I know that there will be a arena in oblivion and a Arena Guild but the thing i want to know is... Do you have to be in the guild to fight in the arena and i think i herd that you can bet on fight if yes will u have to be in the guild for that? Dose any one know this information yet?
stargelman
You can fight one or multiple opponents in the Arena. You can bet on fights. Both these factlets have been confirmed. Beyond that - who knows. Since it's a joinable faction, I guess you at least have to join to fight. Betting, who knows.
Sirin
sorta reminds me of the fight arena in Jade Empire. or watever it may be called laugh.gif

My interpretation from what I've heard is that the arena guild exists sort of like a ladder, and betting is probably not connected.

Betting on fights will probably be avaliable to anyone with the money, but it's gonna be the first guild I join.
Betting on yourself would be a good idea. Either win a lot of cash and status or die and reload.

thats a great idea lol betting on yourself, but yeah my guess is you have to be in the guild to fight but not in the guild to bet, well im joining that guild first aswell anyway smile.gif

I think I heard that you can bet OR fight, but not both at the same time. In real competitions the competitors and their managers etc. are not allowed to bet so that fights are fair, real, and no one takes a dive, which of course still happens....but less than it would if they allowed them to openly bet
Discobiscut
I think the arena guild is a great idea
However I would recon that you would have to raise in esteme before being allowed to join the guild.
Not unlike the requirements that are needed for the other guilds.
A bit of adventuring to gain some status then probally a challenge fight more than likely against someone a bit higher than your self to prove your worth.
Or something completly differnet.
Joeri
how does the Arena look exactly? are there screens of it?
and when you bet and watch the fight, will there be hundreds of people around you, also watching the 'game'?

that would be fuckin awesome! smile.gif

I've seen the arena in the german video. It looks alright. People even cheer at you and that i think is cool. If the devs implemented this cheering so that the crowds cheer at you when you're beating the hell out of your oponent then that would be really cool. I would feel great hearing the crowds cheer at.
Joeri
but when you're in the crowd watching a fight, do you see hundreds of other people around you? because that would take too much to run at an acceptable framerate, i guess

I need to see the "German Video"... Everytime I ask for a link or official name, I get ignored.
DoomedOne
I think they way they did it was they seperated the audience into cells by sticking up divivders along the audience area so you're not with 100 people in the same cell you are watching fight but you're also not alone.

Or maybe the Arena is no bigger than Vivec's with only 20 - 30 supporters... That would be much easier... and it wouldn't cause much FPS drop since all the AI sets to "Cheer at Fighters until Fight Ends" then AI resumes as normal.
On the Xbox360 achievements list posted on the TES:Forum, it says something about Arena Pit Dogs... sounds fun already...

I think I already said something to like two or three different, and I am not the first person to talk say it,

The german video is illegal content and the moderators/admins are not allowing it on their forums, so look for it on your own, which is more than allowed or at least quit asking for someone to break the rules. I would think about e-mailing the link to you but 1) I wasn't impressed with the video in comparison to the american ones and 2) I don't know the link Universal Routing Location anymore.
