To join the Dark Brotherhood you must kill yeah? well can anybody here tell me if ''fjortie'' I think his name is in Brava, he owns the hammer and axe shop, I killed him but can anyone tell me if he is important to the game, because I never got caught and the guards haven't noticed.

Probably not then, you could probably check the Wiki and see if he is listed as being vital to the main quest. The guards would probably have done something if he was so important though.

I've not killed yet, but I like to go upstairs of merchants houses and steal stuff out of their cabinets and chests. I don't have any trouble if I just walk in and go right up the stairs ... but if I deal with them first, some of them will come up to the top of the stairs and say "Yes?" ... so I can't proceed to steal right in front of them. At least, I haven't tried it yet, think I'll make a save first and then give that a try.

I tried that lol, had to re-load a save game, but I killed him because he wouldn't get out of the bed in the waterfront which I wanted to sleep in, and its against the thievs guild rules.

Just pay the bloodprice later(to re-join the guild)

My hubby kills guards for their armor - wears what he likes and sells the rest.

He won't go clothes-shopping in real life either. Oh but we use Sportsmans Guide catalogue - I guess they'd start noticing if the neighbors started disappearing but their clothes were walking around on my hubby ......
