Full Version: Two Questions

Garet
Well, here are my two n00b-ish questions:

1) Can anyone link me to or tell me how to create custom weapons and armor? I.E. I choose a graphic, then give it a name, add stats, etc.

2) On the Cheats page, it says to add an item use player.additem [itemID] #. So, for example, I would type player.additem 000ADDAA ? I tried that but I always get a wierd error and nothing happens.

Thanks for the help. smile.gif

Well, to your second question I have no answer, but I can tell you how to make your own items.

1) load up the CS.
2) load up the Oblivion file.
3) Select the tab for whatever you want to make (i.e. Weapons)
4) Double click on any weapon that has the look you want. Make sure it has no special scripts or anything.
5) Change the ID to anything. You won't see it in game so you can call it anything. Also change the name. The name you WILL see in game.
6) click 'save'
7) When it comes up with 'ID changed, create a new form?' press Yes.
8) Find it in the list and load it up again.
9) select the Type of weapon you want. BladeOneHand is a one-handed blade. BluntTwoHand is a two handed axe/mace/club. It's easy enough to understand.
10) On scripts select NONE.
11) On enchanting select NONE. I'll show you how to make a enchantment later.
12) If you want it to be able to hit ghosts, creatures with Normal Weapon Resistance etc. tick the checkbox.
13) Select the weight you want your object to be. A normal steel sword is about 10.
14) In the Value box, type in the amount in gold you want your weapon to be worth.
15) In the Health box, type in 200 for now.
16) In the Speed box, type how fast you want the weapon to attack. 1 is normal.
17) On the Reach box, type in how far you want your weaopn to be able to hit from. 1 is normal.
18) On the Damage box, select how much damage you want your weapon to make. A Dwarven mace is 9.
19) Don't tick the box labelled 'Quest Item'.
20) Hit 'save'.
21) Go to the File tab on the top of the screen and press 'save'.
22) Name your mod how you want it, i.e. MyFirstWeaponMod.
23) Exit the CS, load up the Oblivion launcher, click on Data Files and double click your mod.

There you go! A weapon all of your own. If you want me to tell you how to make an enchantment just PM me. And if anyone else wants help just post here.

So you want to make an enchantment too? It's your funeral tongue.gif ...

1) Load up the CS
2) enable both the oblivion file and your mod, select your mod and click 'set as active file'
3) go to the Enchantments tab
4) Right click on the menu and select 'new'
5) Type in an ID, this can be anything
6) Select your enchantment type, if it's going on your weapon select Weapon, if its going on your armour selct 'Apparel'
7) Right click on the list, hit new
8) Select any effect yyou want your enchantment to have, i.e if its for your weapon you would maybe want fire damage or drain fatigue or w/e
9) Set the range as 'touch' if your putting it on a weapon
10) set the 'area', this is the area your enchantment effects, i.e if you put 10 it would affect everyone within 10 feet, if putting it on a weapon i would put 0
11) In the 'duration' box put the time in seconds you want your effect to work
12) In the magnitude box put the power of your spell, i.e. if you put 30 it would do 30 points of fire damage
13) Leave the ActorVal box empty
14) click 'ok'
15) open up your custom weapon and in the enchantment box select the ID of your enchantment.
16) click save
17) Save your mod. You should now have a custom weapon with an enchantment.

hope that helps smile.gif
