Bucharest! Oh, in Oblivion? It mus be Cheydinhal. Great scenery, and I love those foggy sun rises and the mountains near the city.
Duncan Frost
Don't ask me, I haven't upgraded yet tongue.gif
Ola Martin
Cheydinhal, I just like it, and their horses are great biggrin.gif
Wurlon
I like Bruma for the architecture and the snow, although it sucks that the house for sale doesn't have a working fire (in the one area you would need it).
ThanadoS
Cheydinhal and Bruma, Chorrol is nice too and Anvil is great as well... gee i don't have one favourite smile.gif
Volsung
I like Bravil quite alot. It's got this feeling to it. Some towns are beautiful, and others seem more human like Bravil. Everything isn't perfectly in tthat town, and it's a bit crappy with the Skooma den. I guess that's why it has a special atmosphere.

Guys, please be careful, what seems like common knowledge to you may be a spoiler for others. Thanks.

varies depending on character race. cheydinhal for the dunmer thief, imperial city for the breton paladin, and bravil for the khajit mage.

You kind of spoiled it there.

May I suggest hitting the report button next time something like this happens? Thanks smile.gif

Bruma. Hands down.

Bravil's nice though, Y'know, because it really comes across as a complete [censored]hole.
Aki
Personally, I like Anvil the best. Sea. Sun. Nice architecture, and a Temple to Dibella.

biggrin.gif

Though, I like Kvatch too, simply for the symbol of the place (it has a wolf or something on it. Instant win!@ tongue.gif ) and the Imperial city is...awesome.

The White-Gold Tower (AKA Imperial Palace) looming in the sky everywhere, the Arena, the Arcane university..... biggrin.gif
Foster
I like Bruma. Why? The braziers on the walls, the way the whole place feels cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey (and no, that isn't being rude, a brass monkey is a naval term), and the fact that you can see for miles when you look out off the walls.

Second are Chedynhall and Chorrol, with Leyawin a third. Anvil is too foggy and too full of annoying people, Brevil is a dive and Skingrad reminds me of Bradford. Trust me, if there is one place in the world you don't want to be reminded of, it's Bradford.
sirrom2007
wonder y no one likes kavatch lol
xycolian
I really really like Chorrol (thats the city I own a house in) but I like the Imperial city even better, so that's what I voted for.

EDIT: I'm the only person who voted for Imperial City so far! wacko.gif
sh4dowasesin0
chorrol mainly because it was in one of the chapter movies, and i watched it over and over again, and went crazy wanting to go to that city myself smile.gif.
im not really a fan of the imperial city. its so big, but most of it is pointless. there could have been alot more shops and things to do..i mean seriously, what the hell is the point of the elven gardens? there is jsut a few houses and a tavern... phhht. (meh, well thats my opinion anyway)

also, bruma is cool, i like snow smile.gifsmile.gif
kitty_dust
i like anvil, kvatch when oblivions invading and leyawiin.

anvil because its the 1st place i discoved out of all of them, kvatch coz all the broken stuff gives it a good effect lol and leyawiin coz its really misty. laugh.gif
Chiglet
I like Anvil because it's near Kvatch. Easy hop to home from there. wink.gif

Chiglet
Fuzzy Knight
Skingrad smile.gif Simply like it, and the Mages Guild practice Destruction Magic...
Ibis
My particular favorite town in Oblivion is Anvil. Not exactly sure why, but I picked it even before ever playing or opening the game. I just saw it in TESCS and I guess I liked the sound of it. Then, after seeing it ingame, I knew I had made the right choice instinctively. I know it is a bit out of the way, but that is precisely why I like it.
My Khajiit Kingdom is hidden away there where few will ever find it ... these khajiits are definitely "Don't call us, we'll call you ... for dinner! hehehe" They are quite a bunch to handle - but with The RoyAl SugarFlash as King conducting the affairs of the small bustling kingdom, we think that they will be alright - at least until dinner bell and then it's every khajiit on her own!!!

couldnt agree with you more, thats one of the only things ive found dissapointing about the game:

the populations of towns and specifically the I city are so small it seems like you are sometimes the only one there... you would expect a city to be live with festivals and culture not like two people guarded by about 50 soldiers... it would make the atmosphere in towns a lot better and you would really tell the difference when you go out by your self into the wild biggrin.gif

my personal fav however is Leyawiin because of the quests ive found there (and the rewards) as well as the hospitality of the royalty (lol)... the weather sucks though wink.gif
Furious_George
I put Skingrad. My house there is the best!
I like the big stone architecture.

