welcome

I moved this to the right section, doesn't really belong in the general section here

in Morrowind I always enjoyed using the Ebony Longsword, however since I haven't seen most of the weapons in Oblivion yet I'm not sure which one I'll like best this time. and yes my statement is purely based on cosmetics

My favourite weapon of mass destruction? I must say the Daedric War axe does look cool. I too base my view on the cosmetic details of a weapon, considering that, my favourite weapon back in Morrowind was the Ebony battle axe, because of the curved blade and the black-gold colours. From what I've seen until now I quite like the elven scimitar. It looks cool and seems deadly from what I've seen thus far.

Or...the Mace of Aevar stone singer....damage like **** , nice looks...and powerfull enchantements as well...

I have always liked the swords...
My favorite weapon from Morrowind would have to be the Hopefire sword. It had basically the same stats as Truefire, but it did electrical damage instead of fire damage. That was better because the population of Morrowind was mostly dark elves, who resist fire 75%.
As for Oblivion, I like the daedric longsword and katana, or the steel longsword the best.

For morrowind, it was without a doubt Chrysamere.
For oblivion, that daedric longsword/katana looked a lot better than Morrowind's.

My favorite weapon was the Daedric Crescent... though the animations for it didn't look quite right in Morrowind.

i love a bit of the old archery, but it was always kind of a let down in morrowind because it was just a bit... "where did that arrow go?". thats one more thing im really looking forward to oblivion for.

I liked all types of legendary/one-of-a-kind items just because of their diversity

My favorite weapon will be anything with a massive gigantic blade; large two-handers that is.
I have yet to play oblivion in order to see which greatsword I would like best. For now I really like the Dwemer two-hander. It is cosmetically not too shabby, can take a lot of abuse, and deal a good amount of damage.
In some demos, the player blocked an arrow attack with his shield. Can you block an arrow with a two-hander too?

Guys you have it all wrong,
The deadliest weapon of them all was the frozen limb you got outside the mead hall on Solstheim
Well maybe not the deadliest

but still a blast.

Real life: Chinese Broad sword.
Oblivion: So far, that Akaviri Katana you get at the begining of the game.

In Morrowind...it actually have to be the fork of horripilation.
In real life, I'd say the japaneese katana...I just love the looks on it.
Oblivion, I'd say the same as andric, the akivari katana.

I can't wait until I get The Umbra Sword (My Friend Got the Strategy Guide and told me you could get it again from one of the daedric shrines) It was my favorite weapon in Morrowind.
P.S. The Arena Rocks (If You Bet on A match just pickpocket all the spectators just in case your guy loses)

He got it from Ebgames on release. I just checked it and it's there and so is Umbra I guess it's assuming that we didn't kill him/her in morrowind. I don't know if umbra was a guy in morrowind but I think I read Umbra is a Girl now.
