the problem i am having is during the quests given to you by the (spoiler) gray fox (spoiler) and i just completed the quest where i have to steal the arrowhead. he told me to fence 700 gold worth of goods and to wait in the impearial city if he needs me again. i had already fenced the gold, so i fenced some more and ive been waiting in the city since (as a test even waited like 14 days or so in-game) and he still hasnt sent for me. any ideas?

well, I'm sure that it might have somrthing to do with the platform that you play on, so tell us if you play on the 360 or PC.

i didn't get any bugs in that quest, so if it is a bug, i can't help. advice however:

go ahead and steal/fence your way till you've fenced a full 1000 septims (1k)
then just stand in the talos plaza district (always worked faster for me, don't know why) and wait and wait and wait and wait.

if it is a bug, look on bethesda's tech support forum (if the have one)
failing that, there's a console command for everything, after you've exaughsted every other option and are at your wits end. look up what variable you have to change in the console and it'll fix it quick-snap

i think ive fenced over 1k, but i have trouble waiting in the talos plaza since im a vamp. ill give it a shot though thanks for the help

btw i have it for the 360 so console commands wont work

Wait an hour at a time. If you need to get out of the sun, go into an inn for the day (maybe rent a room), come out at night, sneak into a room, feed, then go stand in the plaza and wait for an hour at a time again. I got quests inside rented rooms in inns in Imp City as well.

When you get the note that the Gray Fox is looking for you, head to the Imperial City (any district will do), wait an hour or two, then just put your controller down and stand still for a little while. Methredhel is coming to find you, but she's walking fairly slowly, so you need to give her time to reach you without dashing about all willy-nilly.
