Full Version: Little things that made me happy.

Andric
I own the game, but I still have to go to my friend Colts house. Anyways, Ive already noticed some small things that made me happy. (The main one being the ability to sit down)
What about you guys? (Have to go, Ill edit the first post more later.)
Blitz
I like it when people go to sleep and I can sneak in there house and kill them before they wake up and the ability to not have everyone hate you as A vampire.
Nil
I really like the weather and gradual changes from sunny to stormy. It's not all "sky goes black and rain falls down" like most game. I also like the way the foliage blows in the direction of the wind.
Agent Griff
A little thing that makes me happy? Well, the fact that I'll be geting the game today. Another little thing that makes me happy is the fact that people who are firmly against Fast Travel can use horses to get around.
Duncan Frost
I should get the game today (sitting in the hall waiting for it as i type)
and I think the best little thing will be being able to watch the NPCs make potions. biggrin.gif
treydog
Was creeping one of the early ruins. Saw a bandit standing on a balcony or gallery. When I plunked him with an arrow, he flipped over the railing to the floor below.
MarkII
getting the game a day early in the mail

or, in the game, walking down a road and spotting a deer, then running after it firing arrows going "tee hee hee"
Furious_George
Pretty much everything about the game.
Played for 4 hours after my wife hogged it and until I fell asleep in my chair. biggrin.gif
Been running around the Imperial City and enjoying the more convincing behavior of the townsfolk (e.g., if they're awake I can't just go around a corner to steal their stuff since they follow me smile.gif )
sins_to_dark
The brilliant combat system biggrin.gif i got it on xbox 360 and the arena fights are amazing each one as hard as the other, another little thing was picking stuff up and putting them down without having to pick it up then take it out of my inventory smile.gif

Also I like the Hotkey feature
MerGirl
The combat system, using magic while holding weapon, stealth system, lockpick minigame and the improvement on bows! Now, I'm actually sneaking around alot and using the bows and arrows (which actually works!) to take down long-distance enemies. Oh, and seeing NPC's talk and walk is very nice, too. smile.gif

The Lockpicking system...I love it, is so damn funny to do, sure I had my bad moments, with breaking my pick, adn all the tumblers fall down...but still, it's like a own game, that lockpicking it is. biggrin.gif

REALLY? how did they work the hotkeying in the xbox version? On comp it is just 1-8, which don't exist on the 360 without a keyboard thing.....not sure what the name is but I think some of you know what I mean....but even then it was removed from the MW b/c of lack of buttons, or so I thought...this intrigues me.

One of my favorite things was(can't play it again until like a month from now) making an orc that looks like the red guy from star wars one, you know....the evil dude...anyway, it was sweet with red and black skin. Also I had over 65 blocking skill before leaving the tutorial was nice, although it wasn't the most useful skill to have that level of skill in.....

Wow! Lockpickin' minigame!
That's the bestest thing I've heard so far :P
Another reason for me to go thief right away.

They probably don't know you are.

The small touches are my favorite. The weather effects are great (the way your feet crunches when you walk on snow, the way the rain hits the water when it's raining), but also there are the 'that's just dumb' things that so many other games fail to sort out. Like... some games don't have your torch extinguish when you go underwater. Sounds like a small point, but it's the way that the developers have made sure that there are none of these little glitches that break the idea of the world being real.

I also particularly love the way that the enemy use the same world you do. The other day I made a skeleton drop his weapons, and he went running off to find new ones, rather than just punch me with his boney hand.

I did just fairly recent, sneak around in the town of Cheydinhall, playing a bad*ss assassin. it was night and it was dark, and I found the perfect victim, he was walking alone up towards a BIG HOUSE......so when he gets in the backyard, I natuyrally tries tokill him...he runs off, and it showed that he was a noble...the guards had a death warrant for me...poor Blanky...R.I.P.....he was brytally killed in the backyard by some six guards...never stood a chance..sad.gifsad.gifsad.gif

one little thing that annoyed me: as im sure youre all thinking, is the fact you cant fight from horseback. its a bit annoying having to dismount each time youre attacked, especially as the enemies seem to go straight for the horse and its a bit hard to JUST hit the bad guy when its running around your horses legs. plus it would be so cool to use the bow from the back of the horse, zelda style, or just gallop past and swing your sword into them.

and one good thing that is more a bug than anything else, but i love it all the same. sometimes when you or an npc sits down at a heavily laden table, their arm swings round and comes into contact with items on the table top. if youve seen this happen, you know what i mean, because all the things on the table get knocked flying accross the room in a pretty funny way.

theres even better than that though! if you go to cheydinhall (sp?) and up to the castle, youre likely to find the count sitting in his throne next to an empty one. when i went there there was a bouquet of flowers on the empty throne, and when i sat down on it there was this wierd noise almost like a fart and the flowers went flying across the room smile.gif

and...

SPOILER to those who havent done the quest:

the magic painting quest, where you have to go into the painted forest and fight painted trolls with turpentine! i just thought it was so imaginative.

2) Yeah it is annoying, hopefully somebody will make a mod to fix it, although at the beginning when I *cough* stole *cough* a horse, I was amazed when it started killing a bandit who I had just dismounted to attack biggrin.gif
MarkII
yeah, whenever my horse (ok, that pastors horse. im not very far in the game yet) gets attacked when i dismount its the horse that ends up making the kill

Haha...did the exact same thing in an Ayleidic ruin! Loved it!

Little things...hmm... I found an erotic letter earlier! That was a fun detail.
Ola Martin
The very funny physics when picking up things and throwing them on people who sit or sleep(u should try this), and the paint brush holders are also pretty funny throwing around(try this too) tongue.gif
Hukai The Wandering
I love it when you walk into someone's house when they don't want you there and so they follow you everwhere. It's like playin hide, seek and steal with the NPC's.
nemesis
My favorite moment was seeing two imperial guards pelting each other with arrows. Eventually one died and i got free armor biggrin.gif it was a funny thing to watch.

o.O blink.gif
Cam
RAI, in general. The characters acting on their own, the voice acting, the conversations. I was just impressed alot by how well the game advanced in the aspects of NPCs.

EDIT- OH yea and they didn't nerf bows. THANK GOD.

a little thing, well probably the ability to mount horses. it would be kool to make a mod for a deadric horse or something. or maybe a dragon

Yeah I did that going from Bravil to layawin(sp?) (the southernmost town). I hopped off and my horse(stolen of course) started to attack this guy witha mace, I sat back untill I was afrad the horse would die... the game crasehd shortly there after... *shrug* oh well
treydog
Whilst sneaking through one of the ruined forts (are we sensing a pattern here?), I plunked a battlemage. He did not see me in the darkness, so he started firing off spells at some bandits. Soon 3-4 "maurauders" and 3-4 "bandits" were going at it like mad. I just hid in the shadows and watched. It was a thing of beauty.
the-anti-neravarine
The ragdoll physics, killing the ANvil lighthouse keeper with an bow and watching him fly through the air of the tower and land on the ground bellow, and gettinf no bounty is my idea of heaven.
kitty_dust
hmm.... i love the way u can mix ingreadence to make poisons, heath potions etc and the senic views are amazing also loving the horse fast travel (i always was lazy happy.gif) laugh.gif
