anytime anyone/anything other than me uses a chameleon spell, my screen gets all blurry and streaky until the person's chameleon effect wears off...
is anyone else having this problem, and does anyone know what i can do to remedy this? thank you

where were you that someone else used cameleon effect?, I haven't seen it used by anyone else.
thats the effect of it i believe. it was said that chameleon looks just like the creature from predator, all blurry, yet semi invisibel

well, the whole screen gets blurry and glitchy, not just the character

i was riding near imperial city and some rats attacked me with the effect (read in a post that it's part of a quest) and i was in a fort and a vampire had used it on himself

Yeah near there (up the hill to the west i think) is a small town (Hamlet?) with an inn. They are having problems with the wizard in the tower so they tell you to talk to him.its fun really...

Well thats about all I know... All i can suggest is check over all your stats or properties... sorry if this makes no sense, I sort-of know what i'm talkin' about. I just don't know all the technical terms. *shrug*

With my ATI x800XL i have a problem that whenever anyone uses chameleon on screen when i have AA (Anti-Aliasing) enabled, my framerate drops to like 1 or 2.
I just disable AA and have no problems. Maybe you should try disabling AA and see if the problem persists.

dude, exact same problem as you. BFG 6600GT OC, since yopu have a similar card, I'm guessing a card/driver issue. I have the latest drivers, and nothing I do seems to work, so I just avoid it for now. Hopefully it will be patched.
NVIDIA.....they allways screw up with drivers.
You know,i bet when you would turn back some previus version of a driver you wouldn't have that problem........I remember i had similar isues before....but that was LONG ago,back in 4 or 5 years.
And i would suggest poking around Graphics setings.Maybe you should turn off AA or something.........

I had this same problem (6600GT) but since I've downloaded the latest driver (8.21) from nvidia's website it works perfectly.
There's a lot of stuff you can do with the oblivion.ini make sure you back it up, then go into the display bit and mess around with the settings there, sorry I can't do more,

eh, i checked the driver version and i have the latest... did you do anything to your oblivion.ini and, if so, what?
I forgot that when it was happening, turning the actor distance down abit in-game seemed to cut it out completely, if not try with the actor distance on 0, its annoying but if you can find a point when the charmeleon effect starts glitching then you can stick just below it.
i haven't tested it yet but this mod might do the trick *crosses fingers*:
