If you thought it was a spoiler, why didn't you say so in your title/description?

Something about you having a close a great gate essentially. All the rest of just was stuff you knew you were going to do anyway. Delivering a Daedric artifact or two doesn't mean a thing. Trust me its probably not that much of a spoiler.
Besides, the main quest isn't an original storyline, it's just taken from a slightly new perspective (You play the chosen one's protector, not the chosen one). Spoilers about the main quest, unless there were some really trippy twists, aren't a big deal.

True... since we already know it involves finding a lost heir, entering Oblivion and shutting the gates... It says that much in the trailer...

I hadn't thought of it that way so much as the chosen ones finder ('find my son...and close shut the gates to oblivion' (or similar) and sidekick who does all the work while the high-born, and prolly charismatic, guy takes all the credit for all my hard work...rofl
also...
I agree that putting spoiler as the description is good.
I think I saw someone did this, and I like it..gj you person...

Well, there are obviously going to be multiple gates to shut, but this "Great Gate" does seem rather plot important.

who cares if that spoils it by the time you can actually get it because bethesda will find a way to delay it will hav totally forgotten about this

Nah they'll just take the gates out at the last minute - j/k
Seriously though - its all fairly logical and to be honest its what you'd find in most RPG questlines. The bots inbetween are what will make the story engaging.
edit: and by bots i of course mean...bits

I agree... We all know the basic storyline, but the twists and turns and what you see between A, B and C are what make it a new experience.

as I mentioned before....QUIT assuming that just because the info is out there and you and I are info hogs that everyone wants to know as much as possible before release....some people just want to know the basics and nothing more.....and maybe they aren't looking for the basics of the storyline...so unless you get a poll with EVERYONE saying they knew that...then you can't know that 'we all know the basic storyline'. Sorry but I am a bit obsessive compulsive about people putting words in other peoples mouthes, it's kinda a negative quirk to my character... but...yea neway I think this topic is getting old fast, don't you?
Actually i have to shed some light on the matter. This is a forum for information about Oblivion and TES. Anyone who doesn't want to gleam information about the up and coming game will probably steer clear of any informative forums. Every thread regarding Oblivion on this forum will contain information about either the plot, characters, systems, weapons, RAI - basically anything you can imagine.
We can't censor a thread because it contains information about the game in question.

Luckily I have the willpower to turn away from such threads...and please dont take this the wrong way prowler...I honestly dont think people should post such threads, it ruins the experienc of the game for many people...and most of us should know that .
So after my opinion...this one should be removed or at least closed.

No offence taken.
Although I think this isn't much of a spoiler. Unless you've been living under a stone it doesn't reveal much you couldn't have qeussed already.

why does everyone care so much about spoilers. Who cares that you know the [U]basic, the keyword in there is basic. Maybe there will be even a twist where you join the dremoras and defend the gate
