Ive got an old pc and my partner has a nice shiney newish one. My doesnt have a DVD player and his does.

I bought Oblivion, installed it from his pc across the network but am unable to play it as it keeps asking for the dvd.

I even used daemon to link to his dvd player (I have his dvd player mapped as a drive), and tried installing it from there (after uninstalling it of course smile.gif ) but still the same problem.

So at the moment Im playing it on his PC which he is getting fed up with as he wants to play Doom4 (hes not into morrowind) but I have a breather as he has just gone to work in Portugal for 6 days.

Sorry I do realised Im babbling.

Anyway long story short, does anyone know of anyway I can play on my pc without having a dvd drive?

Hope the above makes sense to someone.

Thanks in advance.

You could copy the .iso of the game onto your computer. Mount it, and then install/play it that way.

It's really just a point of view. It's just like making a back-up of a game disc. You won't believe how easy it is to scratch a game disc to the point of where it can't be used anymore. I think it's perfectly legal as long as you don't put it on the internet.

Somehow,i doubt it.
If that is the case, why are there game cracks?
There are copy protection methods on the disc:Like SecureROM or SafeDisc.Bypassing them is against the most world countrys law so.....

I really don't know which one does Oblivion have (does it have at all?).
