Depends on just how old you can become. Physically, I would take the oldest available. Mentally, I'll just say that my character is the oldest guy in Tamriel. Nothing beats the opportunity to use lines like:
,, They don't make bandits like they used to."
,,In my days, you would be killed by the six-year old girl next door."
,,Get out of my way, or gramps is going to give you a good old-fashioned beating."

Ok, and wizards somehow always look better when they look old. Wisdom comes with the years or something.

52 - 58 is how old im gonna be. I would say that at 52 - 58 Your not being told to lay down your sword because your an old geezer yet you still get some respect that comes with age.

Even though the storylines do not exactly intersect, My character was heading into his thirties in Morrowind so He will have sat in a prison cell for a while and will now be pushing fourty.

I wanna sound old for some reason. So I get get "Get offa my lawn young whipper-snappers" when someone attacks me.

My wood elf archer will be 18 like I will be when I start playing. Hopefully she (unlike me, she will be female) won't get huge swallen fingers like I do from archery.

And my Battle mage will be about 25; because vampires don't age.

I'll be 24 as that is how old Telina is in my story, i will play her as the same character that i am in Morrowind.

I dont even think that the slider gives you a numerical value for your age. I think your just supposed to figure out how old your guy is by looking at the wrinkles and such.

but hey, I haven't got the game yet so you can consider what i just said as squat

100+ for me, too bad it won't go as high as I would want it to though

my mage will be all old, because that's the stereotupical look for powerful mages
and my warrior/archers will probably be 20-30

I will be a dashing young warrior, this is my character before he met misfortune in the form of being deported to morrowind So i said 25

Then my mage will be a women who looks about 22

then my assasin who will also be in that age range

also my old necromancer who will be 100+

raecon is always 17 but my new encahnter guy i made is 60

I don't think that you can enchant items in Oblivion without being the master of the mages guild or something...

I´ll play as Serene of course, and I´ll have to see how the faces look like when i create her, and when I find a face of my liking I´ll set an appropriate age to her!

i'm going for 30-35, i'm not old, bu i'm an expierienced combat veteran, and i know the trade.

it depends.
my main barbarian will be 30-35 because he is an aspiring champion and gladiator. (go Nords w00t)
my thief will be younger because it will give him a more agile appearance (whippersnapper)
My wizard and necromancer will both be old becausw it reflects wisdom

Good ideas Scrotoclease, i was going to do the same for my wizard and thief, so all of our characters ages matched.

My character is going to be 26 when he escapes prison.

My Nord will be about.. 80 I think. He was pretty old in Morrowind (he had white hair and a beard) So 80 or 70. I don't really care.
Although... If I could choose 6 I would. That would be hilarious.

It would be hilarious if you made your character to old and right after you start actually playing he just falls over dead

Mine will be as young as possible. I don't know why, but I've always liked the young, headstrong type heroes.

Well i guess i would do it 17 my age but i wuld realy liek to do it a 40+ man so he can have scars and be wise
