Full Version: Cart for Horse
Chorrol.com > Mods > Oblivion Mods
Pieinsky
I would presume there are roads connecting the main cities in oblivion. So I think it would be a great idea if someone would create a cart which your horse could pull. It would be great for merchant type characters. You could carry way more items too. laugh.gif
B-rat
great idea,
you could add stuff into the cart
set the prices..
and npcs could buy stuff from it !!

or you could set up a shop...

Cool i did'nt think of that. i would say this mod is'nt too diffucult for an experienced modder. Please, pleaseeeeeeeeeee make it smile.gif

lol, you could paralyze a citizen and drag him in your cart and run away.

Of corse you can drag bodies, i'm not sure of paralyzed once tho. But you can't pick em up, and put em in a container or something.
I love to try to hide dead bodies, so that the guards can't find them tongue.gif

Edit: btw, this is a good idea, i'm not any good modder either

I think featuring this in a quest would be cool it could be youre get away vehichle and you could take out guards by shooting from the back of the cart (if you can even do that?)

The cart should definately encumber the horse but to make up for this you should be able to have multiple horses hooked up. the more you have the faster they go except there should be a peak speed. I want this mod so much!!
hunter14
i think that the mod would be a waste of time. sorry but i would not use it at all.

It would be even cooler if you could make merchant NPCs that would go from town to town selling goods, sometimes rare goods. And you could find them on the roads with those carts.

Even add quests that in the thieves guild you ambush them. Or make it so bandits will hide and ambush them.
Ibis
If Bethesda gets around to letting modelers input their own work or non-Bethesda existing models into Oblivion, this mod would probably be possible. There is even a rudimentary cart (the mining cart) from Morrowind that could be used - it isn't fancy but it is a cart.

A scripter could attach the Moveable Container script to the cart probably, and then it would be able to move and hold an inventory of items for you like a chest or closet do. It would probably also have to be scripted to move in unison behind the horse. It's weight could be adjusted to nil or zero so it didn't emcumber the horse. But the larger the it's weight - the more inventory items it'll hold. If it works like Morrowind anyway.

I think there were also Guar carts in MW, weren't there? And if it is ever done, I'm sure modelers would want to make their own variety of horsecarts. As for selling from the cart, the simplest way I know of would be to have a merchant who goes along with the cart and assign ownership of the cart/container to him and then lock it and you would have to buy from him to get the items in the cart.

I like this idea, we'll see if it happens.

It was actually guars with the inventory on their back.
Ibis
Yes I know about the Pack Guar but I thought someone had made a cart for one too. Maybe not.
Tlo1048
Someone Seriously has to make that cart
REASONS:
You could load up alot of mercenaries in it to kill people/guards
Pillage cities
Make a travelling village
Ibis
Now you are talking about letting it transport NPCs instead of just being a moveable container for object inventory. I'm not sure how someone would do that. Maybe scripting could do it. Are there any previous instances of this concept in the game? I can't think of any. wacko.gif
DungeonHunter
this sounds really cool:), but i would limit it to traveling NPCs and only items could be stored in the back. also, itd be nice if at night, they set up camp with a gaurd dog or something.
Badda-Tish
But it would be a pain in the a** if NPC merchants were travelling to different cities and accidentally walk to close to a ruin with loads of maruaders or bandits that kill them, especially when you are higher level and they only use glass and daedric stuff
