Daedric is the best! it kicks butt.
softwhisper
voted for glass, but that's just because i prefer light armor. character actually wear's a hodge-podge of self-enchanted glass (all fortify luck) and various unique pieces (boots, cuirass, shield, greaves). well, the greaves and shield are glass too, but i got them from exploring.

i would have voted for some armor you get during quests, but it would be a spoiler biggrin.gif
(and thus, wasn't on the list)
deedo
Glass looks the coolest IMO.
Volsung

Shroud Armor or The Listener Robe?

Anyway, mine's Shroud Armor (with the hood).
But from this list......Daedric looks the coolest, but my stealth guy is using Glass (light armor)

Voted Daedric.

BTW Leigon is a typo for Legion right? tongue.gif
xycolian
Daedric looks far worse in Oblivion then it did in Morrowind (IMO) but it's still my favorite armor in Oblivion.
Agent Griff
I quite like ebony, it gives me a knightly feeling especially if I'm wielding a claymore when using it.
ThanadoS
glass, because i like that greenish tone smile.gif (and i'M a light armor guy)
Fuzzy Knight
Well I haven't seen so much yet, but glass looks nice - But I really like the Dwemer Armor that I'm using now, think it's pretty sweet looking and the sheild is also very nice smile.gif

You forgot the Blades set btw... wink.gif
Fethenwen
Aah, geez. I shouldn't have looked at this thread, it's quite spoily.

I voted Daedric which is all enchanted for strength. Makes me buff and able to bring back tons of great gear for selling.

Glass would be a close second. Why luck though - can anyone tell me the functional difference between 50 and 90?

Next time I'm going glass but haven't decided on enchantment yet - either reflect, absorb magic, reflect normal damage, or fortify sneak. Would do chameleon, but that chamelon effect is too darn cool and makes you disappear - I want to see my character! smile.gif
sins_to_dark
I've a;ways liked orcish armour since MW and i think its one of my favs so far, i lke ebony also
DarkHunter

I think that it could apply in the lockpick minigame. For example: you have 100 luck but you have 5 security and you try to auto-attempt an 'average' lock you most-likely succeed if you have a 100 luck but if you have 50 luck, your chances at auto-picking the lock wouldn't be as great.
ThanadoS
doesn't luck also determine how much damage you do/get and items in chests and such?
xycolian
Good point ThanadoS, I think that if you have a higher ammount of luck, you'll constantly do more damage in battle then if you didn't have a high level of luck
Furious_George
Okay, fair enough. The manual says luck has an effect on everything you do, so it stands to reason your theories have some truth to them. However, I'm interested in quantifying the difference. How much more damage would you do (on average) with 100 vs 50 luck? How many more times (on average) would you pick a hard lock with a 40 lockpick ability? Etc.
magicalhobo
Ebony. While not as powerful as Daedric it's a lot more noble looking and thats what I care about. I wanna look good while slaughtering my enemies. Classy good.
