I couldn't download it, either and now they've taken it off the site for another half hour.
They only seem to release them closer to the same hour everyday.

I can't believe they gave the Heir such a stupid name. Wow, the first thing I'm doing in Oblivion is to kill that son of a Bean after he becomes Emperor. Emperor Tiber Septim, Emperor Pelagius Septim, Emperor Uriel Septim and Emperor Martin Septim! All hail your doom! I'm so killing that guy because of his dumb name.

Why do you suggest that the priest in the video is the heir? I surelly don't believe so. I bet there are more people in Cyrodiil that are named Martin.. Or what am I missing here?
Agent Griff

First of all he has Sean Bean's voice. Second of all he even looks like Sean Bean a little. And third of all it's been already confirmed that he's the heir. Martin. It sucks.

Well if that's the case it sucks.. Really bad move by Bethesda giving that away like that, two days before release.. I must say I'm dissapointed. But well, I hope the story involves a bit more than just finding the heir, couse that would REALLY be dissapointing.

Yeah. That was a really bad move by Bethesda. I would have expected better from them than to spoil a part of the game by revealing the heir.

Or knocking him uncouncious more like it.
Of course... there's always the editor.
PS: That's totally the heir, he looks just like the Emperor (he's got the family eye bags!)
And I remember reading you having to deliver the amulet to a monestary in a spoiler review. I don't think meeting the heir is as a momentous occasion as we all thought it would be, they've let too much out for it to be.

Aye, it was wel known he was a monk in a monastery. It's one of the first things you do....so I don't think it's major. It's what you do with him that counts.

That's a relief

. I would have guessed that Bethesda wouldn't reveal anything mayor in the storyline just like that..

Martin is an illegitimate child, I believe, and doesn't know he's the heir. A normal name for a seemingly normal man.
Agent Griff
Mar 20 2006, 07:10 AM
It's a normal name for our days. But for the TES universe, it doesn't fit. If he is an Imperial he should have a roman sounding name, like his father or like many other emperors before him. And having a roman name is not for royalty or anything, almost every Imperial has a roman name.
Bofra

I believe Martin is a roman name actually. It's certainly european and it's not jewish, so I believe Martin was an uncommon but still roman name. Not that it matters much..

well.....um the priest's hair in the video is a different color than the heirs.

I knew his name was Martin like 30 years ago, they say it in the cast list, they released that info a long time ago. They say Sean Bean... Martin.
Also, Martin is a suiting name for the chosen one. I mean come on, didn't you ever read Redwall when you were a kid?

I just looked over at IMDB for Sean Bean's role in Oblivion. It says the Lost Heir so it doesn't spoil your experience. On a side note, it says Terrence Stamp's role and that is a big spoiler.
SPOILER DOWN
Terrence Stamp is Mehrunes Dagon. The devs lied, or better said, Stamp lied to us saying that he was some guy from a different line of kings with a different vision of the Empire.
