Well, I'm more like a hen than a chick, been around awhile .. hehehe - but I play Oblivion. Just like I played Arena, Daggerfall and Morrowind. Gotta say that the favorites out of the bunch for me are Morrowind and then Arena.

I just feel that Oblivion is missing too much that was inclusive in Morrowind and the new things like horses and travel-by-map are nice, but not making up for the exclusions of things that just seemed essential in Morrowind.

I've been a fan of the Elder Scrolls ever since a computer-crazy cousin of mine gave me Daggerfall, as a birthday gift, in early 2000. Initially, I was dissapointed, by the lack of new graphics and other such useless things, but the story soon sucked me right in and I went on to play Morrowind as well.

Right now, since my computer can't run Oblivion (and I don't have enough money to upgrade it) I'm playing the game at a friend of mine.

I was deprived in my childhood and never had a computer to play early TES games except Morrowind. So I must tell the truth and say I envy you >.<

Anyway, it's awsome to have "hens" who play computer games >.< Maybe I can tell you all what Master Dirox and I are thinking of...

The only Elder Scrolls games I ever played alot were Morrowind and downloaded Arena from ES site. Morrowind really changed the way I look at RPG's in a good way, because the only RPG's I've been exposed to were JPRGS (japanese RPG), which were very linear and not-so-opened-ended like the ES series.

The only thing I wish the ES series have is more romance and much, much more deeper character interaction and kids (like in the Sims series), but still keep the adventuring aspect of it. (Oblivion has improved much on more deeper NPCs, but I still want more similar to the Sims' AI. It's getting close, though.)

Right now, I'm playing Oblivion and I'm having much fun with it (though it has become a bit too FPS in some parts). And I can't wait for the next installment (but, please, Beth, make a more stable and computer-friendly game)!

I Baraka am an alabaster white ghosthound who also can shiftshape into a snow wolf, from the craggy hills of High Rock, Tamriel. I am attached (sentimentally) to a humanoid mage named Justun F. Thyme who leads me on a rollicking series of mis-adventures ... but I always manage to salvage our butts in the end, plus a few magicka tricks from Justun, of course. lolol

I know where you're coming from about there being more romance in Obliv. Some people are talking about scripting some in. I think a premier person who advanced the idea of romantic attachments in Morrowind was the maker of the slavegirl Jessica mods and Lara Croft/Indiana Jones companion mods. But I think with the new AI for NPCs .. alot more emotion could be worked into Oblivion. We shall see.

Great that you'll have a look! I've roleplayed dogs before, pretty tough what with the lack of dialogue.

For more romance and a good way of doing it (with voice acting I think) chekc out Arriana Tradeaux mod.

Yes, I've downloaded the Arriana Trudeaux mod but have yet to install it. She certainly is beautiful though.

I got around the problem of doggy dialogue by making Baraka connected by thoughtwaves to Justun F. Thyme, so they needed no words between them. One of the other RPer's got in the spirit of things by making his scout understand many animal languages of Tamriel, including dawg - so he & I could communicate just fine also.

Good way of getting round it, get everyone else do do the work for you.

Nope non at all, and it sucks. I wish I had the time and nerves to do some modding. I've only made some custom weapons and some magic items but that's all.

yup...I do...only at this point my Comp cant play Ob....need a new DVD drive first...

But I guess I qualify, as theoretically I play it as well...

I am having your problem with Obliviion sorta, I can play but many areas lag out so bad that I am moving one frame at a time. Most aggravating. she seems to do better when I use cap/locks to make her run, but she is an Imperial and wears heavy armor. Maybe that is slowing things down too. I must try my Khajiit, see if she moves faster.
I read where someone lowered the ammount of programming on their hard drive and did much better with movement in Oblivion. Think I will try that too. But, ultimately, I am waiting for my sister to send us a housewarming gitt so that I can buy a video card to go with my new processor and memory stick.
