oblivion tongue.gif
Taillus
I think for me the Cliffracer of Oblivion is definately bandits that use bows... good gravy those things upset me! They hop out from the bushes and demand money and if I don't give any they procede to fill me as well as my horse with arrows as I am trying to climb down to hack them up.

After I reduce them to a heap of roadkill on the side of the road I turn to see my poor bay horse with a baker's dozen of arrows sticking out of his face.

Im getting all upset just thinking about it...
Ibis
The most annoying creatures that have bothered me so far in Oblivion are the imperial guards who turn out to be the owners of the horses I am trying to steal, or at least ride away unnoticed...but these guys always show up and usually fine me and haul me off the the Imperial Prison to pay. But the last guy just gave me a choice of surrender or resist arrest - so I resisted and then had so much trouble backing up the horse away from the building that he wound up killing me. So I jsut didn't have to save that fiasco. wacko.gif

In my new game I've started travelling manually more instead of fast-travel, and I must say I'm starting to agree with this. Granted there are not that many as cliffracers, and you can see them from far away, but the shock bursts they shoot is a pain in the neck for my Altmer character... mellow.gif
Ibis
I'm agreeing too about the imps .... like if they weren't already annoying enough in Morrowind, now they gotta fly? nono.gif

You know what's weird?
I only saw a few imps in my 140 hours of playing. At what levels do Imps apear?
If it's on some low level, then i didn't see them because i'm leveling very fast.
Ibis
The flying imps are usually found outside the entrances of tunnels and mines it seems evillol.sml.gif

I just started a new game last night, and I saw one today. I was level 3 at the time, and it was 'in the middle of nowhere' (not close to a mine or cave or anything). It was close to the path on my way from Chorrol to Cloud Top mountain.

I saw many in my last game though, at all levels I think (reached level 24 when I stopped).
Elendil
Ghosts, Will-O-Wasps, Dremora Churls, Faded Wraiths, Imps and Scamps are no problem at all. I use silver swords w/chock enchantment. Just whack away. If that don't work I use my 60 chock staff. biggrin.gif

The most annoying by far has to be the Clannfears, they're constantly in your face.
mad.gif

EDIT: Or wolfs, they're a nuicence.
Ibis
I'm quite fond of clanfears ... or at least I was in Morrowind.

I had a special race character called a Wingmer which was just an Altmer with wings. But, she was a mage and had a pet clanfear plus summon clanfear spells to deal with people who bothered her, like bartenders who would NOT put the pink umbrella in the drink. Major problems, ya know? Clanfears are good for that.

But I've not encountered any so far in Oblivion, so I can't rightly say if I like them there or not.

Agent Griff
I find wolves to be rather annoying and all over the place. They're also as fast as my horse and it's very annoying to get off the horse, kill them then get back on. It also seems like they multiply and teleport in front of me when I run from them with a quick horse. I also hate highwaymen, they always stand at the end of bridges and demand money from you or hop out of bushes like some homeless guy then kill your for your money. Very annoying but not like the cliffracer. Those buggers were invisible and they also detected your from 50 miles away. The animals in Morrowind generally had a chaotic behaviour. I remember that rats attacked me when I was level 30. I also remember that I once tried to run from a cliffracer. At one point I decided to face him, I turned around and 8 cliffracers all over the screen. Memorable times.
