For my Dunmer, i bought a house in Cheydinhal, naturally.
It's a nice place anyway, and the house looks good when fully furnished.

My dunmer just has the imperial house and the anvil one, it's not he's poor, he just has thousands of gold worth of merchandise in his house I haven't gotten around the selling yet. Once I do I'll be able to afford skingrad and chorral together.

Bought them all, as after some time, you've too much money to spend otherwise

My Character is mostly "living" in the Arch Mages Tower, Skingrad and Chorrol

I still only have the uh.. house in the Waterfront, but on my last mission I found almost 15k gold worth of loot (just reached level 20), so I'll be buying another one soon.
Btw, took me quite a few trips to carry all that loot back to town even with 75 points feather spells and some extra strength apparel...

Houses that I currently have the deed of ownership for:
1: Rosethorn Hall (my HQ

)
2: Benerus manor (the place in anvil)
3. the hut in Imperial city
4. the place in Bruma
5. Arbor Watch (or something like that) in Chorrol

Feather isn't as good as strength enchantments..... I like having about 80 points of strength enchantment which equals 400 more encumberance you can manage. Then you can use your feather stuff, but use the strength as the main 'carrying' enhancer.
Of course, you should also do the math and pick up smaller items that sell for more - especially since a 5800 cuirass is still only worth 1200 and is VERY heavy.

I jsut bought rosethorn, I bought it right after beating the arena because I had just bumped over 25000 with it (and still have all the loot at my place). It's mostly my fan's house, heh, he stands on the 2nd floor all day long. I'll have to move him before I buy furniture.

My Battlemage/main char lives in Benirus Manor in Anvil and at other times, in the Arch-Mage's tower in The Arcane Academy.
My Assassin lives mostly in the Cheydinhal DB sanctuary.

What would you say the "nicest" house is? I want to splash out on one but I don't want to buy one to find out it is another shack...
Oh. And there was another funny adoring fan video showing him on one of those spike pits... But it has vanished. *pouts*

The haunted house in Anvil is very nice once the ghosts are gone. Cozy fireplace and all...

Very cheap, since it comes fully furnished (and cleaned and tidied up when the ghosts are gone). And it has a very cool basement!

I like skingrad because of the display tables the best. I have my mythic dawn commentaries on display, as well as most of the items I've stolen and don't want to sell, like the draconian madstone.

It's useless unless you have the money to spend of furniture, too, which is like 10-20k depending on your bartering and persuasion skills.
