When I'm in jail and I click on the bed to serve time, I get a 'the program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down'-message. Is this a known issue?

No-one experienced this then? Then I guess it's not a known issue. Did a post in the official forum as well, but it got bumped off the first page in minutes... No replies and no views so far.
Anyway I did a search there and suspect it is related to other bugs that appear when the inventory is changed. Hope it'll get fixed in a patch.

Hmmm, so it happens everytime you try to go to sleep in jail? Mabey your computer is overheating. I've finnaly concluded thats why my computer keeps crashing... last timed it crashed it was burning up.

Thanks, but no overheating.
I think it's related to that your inventory gets changed. Apparently there are some issues with that.
When you go to jail, everything except one lockpick is taken from you, and you get some old ragged clothes to wear. Then when you click a bedroll, you serve your time, and after this I think you get back all of your possessions. This is when it locks up.
Maybe I'll try to drop most of my inventory before doing that mission sometimes (it's a mission where you have to get arrested to get on friendly terms with an inmate), but for now I've just reloaded a save from before accepting the mission and do other things.

I stole something by mistake (was trying to read a book when I picked up some cup in the shelf of a bookstore). Since I was going to reload anyway I tried to go to jail again. This time I had no problems when I clicked on the bed to get out.
Perhaps it is related to that quest then. Anyone done it?
SPOILER:
It's the one you get if you ask about rumours in Bruma, where that married couple are accusing each other, and the husband is in jail.