I also like the Imp City Arcane U. and Market Districts - so full of life and fun stuff!
Konji
For the lackk of verbal support, Skingrad is winning hands down. tongue.gif

Skingrad is favourite, it just seems larger than the other because the streets are small and the houses big. I can easiyl get lost there.
Kora
Cheydinhal gets my vote, because of the Dunmer population and the fact that it's richer in vegetation than other towns.
Konji
Yep, cos that's all we need in Oblivion....more vegetation. tongue.gif

Skingrad is a rerfeshing change from the amount of greenery there is.
Fethenwen
I haven't been to all towns yet, but I voted anyway. As for what towns I've visited so far, Bruma seems like a really cosy town. Reminds me a bit of this little town where I live at the moment. Snowy, and has lots of tree houses, and Nords in them :P
Taillus
I gave my vote to Anvil because Xander is currently living there. It is a decent place too. I have made friends with the merchants and the fighter's guild as well as the mage's guild are right down the street from home biggrin.gif
DoomedOne
Note: The following paragraph could be seen as a spoiler if you haven't completed the thieves guild.

I don't know, I don't chill enough, whenever I'm bored of dungeon hacking and feel like going somewhere to chill I always pick the imperial city because my water front house is an easy place to stash stuff (when if I took off a certain item of feather I wouldn't be able to move, but I don't want to walk down the street with it or I'd get about ten feet). I've robbed it dry now though, so usually these days I'm in skingrad, chilling with my servant and my adoring fan. I'm also pretty tight with the count in skingrad, most of the others, aside from maybe the countess of choral, don't know me quite as well as Hassildor.

End spoiler.

My favorite region of the game is the deep southeast. It's very peaceful and beautiful there, even on my semi-low settings.
Dat dope boy
its all bout the big city where you can get anything you need

Chorrol for the gaurds. I am going make myself a dungeon and collect them, my ranger is currently wearing the Chorrol armour though I have that nice enchanted cuirass from Kvatch on me as well as a Kvatch sheild which I wear when I want the extra strength. I think Chorrol is also where I get my arrows, but I forget, I only like it for the gaurd uniform, can't remember anything else about it apart from location, it could be the place where I get my arrows if it is then I like it for 2 reasons. I also like the place with coloured stone buildings but I forgot where that is.

Skingrad is pretty cool for the castle and the uniform, city is average though.
1234king
anvil, no competition. i mean cmon theres nothing better than a city by the sea. smile.gif
CornedBeef
I like Bruma because it's the farthest north and the architecture it pretty nice.
Kayla
Ah, Anvil ftw. The lovely sea, and the beautiful scenery. biggrin.gif
jediravenclaw
Cheydinhal gets my vote. Beautiful sceanery, beautiful architecture. My house isn't too big or too small...and I've got to factor in the DB sanctuary. Makes a Listener feel safe living just around the corner. happy.gif
ThePerson98
Kvatch must feel very hated right now. biggrin.gif

Well..Kvatch got leveled.

I'm sure it would've got more votes otherwise. I mean, being the second largest city in Cyrodiil (susposedly...) and having an Arena, it could've been Oblivion's "Balmora".

Plus it had the most badass emblem of all the cities. tongue.gif
DarkHunter
Balmora the best city in all of Morrowind... biggrin.gif

Now where is it that I buy my arrows at?
Chorrol
Imperial City
Anvil
Bruma
Skingrad
Cheydinhal
Leyawiin
Bravil

***Note to self = Remember & Purchase more arrows soon*
hunter14
i like imperial city because there is much to do there. theres the arena, mages thingy, shops and more
Legato
The best house is RoseThorn Hall (Skingrad) but city-wise I prefer the Imperial City. The reason being that aside from bartering, there is NO reason to be in a city.

I only ever bought 1 arrow, and that was an elven arrow to see what it looks like. I steal my steel arrows off Honditar in Chorrol when he goes to practice. Though I am using Dwarven at the moment because I have so many. And I can hide underwater so your arrows can't get me and then come out to shoot low flying birds.

Chorrol by faar, I like the town, it have an emotional attachement to me (could it possibly be that we spend so much time at Chorrol.Com).

Also the fact that you get the crappiest house ads the the joy....it was just a laugh to see what hosueyou could by there...simply hilarious. biggrin.gif
Bolzmania
When I look at the mods of a rebuilt Kvatch it looks pretty nice, Otherwise i think Cheydinhal Chorrol and Anvil.

skingrad because of the house and chorrol same reason i duno y i just enjoy it their
Hypedupturtle
Skingrad, closely followed by Chorrol for me.
noniin_kaikki_tai_ei_mitään
Skingrad just becouse ov rose thorn hall
Arcalin
Rebuilted Kvatch is WAY the best.
It is as big as imperial city, with Ayled Dungeon, new Castle, shops, 5 guilds, trainers, new unique looking Items...

Without mods, skingrad sucks, Anvil too, leyawin is poor, Imperial city as too much guards, bruma is always under attack, so or cheydinhal, or Bravil (bravil is the best baby)
Skillgannon
The architecture in Bruma is great, although the town needs major expansion in my opinion. And i love the walk up to Cloud ruler temple. The surrounding area also has some of the most stunning scenery. I cant wait till a skyrim mod comes out (preferably Tamriel Rebuilt).
