ive ben hit soo many times do they need to get up close and bite me or just hit me with there weapon?
Tellie
yuo get infected when they hit you...but the number of times youmust be hit varies greatly....fex, a redguard who have a high disease resistance have a faar smaller chance of getting infected that a high elf or imperial...

So, you just have to wait, untill a message comes and say you have been infected by a disease...I dont remember the name of it...embarrased.gif

im a dark elf and like do certain vamp work better than others
will there weapon infect me?
Tellie
Sure they will infect you...but as I said earlier...the number of hits required to get infected is randomised between the computer, your level, the level of the vampire, what kind of resistances you have...etc.

So there is no real way to tell how many hits youmust take to get infected.

wel ok....ill just get raped by them tthen all day ty

Number of hits can vary a great deal. I was doing a quest for the shrine of Azura, putting down a couple of her supporters who had unwillingly turned into vampires, and I didn't check my active effects when I came out. After three days of more adventure, it turns out I'm a vampire biggrin.gif Just shows it can happen totally unexpectedly, although I was slightly naive as to expect not to get anything from the vampires.

I hadn't been planning on that, and I got a cure as quickly as possible, leaving as little pin-pricks in peoples' necks as possible biggrin.gif Vampirism can be a very big pain in the neck (excuse the very bad pun here - biggrin.gif) if you're not prepared for it.

while playing through as my dunmer female, i got polyphiric hemophelia (vampire's disease) every single time i fought vamps. got to be a pain, so eventually i just let it go and embraced the shadows. a real pain now that i have to feed all the freaking time, but worth it until i finish the cure quest.

I killed around five Vampire's in one cave run, and I got effected even thought I'm a Redguard...

But it depends a lot, it's not a certain amount of hits or anything smile.gif

I had my redguard with a ring of +100% desease resistance on (175% resist anyone?? biggrin.gif ) and he STILL got infected from 2 of 5 vamps i took out!

Hmmm, but there are so many cheap potions/scrolls/shrines for cure disease, and easiest yet is the cure disease spell which only costs about 30-40 magika. Why not cure disease before you contract vampirism if you don't want it?
