I hate high-elves the most, since they were so cocky in Morrowind.

Those bloody Dunmer, with their endless
'Go away outlander'
'I don't talk to outlanders'
'Outlander scum'
Etc.

I hate Bosmers because they are very short and still have squeaky voices. Some of them also have gay tendencies.

Definately wood elves.

1. Annoying voices. Possibly improved in Oblivion, but I'm not counting on it.

2. Worthless racial powers. As if the animal charming wasn't useless enough, by proceding with Morrowind's main quest you became immune to disease anyway! Both will probably be a bit more useful in Oblivion, but still... this will be the first thing I mod.

3. Slowest movement speed. In Morrowind, your movement speed was multiplied by your race's "weight" in the editor (basically, x/y axis scaling). Wood elves, being the skinniest, therefore moved the slowest. God I hope this has been fixed in Oblivion.


I have a character that might appear to be a wood elf, but before I play him, I'm either going to "fix" that race or add in a Bosmer/Altmer hybrid race. I just hope the latter option doesn't interfere with dialogue too severely.

Imperials.

Dunmer, for practically the same reason as Duncan Frost and the fact that they are a rascist bunch from top to bottom. However If they were a bit nicer people (like I hope they are outside their home province) I believe Imperials come second, their natural ability to believe they mean something more than anyone else makes me want to punch them all in their faces...

What's up with so many people disliking Bosmers? Yes, they were ugly as hell without Better Faces, but with it they looked really cute . I also felt like they were the kindest race on Morrowind. So what if all males are slow-running gays? If they are nice to me I wont judge them.

Altmer. They were cocky and self-important and weak to everything.

Bosmer. Ever since Fargoth ive hated all of them.

I made sure to kill every single one in Morrowind... well I killed everyone in Morrowind, but I enjoyed dealing with the Bosmer twice as much

i dont like argonians because most of them are slaves and slaves make me so that meens argonians make me sad. Plus the fact that thier useless in combat helps

What have we dunmer done...we aint that bad ......I mean the outlander stuff and all that...it have a reason.

You see first of all, in the legion there is some from each race...after Nerevar had died, the empire attacked Morrowind...Or Resdayn as it was called those times, since Morrowind did not want to join the empire...I mean how would you feel if all other races banded against you...not happy I think.

To make matters worse, the imperials stated that Vvardenfell, was to be populated, no onne lived on Vvardenfell, after the dissapearance of the Dwemer, sake for the ashlanders whose task was to keep all the tombs and such blocked from intrusion. Vvardenfell, was like a semetary, all of the Dunmers ancestors are buried there...how would you feel if the other races who forced you to become just a province of an empire you had refused to join, came and settled down on the burial grounds of your ancestors, and forced you to live there as well.

They are also very suspicious, their so called leader, lord Vivec, was supposed to lead them to victory, so that they would not become a province...but after many battles, he suddenly surrenders, and make MNorrowind a part of an empire you hate....you would not be happy if your leaders betrayed you....there I think you have learned a løittle bit why we dunmer act the way we do...we dont like people to break into our ancestral lands, and think you are something...

But I hate the bosmers most..I just do. They are short, extremely irritating...just look at Gaenore, comes and demands money from you, if you givehim what he wants, he will in the end get angry at you, and later attack you...if you refuse he do the same thing...come back and attack you.....They have these damned voices that goes on your nerves VERY FAST, and then, they just......look ugly.

Oh yes, because we all know being homosexual is such a terrible thing....

Awww. Bosmer were my favorite race! And I thoughjt the females looked good with their default stuff ^^;. Fargoth was cool too! Reminded me of Bilbo for obvious reasons.

Altmer were too pompus. To high and mighty, plus looked like old British Women who gossip about the days of the New World.

I wasn't a big fan of wood elves nothing against them I just wasn't a big fan but i wonder why everyone has so much hatred for Fargoth i mean all he does is ask you for his ring you dont have to talk to him again and that mission where you find his stash isnt that bad but everyone has such a hatred for him

I choosed Altmer as my least favorite, I hate their magical disadvantages and the stereotypical high elf personality. Runner up would have to be Dunmer, I think they make great well rounded characters, but I have a grudge against them from Morrowind. Racist bastards

After you give him the ring he will come up in a sqeaky voice and say "I have a feeling we are about to get very close" and act all creepy in that way.

I'm not racist like that, though from an observer of Oblivion I have to say I don't particularly like the redguards, because they don't look like black people, facial hair looks weird as hell on them, and they all have an eerie glow to them.

I'd have to put Dark Elves for their looks (Awsome IMO), Imperials for their supiriority(sp?) and then thats 'bout it...

I agree 100% with you, the Dunmer shouldn't be hated just because of their bad attitude. Imagine if someone came to your cities graveyard, set up camp in a tomb, and then forced you to come?

Now, I don't love the Dunmer due to the slavery, but I dislike the Imperials more. Not only did they allow Dunmer slavery, but they also have invaded numerous lands, elected Richton, hold the Elder Scrolls (love the games, hate the objects), encroached on Morrowind and make low quality, all for show armor (is that just what I think?).

I want very much to like them, and all of the races make the world more interesting...but I think the designers did a terrible job with the faces for Argonians. Some races are tricky to get a cool look out of them...the lizards look horrible no matter how hard I try. I almost avoid talking to them just so I don't have to see their ugly mugs.

Don't hate altmer because they are better than you!!

I like bosmer, sure the men are annoying but the women are cool! Not to mention they are the best archers.

I hate bretons the most, because they are second rate at everything and aren't special, they look similiar to imperials but lack the empire which makes imperials cool and special.

And I sort of hate orcs, for the same reason, they are good barbarians but who wants to play a fighter without any grace. Not to mention they always seemed underdeveloped to me, no special storyline or personality in society, they were just there.

High Elves are very obnoxious, so they are my least favorite race.

I like'em all. Just cuz, each are special and look wise I can't say I'd ever want to see a pretty lizard man or orc. I think the models are rather well put together from a biological standpoint.
Not like in EQ2 them giving the rat chicks huge tits... Sure rats have tits, but I don't think they'd look like 8 year old girls running around with D cups.
Anywho, the poor Argonians have nothing going for them in Oblivion statwise. Sure they can breath underwater but there's nothing special in the water here. No spear skill to +10 in this game just leaves'em sub par and a hassle to turn into any archtype very well.

I can remember my first time playing Morrowind and actually not minding fargoth so much (that changed after a while) but I just wanted to slap Arille silly. He is the first NPC in the game that I considered taking down.

Why don't I see posts like this in threads like "what's your favorite race"? My thread is basically the same as a "what's your favorite race" thread, but my thread is just viewing this particular topic from a different perspective.

Hmmmmm.....i think i like them all.I despise Goblins and Trolls though.But they are not playable,neither they should be.....

when i get back into the official forum in august 2007 I´ll ask the lore masters, I could jsut go to the Imperial Library(or whatever it´s called) and try and find some info but I´m lazy

I could look up the redguards in the "new" poket guide to the empire, I remember reading something about them in there, I could type it up and post it here tommorow if you all don't mind.
