Well... finished the thieves guild quests yesterday, got elected to the new gray fox, everythings great. But... is that all? No regular income from the guild, no "you're our boss" taunts, no dubious comments from guards, nothing?
I mean in the arena you at least get those weekly games, which bring in alot of cash.
Please correct me if i've missed a thing or two...

Sadly enough, no. but if you equip the cowl, it has it's own separate bounty, fame, and infamy. so you can go into a store, equip the cowl, steal something, take the cowl off, walk out the door, and you'll have no bounty on your head.
