Anyway how will my PC fair with Oblivion?

MOBO: ASUS A8V Deluxe
RAM: Corsair Pro 2056mb
Processor: AMD 64 4000+
Graphics: GeForce 7800 GS 256mb (AGP 8x)
HDD: WD Raptor 10,000 RPM 36gb x2 RAID configured

I recently swapped (less than a week ago) from an ATI X800 XT Platinum Edition 256mb (AGP 8x) to the GeForce 7800 GS. Was this a good or bad choice?

Looking forward to some replies!

Thanks,
18th Century Unfortunate Man
you will run it in 50000000x60000000

Is this some kind of joke? mad.gif Are you making fun of all of us with PC's that are not nearly as good as yours? mad.gif In short, yes your PC will run perfectly. mad.gif

EDIT: Sorry if I seemed a little mad.gif , but I myself am desperately hoping my computer will even have a shot at running Oblivion. sad.gif

My PC's well over a year old, with the way PC's move on so fast I was still hoping I have a way of playing the game at top spec without having to fork out several grand again.

What are your PC specs?

I have a laptop. Laptops are designed to conserve power, so I have a processor that runs at 1.5 GHz. sad.gif All of my other stuff is fine however, if not better:

1 Gb of RAM biggrin.gif
128 Mb on my graphics card ( Nvidia FX series, supported by the game) smile.gif

I am hoping the extra RAM will make up for where the processor is lacking, but I doubt that it will. sad.gif

Little question - how old are you, have you bought PC with this configuration yourself, for your own money? Or your parents bought it? biggrin.gif

Good, if yourself. But I don't see the sense of this topic. It is obvious, that Oblivin will run pefectly on your PC. I think you just wanted to show that u have cool maschine laugh.gif.

Worried about the graphics card, I picked up the GeForce 7800GS for just over £220 I sold my old ATI RADEON X800 XT PE on eBay and got £170 which for a second hand card that was over a year old didnt seem right to me. Last thing I wanted was to swap out a card for an older or worse one (that said I had nothing but problems with the ATI card).

Any ideas on the full size of the game when installed? (pressed for HDD space)

Please, read official FAQ and you'll have answers to all your questions. There are supported video cards and HDD space required. 4.6 GB wink.gif .

How the hamster could you possibly be worried about the performance of a hamster cave Nvidia GeForce 7800 graphics card?!!

It is completely obvious that your computer will run the game and you know it.

As for the memory space, read the hamster official FAQ!

This thread is SSOOO over!
