Level 25 dark elf battlemage with enchanted deadric armor except helmet or sheild(missing helmet but not magic sheild.) and enchanted deadra longsword. A high blade and almost mastered some magic. I also have 71 security from the skeleton key so that makes me almost perfect for lockpicking. So I have something from every class.

Currently level 27 Redguard alchemical social fighter (high fighter skills with the ability to converse and make kickass potions). Mastered Heavy armor, with blade, sneak, and armorer close behind. Dabbling in this n that. Finished guild quests except fighter's. Also have lvl 7 Bretong. Have to share the 360 with my wife, who has a lvl 6 wimp (lol) and level 17 dark elf thief.

Lothran is level 50 and has been there for years. Ignorant as I was about the scaling thing, I thought I made him stronger than the monsters every time he leveled up. I was so focused on that that I stayed in one spot ( All-Saints Inn upstairs I think) and spammed several levels in a row. If only I had known, I would have capped him at 20-ish.
Oh, well. No biggie I guess. At least not after all this time

I think it's great that Lothran is L50. The wisdom, experience, white hair - it all works beautifully!
As you know, Buffy has a handful of 'never ever touch' major skills, so she's forever L19.

Now when you say it, it has actually worked out kinda nice. Experienced as he is I think level 50 suits him well, along with his white hair.
It´s kinda funny though. Buffy has more hours under her belt than Lothran but she´s way younger!

I've stated it before, but since the game has all its monsters in play at level 26, that's where I target my characters' cap. I don't really care that some loot scales beyond that point, but I do want full Liches on the menu.

I'm not sure how high Renee Gade I got...whenever glass-wearing bandits show up, that's how far I got before I rage-quit her game one day!
My current highest-leveled character is probably Dyan phor a'Cauz, my Paladin who did KotN. SHe got to about Level 8 I think, but Lady Saga (Ranger Wood Elf) or Kahreem (Bandit/Thief Redguard) will probably pass this. Saga has Conjuration as a Major, and she does use it occasionally. Kahreem has Sneak as a Major (and he sneaks lot).

mirocu, is Lothie over 2K yet?
Renee, like you, I never cared for the 'glass bandit' phenomenon. That was one (of many) considerations for capping at 19. Not only do we avoid glass bandits and daedric marauders, but those baddies wear a nice mix. Although it includes some mithril/ebony, we still see quite a bit of leather/fur/iron/steel.
Another pleasant discovery we made and UESP wiki verified it is that monsters start appearing on roads and as bosses 2 levels before their stated level. That means that L19 Buffy gets to occasionally see L20 minotaur lords for example. That made me happy to see!
The only real drawback, in my opinion, of our L19 cap is when it comes to goblins. At that level most random goblins are shamans. No big deal, but disappointing to fight almost exclusively shamans and see them used as 'foot soldiers' when clearing a non tribal goblin dungeon. Because of the rule I mentioned in the paragraph above, we do occasionally see a war lord which makes for a wonderful change among the sea of shamans. To keep all those varied skirmishers and berserkers and such would have required a cap of like 13-15 and that would have precluded master alchemy gear and. . . well, 19 works well for us.

I wouldn't have a problem with the glass bandits if lesser bandits wearing fur, leather (etc.) were still the dominant force. My prob with the glass bandits is that all the lesser bandits (and many lesser enemies) disappear from vanilla all at once,

There isn't a mod or a command that fixes this?

I've looked but haven't found one, and I'm nowhere near smart enough to fiddle around with leveled lists etc. Thanks for the idea, but it's one of those things we're okay living with.

He was, long ago. Now he´s around the four digit but he has enough treasures stashed away that he can sell and get enough to buy the whole province

I had no problem before with that. I thought they looked nice and shiny from far away while lining up the bow

The original Jerric is Level 41. I didn’t load his game to check, but I’m sure he has another level or two left in him. Jerric was my first custom class. ALL of his major skills are the most-used. Oops.
X-box Jerric is much more cautiously crafted. I’d guess he’s Level 4 at a little over 40 hours. He should (hopefully, I might have screwed up) top out before the scum and villainy are decked out in glass and daedric. My archers enjoy a target that glows in the dark, but Jerric likes surprises.

That is good to know. I am thinking a couple of my recent games are gonna make it to the mid teens.

That'll be neat to see all those changes again as the world keeps leveling up. I've forgotten what exactly happens.
