So after beating the game with my khajiit I've started an argonian with no combat skills as primary, just to screw around with. So I've been using hand to hand (he's level 9). And it dawns on me, am I ever going to be able to have damage on strike bonuses. I can't use poisons on my hands, I don't believe I can enchant my hands. are on strike enchantments possible on gauntlets and if so will they work? It seems hard to believe that Bethesda would just screw players with the patience to try hand to hand with regards to added damage affects. Anybody with any help I'd really appreciate it.

All wearable items on CE effect. Meaning they effect you constantly, when worn.
So no cast on strike guantlets.
Though, Hand to hand deals both Health and Fatigue damage, so inability to upgrade and enchant your "weapon" is the tradeoff you make.

And i heard that on later perks you will be able to paralyze your oponent for a short time.

Yeah. That's about what I figured. my h to h is at journeyman now and it still holds its own as an attack method. But no 30 pts on strike fire damage makes quik kills in heavy situations hard. It just seems guantlets should be on strike enchant-able.

i re-read the instruction book about perks, and to get the best bonus out of your hand to hand, you also have to get a decent level in block. once you get good enough with both, you can not only recoil your opponent with a fist-block, but counter-attack with a chance to disarm. not only that, but you gain the abilities "knock-down" and "paralyze" as with the other weapon categories.

when you get disarmed, does your char drop his weapon and you have to pick it up again

Sometimes your weapon is flung far away and you have to search for it.

another thing thats good about hand to hand (at lower levels) is that if you drop your opponents fatigue below zero by punching them, they fall down and don't get up again until their fatigue is above zero.

More perks to hand to hand:
- Never spend money to recharge enchantments
- Never need to upgrade weapon
- Never have to worry about being able to hit ghosts. Fists can hit anything.
- Never need to worry about inventory space
