We are a classic rock style band taking influence from bands like: Jimi Hendrix (Experience, and Band of Gypsies), The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Band, and more. We have also taken influence from blues greats such as Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, and others. smile.gif

We are three brothers:

Ben Falk - 21 (Guitars)
Adam Falk (me) - 18 (Bass)
Jon Falk - 16 (Drums)

What does everybody here think of it. smile.gif

-What kind of bass do you have?

-Do you like James Taylor?

I have a fender P-Bass Lite Deluxe.

I haven't listened to Taylor extensively, but what I have heard I like. smile.gif

Nice guitar! smile.gif

Yeah, the guitarist in our band (Ben) has been learning finger-pickin for the last few months on his acoustic. smile.gif

I've been playin Bass since 1999, and all guitars do sound different - especially electric, but acoustic to. Good example, Ben has two Fender Strats, one is an American Strat, the other is Mexican Strat - the Mexican sounds better, because it is heavier - the American Strat is really light, and thus has a lighter tone.

well i've never played a foriegn guitar. All american baby!

but me... lets see i've been playing since i was 18 so... that would make it what 30yrs. Keep it up and dont stop playin.

American guitars were great back in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. But as soon as they started to mass produce them in factories, I don't trust American made product anymore.

I will definately always keep playing. I've only been playing into my 6th year so I know there is tons more to learn. smile.gif
jonajosa
too bad you don't trust them anymore. Both Gibson and Fender still make their guitars by hand. They work great still.

Yeah, but they still release lots of guitars with lighter wood - well actually Gibson I am not sure on, because it is hard to find american gibson guitars here. But the american strats I have picked up recently, have all been lighter wood. But the foreign guitars (which are actually american, they are just assembled in other countries), are always heavier.
