The basement is right there.At later stages you can enter through the nearby well

Hehe, hate to tell you this but the skeleton key is a fancy lockpick that doesnt break. I use it and unlocking spells. Use unlock spells in crowded areas. They dont raise your bounty.

Yeah, Skeleton key still a picklock but you can click on "auto attemp" like crazy until it opens, don't care, can't break !
